I have to admit I'm not a donut fan (first job was at Dunkin Donuts and I've had enough), but I was with a friend at the Canal District and she wanted to stop in. The place was sparkling clean and esthetically pleasing. The woman working there was very pleasant. My friend got one of their specialty drinks and we both got one of their donuts which the woman explained to us that they are made with rice flour. My friend loved her drink and donut. I thought mine was okay, but like I said I don't really like donuts so I'm mostly going with my friends thoughts. If you like donuts I'd suggest checking them out.

I'm typically not a fan of the traditional American donuts. However, while in Worcester yesterday I noticed the trendy Japanese donut shop, I just had to go inside and get one to try. The shop is very cute, colorful on the outside, and pretty crisp and clean on the inside. They had about five varieties to choose from. They all have the same base, with different toppings on them. They also sell Vietnamese coffee and bubble tea at Mochi Doh. I got the Cookies & Cream Mochi Donut, this is the most chocolatey option they had. One donut was $5.50. These are basically rings, they're much slimmer and smaller then a typical donut. They're also much airier, and significantly less sweet. I didn't really care for the Cookies & Cream flavor, but none of the other options called my name either. I think $5.50 is very overpriced for one of these. While I wasn't wowed, I would like to try one again, preferably with a more exciting topping.

A fairly new mochi donut place opening up close to the Worcester Public Market. The weren't many flavors to choose from, so we decided to get one of each to try. I noticed that these are slightly bigger mochi donuts compared to other places and since they were stacked slightly on top of each other the donuts sank into one another. These mochi donuts are heavy, very dense, and don't have the bounce of the mochi texture to them. They did not easily rip apart into rings and the flavors were nothing special. They also have ice cream mochi and drinks, but if you want quality mochi donuts, I'd pass on this place and go somewhere else.

Their dozen box doesn't neatly fit a dozen donuts.

I purchased a dozen for a small get-together and everyone could not stop raving about how good these were. Sounds like 5 stars to me. My other experience with mochi donuts comes from a location in Allston, so I'm not sure which one is more true to the traditional texture. I will say that the ones from Mochi Doh are softer, and more chewy than their competitor. It is not easy to rip off a piece to share with a friend - you basically need a knife if you don't want to make a mess. Other than that, every flavor I grabbed (churro, ube x oreo, winter wonderland, s'mores, fruity pebbles) really knocked it out of the park. Will definitely be coming back again for a different rotation. Parking wasn't great. Harding Street in Worcester is busy, and the street parking fills up quickly. Thankfully I was able to drive a several seconds northeast and find a spot along Pond Street. Walking a couple extra minutes wasn't the end of the world. The interior is fairly minimal with nothing worth noting. Just step in, place your order, and be on your merry way. I don't think there was any seating, and none of the posted images so far suggest that there are. Overall, I'm happy to see there's finally an option for these awesome donuts outside of Boston!

I questioned *another* donut place here, but I love that they have a new and unique perspective. Mochi has a nice chew, and I loved that each bite was a perfect chewy / icing "crunch" bite. Nice flavor of the ube. The nature of the donut is 8 individual bites which is also great. After the initial surprise of the chew, I was more and more intrigued. I really liked my $4.25 donut, but 4/5 stars because I still prefer traditional donuts over the mochi. But light, chewy, slightly crunchy well done.

Finally Mochi has reached the Woo! Even tho Mochi is traditionally japanese in culture, this place puts a Vietnamese fusion splash on it. The mochi donuts are not as sweet as traditional ones. This really allows the toppings to shine. I normally find mochi donuts too sweet at times but these donuts are amazing! Best thing about Mochi Donuts is that u can break it up into smaller donuts and eat a little at a time or share with others. Flavors rotate all the time so make sure to check in for new flavors. The Vietnamese ice coffee with Ube foam is a great twist on a classic.

Right across from the Woo Public Market, Mochi Doh is a place that just opened up this summer. It's a small little shop that serves five unique flavors each week on rotation. I stopped by since I was in the area and decided to give it a shot to see how they manage to stand up to similar mochi donut brands in Boston/Allston. I'd say this place pretty much is average when thrown into the pool, but at $0.50-1 more than what you'd get in the city. I would say the higher prices here are for two reasons: (1) rent is absurd in the canal district; (2) they're the only place exclusively dedicated to selling mochi donuts. That being said, there's nothing spectacular about this location or it's donuts and falls fairly average if I'm covering locations that are dedicated to the mochi game. Will I be back if I specifically want mochi donuts? Yes. Do I think it's spectacular with above and beyond flavors that make me want to come back? Not really. Like I said, it's a niche item that's currently the only location in this area that does meet typical quality in Boston, but it's not above and beyond.

The boba is okay but obviously that's not as important as the mochi donuts. The mochi donuts are amazing! The best flavors are their blue Cookie Monster themed one and original one. The service is super friendly and the wait wasn't long at all. The atmosphere inside and outside the shop is also super cute, my favorite is how they painted giant mochi donuts on their building storefront. The storefront paintings also help make it super easy to find the shop which I appreciated.

Ordered Vietnamese coffee with Ube foam and one with vanilla ice cream. Drinks are $7.50 for one. Size is like a grande (Starbucks) so I think the drinks are way too expensive. They are way too much iced. Think maybe is instant Vietnamese coffee. It's ok nothing special. Ube didn't have a strong flavor and vanilla ice cream is a little better. My tongue and my lips turn purple after drinking the Ube coffee. Assuming there's tons of food coloring in the Ube foam. They only offered five different flavors for Mochi donuts. Original/glazed with an animal cracker/ chocolate Oreo with a gummy worm/ churro with cinnamon sugar/ fruity pebbles. It was hard to pick one because initially I was looking for Ube/ pandan/ matcha flavors. Anywho, I got three, churro, glazed one and chocolate oreo. Totally overpriced!! Each of them cost $5.50. Half a dozen is $30. But again, wasn't thrilled for their flavors that was being offered. Don't think I would go back. Donuts are just ok... Service was mehhhhh. Could have been friendlier.

Plain, Churro, Biscoff, Fruity Pebbles, and Cookies & Creams.

I ordered half a dozen but they didn't have much of a variety. All of the Mochi Donuts were soft and chewy. The churro mochi donut was my favorite. The other flavors didn't stand out much to me. Service was okay. I was in and out. I felt a bit rushed even though I had been the only one there at the time. The exterior is pretty cool with some nice artwork. The interior is basic. There is no seating. It's really just a grab and go place. It was a nice place to try but not a place I would frequent.

Light and airy Mochi donuts, love how they do rotating flavors. Local area, family run. No seating area though.
