All of them include fitness classes they have: interval training, yoga, tennis, futsal and pickle ball. They have a locker room and shower facilities so you can use them, too. I liked the gym a lot because when I used the gym late morning and early afternoon and there were not many people using the gym. So I was able to use any equipment I wanted including a squat deck and a bench press. The gym is a little hard to find. It is on the third floor of Alohilani Resort. You need to get into the resort from Liliuokalani Ave. when you get into the lobby, in the middle, there is an elevator goes up to the third floor. You can follow fitness center signs, too. As the staffs of the center are so kind, you will definitely enjoy it! Hope you find a right gym while you are in Waikiki

Ayumi was very friendly and sweet when checking me in and even gave me some sandals for the shower

Ok here's the thing. I started going here right after Thanksgiving and managed to stay motivated…read morethrough the new year - due in large part to my awesome coach Mel and the lovely ladies of the 530 AM class! That's right - 530 AM! Believe it or not, it is NOT the earliest class - that honor goes to the 445 AM boot camp - but it's a great way to start off your day. Egan's is all about contributing to your success. There are supplements, protein snacks and drinks, and a bit of gear for sale. Parking is right on the premises at $1/hour. And there is ALWAYS parking! Everyone who works the desk greets you every time you walk in, and my coach requires a once-weekly weigh in. If you aren't trending toward your goal, she (or he) reaches out to you to talk about your variables and how you can change your trajectory. Several times a year there are also challenges to mix things up a bit. These guys are as invested as you are! Coaches are always available to you. And a weigh in isn't just a weigh in - it's a really cool overall body analysis that shows you how much water is in your system (and consequently, how much more you could have), how much of your weight is fat and how much is muscle. I know! Cool - AND it holds you accountable. The gym has an app that allows you to manage your payments and reserve a spot for classes. Membership is unlimited all access - you can go to any location at any time and take any class, multiple times a day. Yeah, people go multiple times a day! Classes are fun, but they are HIIT classes, so you do to until exhaustion. But like all fun and challenging things, you can't wait to do it again. Classes also seem to switch the instructors up as well as the workouts, so don't be concerned that you'll get bored because you won't! Even more awesome, during this COVID-19 time the gym has closed but instructors are offering any number of online classes via FB Live and Zoom so you can keep on keeping on! And they are just committed and motivating online as they were in person. I always thought I could just work out on my own and be fine. I liked doing that too. But classes appear to be something I really respond to. I like the accountability and the energy of having others participating with you. I honest to God thought I was going to pass out at my first workout. I quickly realized I was horribly dehydrated and underestimated the effects of a pre-workout protein bar and it never happened again. Egan's help you develop a real body awareness and focus, and helps you renew your commitment to your own success. If you're wondering whether you can make it through a workout, well, you're just going to have to try it. And I highly recommend that you do. You may just surprise yourself!

The gym is very clean, spacious and organized. All of the equipment is in excellent condition and clearly well-maintained. They use Eleiko bars and combo racks, which are competition grade and the gold standard for serious lifters. You can tell this space was built with intention. Parking was simple with designated spots for the gym and the location was easy to find even early in the morning. Overall, Ukiyo Hawai'i offers a premium training experience with everything you need for a great workout even if you are not a powerlifter. I would easily visit again next time.

This isn't the place if you're looking for AC or shiny new equipment--it's a little more rugged, sweaty, and all about getting stronger. The trainers are hands-down the best. They constantly correct your form, and somehow the tiniest adjustments make every exercise 10x harder (in the best way). I've been on a mission to grow my glutes, and I regularly leave with my butt twitching from pure muscle fatigue. If you're looking for fancy, this isn't it. If you're looking for results, this place delivers.

They check in when I'm slower than the group, know when I'm ready for heavier weight, push me to maximize my reps, and tweak my form so I don't mess up my knees and shoulders. I've been coming for 2yrs. I've lost 20+lbs and am buying replacement clothes in sizes I've not worn since college. I'm stronger, more flexible and agile with fewer body aches and pains which really helps my surfing and bike riding. I am the most physically active I've been in my life, and probably the fittest - I did nine pull-ups this week! I've become a little obsessed tracking muscle mass, bodyfat and weight improvements on the gym's InBody machine. Most importantly, the Parado team has helped me figure out how to work all this into a realistic Lifestyle. So it sticks. Like finding lean protein foods I actually want to eat, and committing to regular gym work-outs I actually look forward to. Without the guys I would completely LACK the discipline. They even help me not worry about my cheat meals/days. It's all working.

The family shower room is so gross I felt filthier after being in there than before I went in. There were old bandaids and used tissues on the floor and near the drains. It didn't look like it's been cleaned in years. Short of getting demolished and re-built, this Y has a lot of potential.
