Cool light up wall art of the Columbus skyline! It changes colors.

Discovered this new boba place tucked away in the Marc's plaza on Henderson Rd in Northwest Cbus. It's next to Sunrise Market and is easy to miss if you don't have a keen eye. Upon entering, it's open and airy with a few small tables and some funky padded chairs. There's a really cool piece of lighting/wall art (pictured) along the main wall. Our drinks were a bit slow to come out due to what appeared to be online/delivery orders placed with Uber/doordash. What's really nice is that you can order at their kiosk and customize the sweetness and amount of ice in your drink. Their menu looks pretty extensive too. I tried an oolong milk tea, which was more floral/less sweet than what you'd typically expect from boba. However, it was just what I needed that afternoon. It looks like they have just recently opened and will be continuing to fine tune things. I'll definitely check them out again in few weeks to see how things go.

We decided to stop by Miu Tea since we were in the area picking up pastries while driving through Columbus. This shop seems pretty new - the interior has monitors to display the menu, but neither are turned on. In addition, the furniture is a bit flimsy, like it's there temporarily for aesthetics rather than for actual use. There's only a single chair per table - not very inviting. I can't see anyone wanting to sit down and hang out in the shop. The furniture is also arranged oddly along the walls so that there's a lot of empty space in the middle of the shop. I guess the interior and missing elements will be filled out in the future. As with any new-to-us boba shop, we went with a single drink, the special of the house/the classic. Classic Milk Tea, Light Ice, 50% Sweet, Large w/ Boba ($6.45) - The sugar added almost has a sort of caramelized taste to it and it's quite potent as I found the drink to be overly sweet even at half sugar. Miu Tea adds quite a bit of lactose-free milk, so the cow milk flavor and the sugar comprise the main flavor elements of the drink. The tea taste kind of lingers in the background, covered up by the milk and sugar. The boba here isn't very good. The outside is soft and mushy and makes you think it's overcooked until you bite into the pearls. Then when you go just a millimeter into the bubble, you reach a uniform hard interior that doesn't have much chew. I don't know how they achieve this mushy exterior and hard interior texture together. Overall I found the drink to be slightly below average. (3/5) Bathrooms - One unisex room. My best guess is that Miu Tea is still in soft opening so they have room to improve. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I would give it a couple months before trying this place again.

I ordered a black sugar milk tea if I remember it correctly. My friends ordered a ube one and an avocado one. All were super good. Love it!

Went in and they were already playing good music so that's always a good sign. The menu is HUGE and they even have non caffeinated options which is amazing. I got the Coco Avocado Strawberry drink and my sister got the Strawberry Tea drink. I've never tried avocado in my drink but OH MY GOD it's delicious!!

I needed some cupcakes for a gathering, and I saw the reviews so I thought I'd give them a try. I got up early to be there when they opened so I could have a good selection. I was pretty disappointed when I got there and there weren't that many options. I was also surprised at how small they were. The decorative topping is very simple. Then, when they said they were $4 a cupcake, I was even more surprised. If I hadn't made all the trouble to get here and if I didn't really need the cupcakes, I would have gone someplace else. I thought to myself, these better taste amazing. I bought a dozen cupcakes and made sure I got at least one of each flavor. Once I got home, I dug into one, just to see how they were. Once again, I'm disappointed. They don't even taste fresh. WTH?! Now I'm regretting serving the rest of them, because what if they aren't good as well? So disappointed. I got feedback from those at my event and the consensus is these aren't good. All of the cupcakes were dry, crumbled and fell apart when you tried to eat them. What makes matters worse, the owners don't care.

Like the cupcakes she bought a dozen of and refused to share. Don't nothin' ever change? Italian creame and snickerdoodle were the rave of today. It all tastes great, too! I had the Blueberry crumble cupcake and wished I could have two. They have a lot of unique flavours but take caution some things are extremely sweet. Ask first. The young lady that waited on us was friendly and helpful. The crowd wasn't too bad, I suspect it was the crummy weather that kept all the Ohioans inside today.

It's fun trying all of their new limited time & seasonal flavors; there's bound to be a flavor for everyone any time you go! I love all of the fantastic locations they have as well; the walk up window in German Village, and the locations in the Short North & Grandview are my favorite; because they're perfect for grabbing a scoop or two & then enjoying a nice walk with your delicious ice cream! For those that normally have to skip out on ice cream due to dietary restrictions, Jeni's is still for you! They have a ton of dairy free ice creams that are seriously quality & taste great! My go to is Texas sheet cake, it's loaded on the chocolate flavors, but all the df options like Carmel Pecan Sticky Buns, Banana Cream Pudding & even the Frosé are all amazing! Most of these are vegan, & they have a ton of gluten free options as well! Regardless of the kind of ice cream you like, Jeni's is a spot you need to try!

The display of chocolates was completely mesmerizing and contained a wide variety of truffles and handmade candy bars. The shop owner was very friendly and also gave recommendations on what to try. I tried only two truffles because I was so full from all the foods I tried before: Lavender Hand Rolled Truffle: The truffle itself was very dense and rich with a strong presence of cocoa. Every bite melted in my mouth just like any good quality chocolate. What ruined this one was the lavender flavoring which was so overpowering that all I could taste was cocoa and lavender. Vietnamese Cinnamon Hand Rolled Truffle: I really enjoyed this one. The cinnamon and honey in the truffle paired perfectly with the strong cocoa flavor and the chocolate itself was very rich. If I was ever in the area again, I would probably come by to try their handmade candy bars and white chocolate items.
