This is A really cute little ice cream shop that serves bluebell ice cream. They also serve coffee which is smart, for those days it's too cold to order ice cream! They hire some cute chipper teenagers which hearkens back to the soda jerks of the 50s. I think the best part honestly is the ambiance. It's a quaint little place that hearkens back to the good old days when ice cream parlors were actually parlors. They have indoor and outdoor seating and this is on de la mere avenue in fairhope which is perfect for people watching. They also have a public restroom. I visited this small family owned and operated ice cream shop located in downtown Fairhope while I was down here for Thanksgiving! The shop is located off of De La Mare Avenue on the left side of the road right next to CK Collections Men's store. I ordered their signature drink, the Fairhope Float which was recommended by the owner; Chris! The Fairhope Float is their own unique twist on the classic Coke or Root Beer float. It is made with iced mochaccino, vanilla yogurt ice cream, whipped cream and then topped with your choice of chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon or nutmeg powder. Can I get a, "YUUUUUMYYYY!!!" The Float has a nice smooth creamy coffee flavor with a hint of chocolate. I was immediately sold when I saw coffee and ice cream in the drink description! The price tag on this bad boy is $5.34 (includes tax). I can't wait to visit Fairhope again and get my hands on another Fairhope Float.I highly recommend checking out Mr Gene's Beans shop and trying this sweet treat; especially if you are visiting Fairhope from out of town! read more
