Great place to stop for a quick lunch. Don't be put off by location in Valero gas station. Hot sausage sub was excellent. When I asked for a little pizza sauce on that, was told "we don't do that anymore ". ???

My friend brought the Cacio e Pepe as her favorite local pie to our pizza party, and it hit all the…read moreright notes! Salty and peppery, with that nutty, creamy flavor. She remembered to order it mid-afternoon (thankfully) because otherwise, we probably wouldn't have been able to get one close to party time. It's pretty clear why this pizzeria has such a great reputation!

This place was average for me so 3 stars it is! Wish I could do maybe 3.5. My 2 major complaints…read moreare the fact that there are no signs outside to tell you where this place is. You have to actually go inside the small vestibule area where prima oliva is to see the carpet for pizzeria Florian. I get that they are so busy that they don't need signs but I felt like it was very odd. Also the cleanliness of the floors was a bit of a turn off. Again, I understand they're really busy and just trying to seat people but if you are wiping the tables it would help to sweep the floors too. With all of that aside I actually REALLY loved the pizza! Of course I order the top choices- Calabrian crunch and the cacio e Pepe. Both were absolutely amazing, full of flavor and delicious crisp of the crust. One of the best pizzas in the area, of this style (not traditional Buffalo). The chopped salad was also good and had a great dressing that definitely tasted like a good quality balsamic vinegar. I would highly recommend both for future guests! Staff are fantastic and really work hard to get everyone's orders taken and food out as quickly as possible!

It's still officially birthday week in our house, and I'm taking advantage of my "dining out…read moremomentum" to score a Friday night dinner. Hubby and I met our granddaughter at Giuseppe's Restaurant on Olean Road in South Wales. This is a nostalgic little diner with a tiny little counter in the front. It reminds me of a quaint little rustic diner as one might find in a fishing village in the Adirondack region. The menu was surprisingly large for such a little establishment as Giuseppe's. I am on the eternal search for the perfect beer-battered fish fry. Giuseppe put on a really strong showing tonight with my fish dinner. The batter was a light golden brown and the fish was tender and juicy. Definitely fried in very fresh oil! It came with a 3" scoop of American potato salad, nice and flavorful! The coleslaw was very creamy. About midway through our dinner, our waitress brought over dinner rolls and butter for our fish dinners. My devoted spouse ordered his usual broiled fish. He loved the fish, but was not a fan of the coleslaw, as he prefers more of a vinegar and sugar dressing. The granddaughter ordered the lasagna which came with a large dinner salad. She enjoyed her dinner, but had to take home a large portion. We all ordered dessert, because we knew that it is all homemade here at Giuseppe's. Mike and I had the cherry crumb, which was very delicious. The little granddaughter got the apple pie to go. We most definitely will have to return to try out more of that expansive menu! The prices were much more budget friendly than many other restaurants we've been trying lately. We found the food to be plentiful, well prepared, and very delicious. His tuna Mac salad was very delicious!

A short drive from Darien Lake we were planning on trying a local place recommended for wings and…read moredecided Pasquale's was a better choice. Great choice! Modernized yet still traditionally styled decor and pictures of the place throughout the years welcomed us in. Another door was a takeout that seemed pretty busy at 4pm on a Saturday. Plenty of parking in this quaint village as well as the parking lot. Warmly greeted and quickly seated with a reservation we made on Open table minutes before we each decided on the Feast with chicken parm, lasagna, and Fettuccini Alfredo. Large portions of each and the Alfredo was more like Cacio e Pepe so cheesy and flavorful. Lasagna was perfect blend or ricotta and sausage like I grew up with, and the chicken parm was tender and the batter held well seasoned flavors. The starters were the caesar salad perfect homemade dressing, and pasta fagioli a tad cool but so good I gobbled it up. Soft fluffy rolls are served with oil and seasoning to tide you over while you wait. Service was impeccable perfect time check for happiness with food, drink refills, and how we were doing as we slowed knowing to go containers would be needed. I highly recommend! Left me phone home so will post pics when I get them from my dining partner.
