Service is exceedingly slow. Took about 35 minutes for 2 coffees and a 3 piece beignet. The beignets are good but come with half a pound of powdered sugar there was about 3/4 of an inch of powdered sugar on the bottom of the bag. This was on Mardi Gras so you would think there would be reinforcements. Would not go again. read more

Mo'Bay Beignet - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mobile, Alabama

Y'all!!! I am so in love with this place!!! And as far as my diet goes...Friday night is the weekend, right? Btw, thank you Mo'Bay for being open late on Friday night!!! (Till 11!!!) Twice already I've been out with my hubby and wanted to go here after dinner but you were closed! (Insert sad faced emoji here) So now if only you can stay open later on other nights??? Pretty please??? And who ever thought of making a sauce to go with beignets? I am so glad they did!!! We couldn't decide which was best, the cinnamon or buttercream...I'm leaning towards the buttercream, though. Amazingness!!! We will be back! read more

Mo'Bay Beignet - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mobile, Alabama

Worst beignets ever. They have almost no flavor. Coffee was awful and the girl working the kitchen had a look on her face like someone just killed her dog. Awful food, service and ambiance read more

We needed a little pick me up of sweet goodness & caffeine after lunch & ended up at @mobaybeignetco. Ordered the 12 piece beignets (they only have 2 options - 3 or 12... could have done 2 orders of 3 now that I think about it!!! ) & a cafe au lait. Along with some buttercream caramel & cinnamon caramel for dipping... Little did I know these things were mega size! We were surprised at their portions!!! I could instantly feel my soul dance around in happiness (or was that my heart slowing down with all the sugar intake?!?!? ‍). Either way these were absolute heaven in rectangular deep fried dough form!!! Haven't broken the rules like this in a long time!!! But so well worth it - all things considered! read more

Y'all, I developed a special love for small businesses when I moved to Mobile, and this is why! This is everything Mobile needed and more. Jaclyn opened the cutest location with the most phenomenal beignets you could ever ask for. Probably one of the best beignets I've ever had, they are the perfect amount of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They literally melt in your mouth. She also sells a couple syrups to dip theses pieces of heaven in, and I can say that it just puts it over the top. We tried the buttercream syrup and it was perfect. You have a few beverage choices: glass bottled cokes, coffee, and a cafe au lait that is ahh mazing. Compliments the beignets perfectly! Her space itself is a super cute, open, lots of seating, great soundtrack in the background; just the perfect atmosphere. With such a great attitude and awesome staff, I can see this place being quite the hit. Go give it a try!! read more

Great beignets! Easy to order! Nice place in town! Great treat for the family any time but we sure enjoy it on Sundays after church.

We just moved to the area and this is within walking distance to our home. I was so thrilled because I've not had a beignet since NOLA in 2019 and my husband has never had any. I loved the openness of the Mo'Bay and the staff was very nice. Definitely can't wait to go back again and when my friends visit, so I can bring them there. Husband loved it! read more

Mo'Bay Beignet - Beignets!!! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mobile, Alabama

Wonderful experience. They are located in a quaint building with indoor and some outdoor seating. Very simple. The beignets were much bigger than we expected so as we never tried them before we ordered 12! Way too much for three people. One per person or two at the most would be recommended. The dipping sauces were excellent. We liked the cinnamon the best then buttercream. The lemon was OK. We are "heavy dippers" so I suggest one sauce for every 1-2 beignets. We learned the hard way. They are messy with lots of powdered sugar. Use a napkin on the table to catch the fall off!! Use the general sink in the back when done. read more

The place was cutely decorated and their coffee was good. The beignets were very fresh and tasty. They were a good size, too. The service was great! I would go there again. read more

Mo' Bay Has to be one of my favorite late night Quick stops for a sweet treat. I will say be prepared, because powder sugar will fall all over you if you're a messy eater, all jokes aside I really do enjoy this place. I love what this place does for the community and I love how they're just starting to open new locations. The service here is phenomenal, they cook your beignets as soon as you placed the order so they're fresh. I would recommend getting the cinnamon butter to put with your beignets to make them even better. read more

This place does one thing and does it really well: delicious beignets! My husband and I were recently lucky enough to stay within walking distance of this place in downtown Mobile. Beignets are great! A basket of 4 is plenty for 2 people. Inside is cute. Coffee and specialty drinks just add to the experience.

Fresh and hot. Guy that took my order was very helpful. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy.

When people started telling me that the beignets are better than New Orleans, being the New Orleans lover that I am, I was highly suspicious. But late one evening after a show at the Saenger, a friend & I decided to pop in. The atmosphere is farmhouse cozy with a touch of modern. A little loud for my liking but it was also on the weekend. I don't particularly love places where you stand in line & wait on yourself but since it's just dessert, it's doable. When I sat down to take my first bite, my mouth was in awe. I began to drool a little just out of the corner of my mouth. My tastebuds couldn't believe it. Could it be that this was REALLY a better beignet than Cafe Du Monde? Blasphemy! It's not possible. But Mobilians, it has finally happened. We started Mardi Gras, New Orleans made it better. New Orleans popularized the beignet & now Mobile has made it better. read more

Had a wicked craving for beignets and was told this was the place to go. Was on our way to Memphis and have no regrets in making this stopover. When I saw the puppy beignets at the door I knew these guys were going to be the bomb. I was right, the beignets were hot, crispy, light and generously dusted with powdered sugar. They offer a variety of toppings but I wanted to taste these heavenly clouds on its own. Wonder if I can talk the hubby on another stopover on the way back home? read more

We got the 3 beignets with cinnamon syrup & praline iced coffee sweetened with almond milk! First of all, this is not a coffee shop despite what yelp has it categorized as. There are very limited coffee options. With that being said: the coffee was good! This is really just a beignet spot. The beignets were super good - however, the cinnamon syrup is necessary. They would not have been half as good without it. Service was decent, but staff was young and somewhat unprofessional (nothing bad they just seemed very flustered and unorganized!). read more

Great beignets with a bit of a wait. We stopped here both because they open earlier than most coffee shops in the area but also because beignets. While there we ordered three beignets and one iced chicory coffee. In total we waited almost 25 min (there was an issue that I doubt is common). It was a little frustrating to wait so long on only a few items but when we got it we discovered she'd thrown in an extra beignet. Honestly it was all so tasty it really did make up for it. Also that coffee was so good, like so good. Would come back and take the newspaper as a just-in-case next time. read more

Must visit if passing through Mobile. The beignet's were delicious and the staff was extremely friendly. Everyone working had a smile on their face, and helped to deliver a great product. I loved that there was a hand washing stand in the main area of the restaurant. Makes for an easy clean up when you get sticky hands. I was impressed with the different syrups that were offered to dip your beignets in. The seasonal flavor currently being offered was gingerbread, and I also tried the cinnamon. The cinnamon syrup was my favorite of the two. I will definitely return on my next visit in town. I hope fruit flavored syrups are offered in the future. read more

This is an amazing place serving up the beignets all day long. I love the Christian vibe exuding a spirit of peace over the place. Beignets are served hot and fresh all day long. It was quite an impressive experience to say the least, and the beignets were the highlight of the experience. The beignets were served piping hot, and we ate them while they were piping hot.
