This place is amazing! Stop in for a quick sandwich or something sweet! I come here all the time and specifically for my bday! I worship their German chocolate cake!! The ladies are always so helpful and amazing service. The shop itself is so cute, check out the pictures and come in here! Don't miss it!
Do not let the dark tinted windows lead you to think they are closed. The young gentleman, Nathaniel who helped us was eagar to help us and was very friendly. Worth noting, when it came time to pay that dreaded tip for counter service, the norm created after covid. To his credit, he immediatly stated when it came up on the screen, that is totally optional and at your discretion. Well Nathaniel, you earned a tip by stating that and the great service you provided, he earned it. Ok, so I had the italian chocolate Gelato, she ordered some delectible chocolate bites. Sooo tasty, we will likely stop in regularly. I mean who doesnt love chocolates.
Chef Jules and the staff at Fairhope Chocolate did not disappoint. The wine pairings and desserts were delicious. I love how Chef Jules explained each course and wine. The cafe is absolutely gorgeous. Much bigger in person and it has a little something for everyone. From the house made gelato to the handmade angel biscuits, your sure to find some goodies for the entire office or family. I tried the Passion Fruit Gelato and it was delicious. I had to take some home. It was so much that my eyes began to exceed my limits. I also love that Fairhope chocolate offered vegan chocolates. I can't wait to return to try other treats.
If heaven had a taste, it would be found at Fairhope Chocolate. How did I not know about this place? I was invited to a private event here, and I am so glad I accepted the invite. Let's start with the staff. Very knowledgeable about chocolates and wines (yeah, they serve wine, too). We learned about gelato, pastry doughs, types of chocolates, and wines. They were a wealth of information that made the tasting experience much more rich. Now, the gelato. Let me just tell you that you need to try them. There are flavors to fit everyone-from fruity and fun to bold and daring. My favorite was the burnt caramel & sea salt. It's definitely a must try. Now, the pastries. They have it covered from breakfast to dessert. The chocolate croissants are fluffy and buttery. Not too sweet, either. They have a chocolate and shortbread cookie that is to die for. The texture is a little crunch and a little chewy. They got it right. Finally, the chocolates. I had a dark chocolate truffle. Epic. Creamy, rich, and not too sweet. They had Belgian and American chocolates plus fudge. My favorite part was how the owner suggested the perfect wines to have with these decadent treats. If you are looking for a date night idea or a girl's night idea or if your family just has a sweet tooth, Fairhope Chocolate is your spot. Oh, did I mention They have caramel apple making classes? Whaaaaaaat? I look forward to many more trips here. Do yourself a favor and visit them. Try everything, and thank me later.
What can I say. The items I purchased were fantastic. I was on a particular mission to get certain items. Lady behind the counter gave me super service and helped me find exactly what I was needing. The choices of chocolates and coffees is extensive, along with many kinds of breads and pastries. Highly recommend visiting here for really great sweets.
Upscale chocolate shop with gelato, gift items, wine, beer and also serves lunch and some breakfast items. Don't miss this specialty shop in downtown Fairhope.
We absolutely love this bakery/chocolate shop. The chocolate croissant was the pièce de résistance. It's chocolaty and buttery goodness made our trip to Fairhope all the much more memorable. Thank you, Chef Jule, for being a true master of your craft. Your dedication brought smiles to our faces.
Service is absolutely lack luster, there is none. The employees are better off working at the United Post Office versus here. After waiting almost 8 minutes to place my order on 03/29 around 5ish the two girls working were absolutely a charm, I'm being sarcastic when I say that. I attempted to order a drip coffee per the menu board. I was told they don't do it anymore, and that they only do Americano's only. Instead of charging me for the drip coffee they charged me the Americano price. This would've been fine had the coffee espresso not taste bitter and burnt. When I tried to let them know they told me it is what it is. So not only was the service awful, so was the overpriced coffee. I've had better coffee using a Keurig. I would honestly stay away from this overpriced chocolate shop. Yes I tried to fix it directly with the shop and basically was given the hand by the two female employees. Would I recommend this place, ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH IT!!! By the way don't let the cool vibe lure you in., unless you thrive for crappy service.
Walking around Fairhope shopping and want to take a break? This is a nice place to stop and relax while enjoying a tasty chocolate treat, or two, with a cup of coffee. You'll find a great selection of chocolate candy. The variety of chocolates to choose from makes this visit an enjoyable adventure of decision making!
This is the cutest little chocolate shop in Bama and I happily spent way too many of my dollars here. While on vacation in Fairhope I visited once for myself and again for gifts for my friends back home. I choose lemon and orange bon bons and a turtle and so enjoyed them while walking around the French Quarter. Absolutely DECADENT. I soon got busy browsing the book store and lost track of time as I tend to do when surrounded by books so I didn't think of going back for gifts till I got back to my hotel. The very next morning I was back and loaded up on goodies for my loved ones. This is not your average chocolate. Neuhas is imported from Belgium and the goodies they make in house from scratch are heads above any candy you've ever tasted Keep in mind Fairhope Chocolate is not a bargain store but it is so worth it! I will be back and you should go too. You're welcome.
This is a beautiful place, inside and out, in downtown FAIRHOPE, serving delicious pastries, candies, espresso, and much more.

WOW! So glad I stopped here while in Fairhope! Robin was incredibly friendly and knowledgable about the chocolates and gelato. I sampled the Sour Cherry gelato which was out of this world and creamy. If you love cherries, you'll have to try it. I also got some in-house made chocolates that look fantastic and I can't wait to try them. The bakery is decorated nicely with unique, fun furniture. read more

I ended up stumbling in while exploring downtown. I browsed and considered allll of the delicious options they had in their cozy little store and ended up chatting with the employees for a few minutes, they were super nice!!! In the end I bought an old fashioned molasses cookie and a dark chocolate dipped pretzel, both were absolutely delicious!!! As for ambience, it's the perfect place to sit down and have a treat!!! (I also sampled some ice cream, the salted caramel is delicious!) read more

Very nice clean and efficient shop. Customer service terrific. We got cinnamon rolls and vanilla bean and chocolate gelato so good. The cinnamon rolls were soft and not overly sweet and the frosting on them had just a hint of lemon...delicious! read more

Saint Vache Y'all! We were strolling through Fairhope and decided to venture through the quaint little Fairhope French Quarter. It's a beautiful little "square" surrounded by buildings that you don't see from the street. That's how we happened upon The Frenchman's Corner of Fairhope. It's off the patio by the fountain. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a chocolate chef who was more than happy to explain to us what sets their chocolate apart from other chocolate. First, they are one of only three companies in the United States authorized to make and distribute Neuhaus Chocolate. The owner/chef had to travel to Europe to learn to make it at the Neuhaus company. It's rich and creamy Belgium chocolate, and it's devine. Every bite you take is like dying and going to chocolate heaven. It will totally spoil your taste buds! You will never want to eat a Hershey bar again. They have a few other chocolates too, which I'm sure are all exquisite. Some of the chocolates are imported, and many are made there in the shop. Neuhaus is the absolute best chocolate you'll ever taste. We bought two turtles that were out of this world, and made with local pecans grown in Fairhope. They were $7 for both. We also sampled a couple of pralines made there in the shop. The chef showed us a few candy apples they make and sell for $20. They give small group classes at the shop on how to make the apples. How much fun would that be for a little girl's birthday party or a big girl's night out?! Another thing that caught my attention was the Neuhaus Christmas Advent Calendars too. What a great gift idea! If you're in the area, I would definitely stop by and check this place out! If you're in the doghouse, it's worth driving at least 50 miles to get here. Seriously, remember this place on birthdays, Christmas, Valentine's Day, or any other special occasion, but that doesn't mean you can't just pop in on a Wednesday, just because. You're welcome! read more
