Coach Jason is awesome! He is super welcoming, very knowledgeable, great sense of humor, friendly, and awesome at breaking down and explaining techniques and principles. He is very observant and goes above and beyond what most instructors do in terms of actively approaching individuals with helpful feedback, and is very patient with everyone. He's also hilarious and very laidback so he promotes a fun and welcoming environment. Him and his son Gage make sure everyone is taken care of and will pair higher belts with those that need help, and watch out for everyone so nobody gets hurt. We pay for one crazy faculty fee! For the gym to just stay nasty. Machines stay functional. But the restrooms and trash bins be overflowing. I don't see no staff cleaning at night, I left a clean paper towel crumpled up to see if they would remove it and it was still there next week. Men's bathroom smells like sweat, moisture, mold, piss and heat. Trash also always overflowing. Some Members no more respect too just trashing the place. Crazy kine cans and bottles everywhere. Feel like gotta work out in one Tyvek suit. If we paying for faculty fee, at least keep the place sanitized and clean. Come on UFC we know you guys gots the money. read more

Had my membership since they opened and the parking was the biggest obstacle for me not utilizing this gym. Thank God for the other gyms. This gym sucks for parking and the cleanliness of the gym also sucks. I'd love to see them clean up and build a parking garage for members only. I guess you have to be within walking distance of this place or uber it, because you'll be waiting forever to get a parking. The staff is great, but that's it! Every time I come out to visit, I get a week or month pass to come here. Since I'm on California time, I like that they are open 24 hours because I usually wake up at 3 am! On this last visit, they have done some moving around of the equipment and have new equipment as well. Everything is so bright and shiney and great to work out on! They still have the same great vibe and most of the members and staff are friendly. Definitely worth checking out. If you come early the parking lot is full, the meters don't start until 8 am. We only ended up working out here two days because wedding events took over, but those sessions were amazing. Both me and my boyfriend left saying we would absolutely come back. If you're in Honolulu and need a solid gym while traveling this one is 10/10. I'll definitely be back on my next trip. I just joined the gym a couple weeks ago. This gym is clean and it doesn't have the stinky gym smell..iykyk The gym has a lot of space. There are plenty of treadmills, stair masters, and elliptical machines. There are like 8-10 squat racks, which is amazing! The equipment is in great condition. I am working with a trainer. Kenna is awesome! Only con is that they don't have a lot of parking. I usually park about a block away. It's metered parking. I first signed up with Juan, who made the process of snagging a deal pretty simple. He held the offer past its expiration date, which I definitely appreciated since I don't like the feeling of rushing a decision to commit to a gym long-term. Yes, parking is brutal. But, the gym is always open, and they have deals that kind of entice you to commit to a long-term plan, which I think is a win-win for both parties. The gym itself is large, and it goes back pretty far. The depth of the gym makes it a bit of a stretch to walk to and from the entrance to the back, but with its high ceilings, I do appreciate that it doesn't feel too claustrophobic. They have pretty much every machine, free weight, and other equipment you'll need, so no complaints there. I'd just say it could use a tidy up a bit more frequently. They just got new equipment in the past month and it shows. I didn't feel like I'd been walking into an older gym despite it being around for some time. There's also no funk or smell to the gym, although sometimes they could run the AC a bit more often as it gets stuffy easily. My recommendation is to never go during rush hour. If you can go at a time where there's fewer people, DO THIS for the sake of parking and having access to the equipment you need. All things considered, it's convenient for anyone around the Kaka'ako area to walk to it, but parking can be a nightmare. I'd recommend parking a few streets over if you don't want to deal with it. read more

I purchased 48 personal training sessions at $4k on July 4th $80/each, had surgery twice with military drills and have 15 sessions left that expired on Jan 4th. I pursued to speak with the manager (Ren) told i could extended at the beginning of January. i asked if he was serious and he told me 50 / 50 serious/joking. Very unprofessional. Never been to a gym in my life, didn't know what to expect. I signed up for personal training to have someone walk me through the process and get me back in performance shape like I had in the past. Hunter has been the BEST trainer, making everything super easy, writing out a workout plan with explanations as to why we do each exercise, meal plan, and overall things to look out for to see the best results. In one month I've been able to see my front squat go to 185 (I was 150lbs going into this) which was far greater than I could imagine, especially from never having lifted weights in my life. I seriously recommended getting a training session with Hunter if you want real results. 4/5 stars only because the gym could be little cleaner. Go see Hunter. read more

Mmm. Great location in the heart of Kaka'ako. As usual this is a 24-hour gym available to its members and their guests. Parking available on the side of the building or else its metered within the next so many blocks. The location is set up weird as its very long. Lots of machine and useful equipment with a Kids club, octagon in the middle, and some food counters in the front. Bathrooms were semi clean. A few weren't operational, neither was the sauna room. No private areas to get dressed. I did appreciate the hair dryers provided. Not my favorite UFC location but it serves its purpose if you need it. read more

I would say the parking is kind of a nightmare which is what keeps me from coming to this gym regularly. It's kind of an awkward set up compared to the Mililani gym. Love this place. Can't beat the price for what this place offers. So many BJJ schools these days are way too expensive. UFC gym not only offers daily Jiujitsu classes, it always has striking classes, no gi, soana and more. It is a little sad to see most belt and stripe promotions take place at other schools but that's something that can be fixed really easily. I do not recommend this UFC location in Honolulu. The staff and some coaches are extremely rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. Multiple times I've felt intimidated and harassed while simply trying to use the facility. The environment feels hostile rather than supportive, which defeats the purpose of a gym for recovery and fitness. The facility also has issues with cleanliness, crowded or poorly maintained areas, and parking is limited. Management does not handle complaints effectively, so problems go unresolved. If you value a safe, respectful, and professional atmosphere, avoid this location. The sauna is filthy and broken wood and their shower walls and floors are filled with scum and grit. They need to do something drastic ASAP. Canceled my membership twice with these guys in different years. Once in 2023 once in 2025. And every time I canceled they would tell me blah blah ok your set for cancellation and they'd tell me my last day to workout in the gym etc. EVery time I ask after I cancel ok so there are no more payments will be taken out right ? Facility is like any other gym. It's well kept but their app that they advertise when you first sign up really needs work. So does corporate. I've asked and called for 2 weeks to change my payment to another card because no one had told me that the app is basically useless in changing payment methods so they charged the wrong card. I had some bills to pay but had to rotate my finances a little because I had to pay their promo membership which is a steal but still quite expensive. I don't think it's the front staffs fault. They said corporate is the one that handles it but corporate is absolutely lacking in solving this. Im not even saying I won't pay. I just wanted a different card to be charged. I like the location and convenience of the gym as well as the workout equipment, but I would agree with some of the other reviews that their business practices when it comes to customer service/memberships isn't great, and I feel like they're shady with their pricing. I originally called because I saw online that through HMSA 365 benefits you can get a discounted membership at $44 per month. When I called to set up an appointment for this, I was told by Juan the assistant manager that they currently had a better offer through their Memorial Day sale at $39 a month. However when I went in for my appointment to set up my membership, I noticed Juan typing in my membership at the price of $49 a month. When I asked him why he was entering $49 and not $39 per month as he told me on the phone, he admitted that he did tell me $39 on the phone but that was a mistake and I had to purchase personal training at an additional cost to get this discounted price of $39, which was not told to me on the phone. When I asked if I could then just have the HMSA rate that I originally inquired about, he told me they do not honor that rate, and refused to give me any other rate than the $49 per month. Since there was only a $5 price difference I did sign up still, but felt that it was wrong that there dishonesty about the pricing, and he was upfront about his "mistake" he made and just tried to change the price without telling me. read more

First of all this was my first time working out here and I enjoyed it!! My GF said let's work out at UFC Honolulu and I agreed not expecting any change from Mililani or Waikele. Well walking into this gym first thing I notice it was big!! Even the arm bar was bigger as well. We walked in and just wanted to get the vibe and see the lay out (this was around 3 pm). The kids club is big and has a direct access to their Jujitsu area which that's great, they don't have to walk in the gym area. After we got our bags situated we looked around the gym area and first thing notice was more and different machines at this gym compared to Mililani and Waikele, granted it's bigger. Machines are spaced out nicely that you have a lot of room to workout and walk around. Atmosphere was great and not very crowded today. Machines are all in great condition and they even have all the dumbbells up to 120lbs. For the most part not to much dust like the other locations and cleaner. What really got me about this gym it was cleaner than the other 2 UFC's. Paper towels was stock and even the bathrooms is sprayed with Clorox every so often, I mean all threw the bathrooms. CLEAN!!! This is what got my attention that this staff takes care of what they have, especially when this is the first location!! Great job guy. Definitely coming back I mentioned to the GM he has the cleanest gym of UFC's (Mililani and Waikele) yet. I told him to keep up the great work. The Arm bar was clean and fully stock with condiments and clean, not like the other locations that we been too. Bottom line is if your in the area and looking for a gym check UFC out. The gym part is excellent- the bathroom however is falling apart. Needs alot of work. Toilets always out of order, no moving air so everything is damp or muggy in the room. At first, I approached the juice bar to have a simple and decent conversation with your employee, Soley, to ask for information for my sister, who was with me and considering becoming a member. Instead of being helpful or even polite, Soley immediately gave off an attitude. This is not new she has repeatedly shown the same rude and unprofessional behavior on multiple occasions. Soley is consistently dismissive, rolling her eyes when clients try to speak to her and making exaggerated facial expressions that are mocking and insulting. Rather than showing even the most basic courtesy, she carries herself in a way that feels hostile, as if members are a burden to her. It is clear that she lacks professionalism, customer service skills, and respect for the very people who keep this business running. The damage this creates for your gym is very real. When I brought my sister who was a genuine potential new member Soley's negative attitude was the very first impression she received. Instead of being welcomed into the UFC Gym community, she immediately felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. That experience alone was enough for her to decide against joining. One employee single-handedly cost your gym a new membership. I come here for peace of mind, focus, and wellness not to be disrespected, mocked, or publicly embarrassed. If this type of behavior is tolerated, it reflects extremely poorly on UFC Gym and the environment you are promoting. Quite frankly, I will not continue my membership if this matter is ignored. I sincerely hope this complaint is taken seriously, thoroughly investigated, and properly addressed.
