I wanted to like this gym so bad, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I was looking for a new gym. I was losing motivation at my current gym and wanted to switch things up. I've tried Crossfit before and loved how I felt after every work out so I figured to try it full time. I was looking for a box that was locally owned, knowledgeable coaches, with a good location. That's when I found CrossFit Kuleana. I was contacted by the owner who as very professional and provided me answers to all of my questions. I was invited to come to a class and I brought my boyfriend a long with me. The class itself was great. Scaffolded to allow people with different skill set to be included. I loved it! We were hooked and wanted another class, but it was difficult to find a class that fit our needs and schedule. We were told by the girl working the front desk she would call us about another class (as we told her we wanted to join, but needed to find a schedule), that was February 2017 -- It's April now and still no call back. I would like to believe she is still trying to look for a class that fits our schedule and needs, but let's be real... I really wanted this to work out, but things fell through. Don't get me wrong, this seems like a great CrossFit Box. I just wished someone would've gotten back to me about another class or perhaps a membership, oh well. read more

Did a week of drop in classes while on vacation with family. Coaches were very friendly and knowledgeable. Unique indoor/outdoor workout space allowed us to workout while enjoying the warm weather, though weather has taken a toll on some of the equipment. Clean facility and well organized. Would definitely drop in here again next time in Oahu. read more

I dropped in on two classes while visiting. Everything about it was great. Paul (the manager I believe) was quick to respond and was very welcoming & helpful from the get go. Both days Ethan was the coach. He was a great coach who genuinely cared about you having the fundamentals and was quick to help and give you words of encouragement during the tough (but manageable) WODs. If I return to the island I'd drop in in a second. If I lived here I'd join in a second. Everyone in the class was super supportive also. Thanks paul and Ethan read more

I wish this place was closer cause when a friend and I had the wonderful opportunity to experience one of their GNO it was amazing!! The women who run this was kick a$$ . They made you feel you can do anything. This evening was a combination of exercise, clothes swapping, shopping and wine!! Since I at the moment reside on the Westside of Oahu this place is a stretch for me to make their classes. I hope when we move closer I can finally commit to this. The ambiance is half outdoors and covered. The inspiration and motivation is great. Lets say I can see myself strive here. So kudos to them for letting some of us experience this great place to workout. Parking can be tricky but in the evening you can park and pay at First Hawaiian since it is right next to it. read more

Marcus, Noah, Greta, Marisa, Rebecca and Jeremy are all very welcoming, motivating and Knowledgable. I feel right at home here and can't wait to get out of work and get to the box as soon as possible. They will work with your level and ability. It's a safe yet really fun environment. Best gym! They are so welcoming, supportive and it's always a good vibe. They treat you like family, and everyone who works there is happy to be there and are attentive to your workout- ensuring you have good form and giving you constructive feedback to improve. Music is great! The outdoor feel is the best, it feels so good to workout with natural light and fresh air. The people that go there are regulars and they always have visitors from all over the world, great place to make connections and meet new friends. Workouts are perfect, you really feel great after, exhausted but great! The owners Marcus and Dara really care for their people and space, it's clean and well organized and stocked with everything you need. They have filtered cold water, lockers, fridge, towels, clean bathroom. The coaches are fun and engaging! read more

Traveling from CFEB box in Oakland Ca I wanted to get a workout in. Went to CF Kuleana and had a great experience. The other members in the class were super chill and easy-going. Rebecca the instructor was really big into technique and was very easy to work with! Tons of warm up which I like. I also love that the gym is outside. If you're traveling where you live locally and are looking for a box that isn't hard core CrossFit but is for normal people who just like to workout and have fun, this is the spot!! read more

I love this place! The coaches truly make you feel at home and work with you no matter where you're at in your fitness journey. I have finally found excitement in working out thanks to CrossFit Kuleana! read more

Fantastic and friendly Crossfit to drop into. Street parking was easy and there were a ton of class times to choose from. We felt right at home and decided to sign up for three drop ins. I highly recommend if your looking for your Crossfit fix that you hit up this place! read more

This was my best experience by far going to a new gym. I grew up around gyms and the environment here was by far the best one I've experienced to date. The coaches were consistently helping me push myself and making sure that I was doing each exercise correctly to avoid injury. The other members were very friendly and welcoming even on my first day. I was greeted by multiple members before I even began talking to the coaches about the available workouts and membership opportunities, however the attention from staff was very quick and friendly! read more

CrossFit Destination ROCKS!!! I stumbled upon this group during my short stay(5 weeks) on Oahu. Noah and Greta are the owners/coaches and they are superb motivators as are the members. It really is a tribe/family vibe. They really make you want it! Definitely gave me a much needed kick in the ass! Now that I'm back on the mainland I'm using the momentum I got from the CrossFit Destination family and I found another cross fit club, but I really do miss everyone from CFD. I just don't think you can replicate that type of genuine enthusiasm and care that Noah and Greta showed. If you're already on Oahu or make it out for vacation and you want a life changing experience, or for those of you who are already fitness veterans, go check them out you will not be disappointed. Great gym and group of people. Quite accommodating and very organized. I needed to do 18.2 but was in Honolulu for business. Made contact via web page, a couple of emails, a waiver sign off, a warm up and I was suffering thru 18.2 read more

My husband and I LOVE this box!! The trainers are AMAZING and the workouts kick your ass! I have never been a gym girl... Honestly I didn't even own a sports bra before joining Crossfit Kuleana but after giving birth to my daughter I knew I needed to make a lifestyle change for the better. The trainers at Crossfit Kuleana are so down to earth and real. I'm never worried about looking like a hot mess because even when I'm lost someone guides me through the routine. Crossfit Kuleana is all about community and family. I needed a place that I could bring my daughter (1 years old) and from day one she was welcomed with open arms. The owners let us leave our pack and play in the back area and everyone plays with and comforts my daughter when she gets fussy. Noah, Greta, Mar, Rebecca and Marcus are all INCREDIBLE trainers and EXTREMELY knowledgeable in fitness, nutrition and living a healthy lifestyle. Each one of them has taken the time to work 1:1 with me to improve my movements and enhance my form. I am SO blessed to have stumbled on this box as my first gym. For me (and my family), Crossfit Kuleana has transformed the way I look at working out and staying healthy. After having my daughter I needed a lifestyle transformation and Crossfit Kuleana helped make that transition natural. I wanted to be a role model for my daughter. Working out has always been a chore for me. I never thought I would wake up CRAVING the WOD. I'm HOOKED!! 100% HOOKED!! Everyday I'm stronger, faster and healthier. I highly recommend Crossfit Kuleana to anyone looking to get in shape, meet killer people and/or find solid roots in the community. read more

I absolutely love this gym. The second my 6am flight landed in Honolulu, I looked for a box. Immediately I found Crossfit Kuleana and I'm so happy I did. I attended a Saturday morning WOD and felt at home right away. The coaches are intelligent, caring, and just kickass people. I've been to several gyms traveling and none give you the attention like Noah, Marcus, and Rebecca do. They know what they are talking about and they want to share it with you. Plus, this gym has a great mix of people. There's so many different levels of athletes, starting from the Elements class for beginners to Crossfitters that have been doing this for years. I felt right at home. If you're trying to find a gym for a drop-in, for a week, or to start to change your life, this is it. read more

Hands down best box on the island! This community is worth checking out. An easy walk if you're vacationing in Waikiki. My friends and I came for a drop in on the first day of our 10-day stay on the island. I am a box owner, avid traveler, and have dropped in to boxes all over the world. After being given the cold shoulder by another box close by, we decided to drop in last minute to Crossfit Kuleana, and I'm so glad we did! We were immediately greeted by members and coaches, and treated like family. Even though I dropped in at 6 different island boxes throughout my stay, I came back to Kuleana several times because it definitely had that gym home feeling. Noah, Gus, Chris & Mike were so helpful. I even got some tips which greatly improved my handstand walk that week! My favorite part was before each workout, the coach will circle up and ask everyone how they are feeling that day. This is a ritual I have taken back to my box in San Diego, and my members love it as much as I did. Thank you, Crossfit Kuleana for making us feel like we belonged! The community you have created is like no other! read more

I've been to quite a few Crossfit gyms since I started training, and they were all great places with nice people and a good vibe. And yet, none of them can keep up with Crossfit Kuleana! The location is great and so are the coaches. The programming is elaborate and helps people achieve their goals - no matter if it's a 400+lb squat, the very first pushup, losing a few pounds of fat, or just an overall improved quality of life. The people there are just wonderful, open minded and friendly and spend lots of time together in and outside of the gym, making Crossfit Kuleana a big family! Within just a few weeks of going there, Crossfit Kuleana has become my true happy place. As soon as I leave after a session, I am looking forward to coming back the next day for more! Come check it out, you won't regret it! read more

Great coaches and all you need to get a great workout in. Bonus cute mascot dogs as well to "help" with your workout.

I've been a member here for a little under a year when I first moved to Hawaii for school as an effort to meet new people and ultimately improve my PT scores. I can honesty say that joining this box was one of the best decisions I ever made. As a result of joining I did improve my PT scores as well as begin to love working out. This box is truly incredible the coaches are extremely knowledgeable in crossfit as well as nutrition. The coaches encourage, motivate, and ultimately strive to help you improve and persevere through each workout as well as life itself. They are devoted and wholeheartedly care about you and your goals and accomplishments. Through kuleana I've met new people and created honest friendships and sacred bonds. Before joining kuleana I had never done crossfit and now I can't picture my life without it. Love CF Kuleana! I've gone twice already since visiting from Vancouver, Canada & both experiences have been awesome! The coaches are great! The coaches at Crossfit Kuleana do a great job running their gym professionally. The systems that they have set in place that really provide a lot of value to the membership include: 1) class caps that are set to ensure that class sizes don't get too big - you sign up ahead of time with their app, 2) they maintain a consistent structure for every crossfit class (warm up, mobility, skill, WOD), and 3) they even do quarterly personal check-ins with each of their members to ensure that their members are feeling supported and making progress towards their personal goals. I feel safe and supported at every class I go to because CF Kuleana has all of these effective systems set in place.
