I sure do crave a good charcoal burger and am wondering why it hasn't taken off in SoCal yet, would be perfect for a quick, easy beach meal! I noticed a lot of new menu items, but this time stuck to my tried and true chicken sandwich and fries order while I am only in town for a short bit but next time I will venture out and try one of the new fries options. I also appreciate the points system, I was able to get $5 off my order this time. The chicken sandwich was fresh tasting and light, and the kids meal is awesome for my daughter, hot dog fries and a drink. I went in between typical busy hours and the wait was less than ten mins, but can see how it would get really busy, but good food is always worth the wait. Lot's of parking and seating inside and outside! Until next time Ted's, I miss you always.

I washed it down with their classic loganberry drink. Yes, they have malt vinegar for your fries too! Inside dining area is good sized and simple/utilitarian, with everything you need.

I'm a massive fan of all forms of hot dogs, whether it's standard fare like Ted's, or bizarre concoctions like Zunzi in Savannah, Georgia. Frank Gourmet just falls short for me. It did absolutely nothing for me. There was nothing gourmet about it and I didn't particularly enjoy it. I understand that it's making very interesting combinations and it's trying to offer dogs from all over the country. But the LA street dog (wrapped in bacon) tastes nothing like the LA dogs (not even one tenth as good, not even close), and the others have a similar story. I guess I am spoiled. You'd be better spending your money at one of the other downtown food carts, although if you fancy a hot dog there isn't really anything horribly wrong with these dogs either. It's better than Lloyd's Taco Truck. But then that's not saying much.
