This, of course, is inconvenient, but, still, it's not why I am complaining. The minute I walked in the shop, the repairman's demeanor was agitated and weird. His smile was forced barely concealing his irritation. He complained that my VMs were full and that I hadn't kept up with my emails. Fair. He explained that he hadn't been able to get through. My bad. I guess. That wasn't the problem. I called them shortly after dropping the computer off. I gave them the go ahead to do the repairs at whatever the cost. I expected them to be done. It's OK. I was ready to pay for the parts and get it done. He acted really irritated at me. All I did was express that I would have wanted him to tell me that I needed to pay for the parts before the repairs could be done. Why could he not have told me when I dropped off the machine? Or when I called the shop and authorized the repairs? I was speaking in a calm tone just legitimately telling him that I had thought that I had authorized the repairs over the phone. He said something about how I needed to pay for the parts first. I said fine, but I have somewhere to be. I had authorized the repairs over the phone. The guy was so fidgety and his anger was apparent behind his false smile. Why does someone have to be so angry at someone who is about to hand him $500? At least? And that wasn't the problem. The guy is one of those sensitive types who is sensitive about his own feelings and not about the feelings of others. Sensitive guy, amiright? He was so tense and needlessly. Nerd. I just wanted to pay for the repairs and get my computer back. He was worried that I might abandon the computer without the repairs. I actually showed up with a credit card willing to pay for the repairs or for the parts, so his suspicion that I would have abandoned the computer was immediately proven false. He became really angry, and I only spoke in calm tones while I watched this dude just approach me searing with rage. He just handed my computer back to me with a refusal to fix it just because I was calmly stating my case. Absolute Sexism.

Went to the store to pick it up was told it wasn't there, asked for a follow up call which never came. Called again, discovered the ownership had changed and this is now Tossi's Custom Jewelry (not able to locate on Yelp). After several conversations with her, I was told my item was ready. Went there to pick it up, the ring had not been polished or sized as requested. She told me if I would give them another chance she would resize it at no charge to make things right realizing that this had been a disaster. I agreed stating as long as it was not going take months. I finally reached out this month (November) as I had not heard anything. I received a call back saying that it was ready and that they had called and emailed me a month ago, neither of which I received. Yesterday I drove the hour and a half it takes me to get there (I also moved during this process) and discovered the door was locked however she was there doing some work and reluctantly let me in, seemed put out to have to open the safe and then said the ring had been resized but she would now have to charge me for that - "I mean I know she was supposed to do that and didn't but.." is what she said to me. She got on her computer and said "oh, I guess this was set up as no charge so whatever I guess". My response was, "that is what you said". I left and will never return. If not for the interaction I had yesterday, I would not have left a review since she had agreed to make it right, however yesterday's experience changed my mind.

Also, there were some discrepancies between the quality of the item and what I later learned. Prior due diligence is important before purchasing something at this store. Finally, all the warning signs about their display cases are phony. I accidentally touched the surface of one and nothing happened. Reading the manager's response to their negative reviews makes it obvious he spends more time refuting the reviews and shaming the reviewer rather apologizing for his behaviour.
