    Chicken Shawarma Platter
    Anna D.

Quick and tasty and super reasonably priced. This place is take out only but they have a few tables outside in nicer weather. We wish there were a little more veggies and a little less white sauce on the chicken. The baklava was also not our favorite style. Overall, good halal cart style food.

I did a takeaway order from Mo Grill for a kofta shish kabab platter, mint lemonade, and baklava. The kofta shish kabab platter was such a great portion! The meat was tender, well spiced, and soft. The rice was plentiful. It was also served with two warm pieces of pita and a side salad. I got the white and red sauces on the side instead of on top. I used it for dipping and absolutely loved it. I also got a mint lemonade and this was incredible! It was sweet with just the right amount of tanginess. I loved the subtle mint flavor as well. For desert, I ordered a baklava. This was the only part of my meal I was a little disappointed by. The taste of the baklava was good but it was a bit soggy. I prefer my baklavas to my flaky and crispy. All in all, I loved Mo grill. The staff had the food ready exactly when they stated and they were incredibly kind. Make sure to check out this locally owned business!

Space: Indoor space was very small. There's outdoor seating but very limited. Food: love the platter, lots of meat and very flavorful We tried the Koshari and would probably not order it next day! Would go back for their platters! Service: staff was very friendly and food was fresh off the grill (about 10 minute wait)

This food takes me back to my Brooklyn days and I'm soooo grateful. I ordered two meat combo plates and falafel. It ran me about $26. They accept cards, so I was tempted to buy the entire menu. LOL Anyway, the food here is GOOD. The meat combo platter is such a generous serving and tastes incredible. I highly recommend getting extra white sauce, too. Anyway, the food was fresh and delicious. The meat was pretty high-quality, too - no weird meat cuts like some places. In addition to incredible food, the service here was *chef's kiss*. I didn't catch his name (maybe Mo?), but the guy running the place was soooo nice. I placed my order over the phone ahead of time and he was so nice the entire time. Then, when I picked it up, he was very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed (utensils, sauce, etc.). I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you're looking for good Halal food.

Better than Halal Guys. Already comes with white sauce standard so no need to add for an extra dollar on DD unless you want extra

Pretty homey feel when you walk into the store. There was a cute selfie wall when you walk to the register. The menu is pretty extensive. I debated getting a drink but was so full from lunch that I got a box of the ube crinkle instead. My husband did order an ube shake for him and my son, so the three of us shared. First I noticed that people don't come here for one drink- people leave with 4-5! Everything looked so good coming out that I couldn't wait to try my husband's shake. Staff was friendly and place was clean! They did have those floor fans going on which I assume was to try the wet footprints from the melting snow outside, so I think that made the restaurant louder the it is. The ube shake was delicious! It was a little hard to drink at first because it was made pretty icy. I'd prefer mine to be a little smoother, but not a huge thing since it'll just melt. My 5 year old LOVED the "ice cream". He drank a good amount which was shocking. I had the ube crinkle when I got home and it was SO good. It was the perfect softness and it wasn't overly powered on top. I ended up eating a second one, which I normally would never do but I couldn't help myself! It wasn't overly sweet or coated with powder and the softness just made it that much better. Would I come back? I would if I happen to be in the area, I will definitely stop by to try the rest of their cakes/drinks!

Everything here is lovingly crafted by Kathy, the owner, who makes items from scratch, including their ice cream. You can truly taste the difference: fresh ube, no artificial flavors. Just pure goodness. Kathy and her husband take great pride in their Filipino menu, offering a variety of delightful treats centered around the beloved purple yam. Now, you might be wondering, what exactly is ube, and why is it so popular? Contrary to popular belief, ube isn't a fruit. It's actually a purple sweet potato that's highly sought after in the Philippines. If you love taro, you'll love ube even more. It's a staple in many Filipino desserts and dishes, known for its rich flavor and vibrant color. If you're in search of delectable drinks and cookies, this is your spot. Their signature ube drinks range from floats and lattes to coffees, milk teas, and even ice cream. All with delicious bits of real ube in every sip. Not in the mood for ube? No problem. They offer a wide variety of options, including their Pinoy series, pandan drinks, Milo drinks, matcha, cold brews, and more. And I have to mention, they now serve Vietnamese coffee, Filipino-style. It's pure heaven in a 16 oz cup. The shop itself has great lighting, perfect for IG, Yelp photos, or even vlogging. Just note that seating is very limited.

It's a short walk away, and they are now in Epic Cookies' old location. This new space is bigger and more front and center. A lot of people did not realize that their old location was even there on Division Street, until I took them there. They just opened this location about three days ago, so it was pretty busy when I visited today, and even Karin and her husband were in there helping out! Both very kind people! I came in for my favorite "Death by Chocolate" cupcake and was excited to try two new flavors, Coconut Guava and Lemon Raspberry. I usually check their website ahead of time to see what seasonal cupcakes they have before visiting, I saw those and rush over here. P.s. please bring back the Versailles Cupcake from Summer '25! That raspberry filling is heaven sent, and part of the reason why I came by to try the Lemon raspberry flavor! Even with the rush, the staff was just as friendly as always. I really love it here and always bring my family and friends when they are in town! I'll definitely miss the charm of the old location, but I'm excited for them in this new space and hope that it works out well for them!

I initially thought it was going to be a mango filling, but that was not the case. Regardless, it was pleasant and balanced well with the chocolate. Kokoleka Dark 55% Single Origin Banana Ganache Truffle ($1.20) - Again, I thought this was going to be filled with a banana filling, but it was not. This was probably my favorite.
