Brief: Food was great! The service was even better. Most of the staff was very upbeat and attentive. For a diner, this place greatly exceeded my expectations. We got: Ribeye, Southwestern Stir Fry, and Santa Fe Platter. I got a side of Green Chili which was pretty good since I come from San Diego. Everything we got was cooked very well. We got a Rocky Road Shake and Root Beer Float, and a banana split which was pretty filling but delicious. Our server, Alia was super helpful and nice. Genuine A+ service from her. I saw her give the check to another table beside us. They were a party of two in a table sized for 6 people. The guests asked if they should leave right away seeing the line of people waiting. She immediately told them no, that there was no rush. Besides, she jumped right away at another table that finished on their own to flip it, helping the busser. Service right there! The wait for our table was about 15 minutes in the middle of rush hour dinner time but they get the tables flipped pretty quickly. My rating depends on the meal you're having. If you're here for breakfast, I'd say this is a solid 4-star location. If you're having lunch or dinner, it drops to the 3-star rating I've assigned this review. Breakfast is traditional diner fare with no surprises. Eggs, toast, pancakes, etc are available in whichever combination suits your need. The morning staff earns their 4-star rating because their service is QUICK (which is critical when you're in a hurry) and everything comes out exactly as it should. If you're a fan of traditional breakfast like me, this is a great place to eat. Lunch and dinner, on the other hand, are decidedly more ho-hum. You are again offered traditional diner choices with no real surprises... which kinda pales compared to many other more interesting choices in town. If an average diner meal sounds appetizing, then by all means come on in. If you're looking for a bit more adventure or something local and/or unique, skip the Diner and head elsewhere. read more

This is a classic diner in the heart of Moab Utah. It was very busy when I ate there, even at 5 in the afternoon (although it was Saturday). Took a while to get acknowledged, but after I ordered, the food appeared in five minutes tops. I liked the old diner feel of the place, even though it looked like it needed a good sweeping. I ordered the green chili cheeseburger (comes with their signature spicy sauce). My burger would have been mediocre, except for that wonderful sauce! My lips are still burning. My breakdown: 4 stars - atmosphere 5 stars - wait staff 5 stars - location 3 stars - food quality 4 stars - food flavor Summary: For a diner, it was a good overall experience. They had some interesting twists on typical diner food. Someone ordered biscuits smothered in gravy, others had milkshakes, all of which looked delicious. I could not even customize an omelet because the waitress said they are pre-made frozen packs of omelets. The taste confirmed that. Edible, but not enjoyable. It is not worth the pricing. Not exactly the best food you'll ever have, but its a darling restaurant with great milk shakes and pretty tasty fries. After a 10 mile hike, I'm not sure you really want much else. I ordered the ham and cheese and it was warm, well made and filling. The hubby ordered their steak special, and to my HUGE surprise it was not the cheapest cut of meat at the grocery store. It was actually well-cooked and tender. Of course we ordered a chocolate/raspberry shake to go with our meals and it was yummy. Be careful of the line if you're here during a busy tourist season. The line will be out the door. That being said, it moved pretty quickly. The service was fast...man their staff busted a** all night to provide the best service possible.
