I have been to this place few items and tried different food from the menu. For me nothing stands out as per the food. The place is nicely decorated with Bollywood theme with games you can play with family or friends. The staff can be a hit and miss. I have experienced the staff being very friendly sometimes, and others not at all. However, every time I have went in, it was never busy. As per the food, I had their chai (karak chai, masala chai and Kashmiri chai.) I didn't care about any of them. They were extremely sweet for my taste. I had their pani puri and the puris seemed stale. Also, I have had their samosas and they were just ok. Every time we placed an order, it took a minimum of 20 minutes to get our food. However, they do cater food and will display and serve the food at a party. And they do a phenomenal job on the decoration to display the food. The lemon cake was lovely, in a Starbucks lemon loaf way but less tooth-achingly sweet. The chai latte was... not lovely, but too floral and not sweet enough. The rose petal decoration looks cute... until it sinks to the bottom of the cup and you get a mouthful of CHUNKS at the end of your sip. We ate here on a a rainy Columbus evening; the various chai options warmed both our bellies and our souls. My partner opted for the masala chai--always a classic! And I chose to try something new (to me): the Kashmiri chai. I was rewarded with a warm, nutty, and delicately floral milk tea with a BEAUTIFUL pink color. For dinner we shared the samosas chaat (very healthy portion!!!) and the chicken boti roll. I don't know what else to explain for this other than you need it, go get it now. Chat had plenty of crispy samosa, sweet tamarind and mint chutney, mango, and chickpeas. The Boti roll has great spiced chicken on a buttery flaky paratha. For dessert we got the Chikoo milkshake-lightly sweet but so delicious and creamy; the Gulab jamun sundae (I will always alway get this when we come); and the Ras malai (a great portion for the price!). Cute little coffee shop! They have cute decorations all around and they tie the place together perfectly. I loved that they had a chai flight so I was able to try three types of tea. I also tried the pani poori which I've never had anything like it before. It was a thin dough, served cold, with a sauce. There were so many flavors but it all came together perfectly, with a little kick. The only reason this restaurant wasn't a 5/5 for me was the timing. We got the dish first, ate it all up, and we were still waiting for the drinks to come. After a while, my husband got his drink and finished it, and I still hadn't gotten my flight. Cha Sha is an interesting South Asian coffee/tea shop concept that while it has good intentions, it fails to deliver overall. The ambiance is nice and relaxing with Bollywood posters, South Asian décor and wall art, and a couple of games set up. The menu items look appealing, although the food on display looked stale. Our group ordered the Gul Bahar waffle and a large kettle of tea. Our order took over 30 minutes to arrive, even though the place was not busy at all. The waffle was a large shareable portion, and the sweet Gulab jamun and ice cream combined with the waffles made for a delicious dessert. The tea was ok - not very strong and lacked overall flavor. I will be back here to try out some of their other drink items, and hope that they will have worked out the kinks in service and make some efficiency gains by then. read more

I've actually been eying this place for a while. I spotted it once they put the sign up, though it looked like it was still under construction. Once I started seeing posts on IG, I had to make my way over here! My friend and I came on a weekday evening. A lot of families and groups of friends here. It's a nice chill vibe. We ordered a few things to share: falooda, gulab jamun sundae, watermelon juice, chai (not sure which kind), pani puri, and a chicken club sandwich. There were a lot of things on the menu to try! The chai came in a charming matka, but the flavor was underwhelming, with the tea leaves overpowering the taste. The chikoo shake was delicious, but the lime soda lacked flavor. The kulcha was decent but tasted like it had been frozen. The bun ka baap was spicy, and to my surprise, came with an egg, which we were told was just brushed on the bun. The paneer quesadilla was okay, but could've used more flavor. The waffle, though a fun concept, was quite heavy--best to share. We ordered everything at the same time and it was brought out mostly together give or take a couple mins except for my latte. I was convinced they had forgotten it. We ate our entire meal, slowly, while waiting for my latte. We were about to leave and reorder it in a to-go cup when they brought it out. It took FOREVER. The chicken egg sandwich was not for me (too much raw onion and chutney for my taste) but take that with a grain of salt, as I haven't had much food similar to this and didn't read the full description before ordering (oops). Was excited to try this place for the first time and when we walked in, it was a beautiful cafe, it was so bright and lively. It was pretty busy and full, but so welcoming and cozy. There's wifi available, a decent amount of tables, and a lot of parking available in the plaza. We ordered our coffees, which lists no size or any other options, so we just ordered what we saw on the menu. Our cashier was very soft spoken, I really wasn't sure what they said about whole milk, but I was okay with it because I wasn't aware that there were alternatives. It took 46 minutes to get our drinks and they came in a small glass cup for $4.85 ($3.99+tip). We both got the Kashmiri Chai and it was delicious, creamy, sweet, and had touches of pistachio and rose. I was a bit disappointed about the wait time and the size, but it was fine to experience the first time. About 40 minutes after we got our drinks, I had already finished mine and my friend was almost done, but we had been studying there with our laptops and books. The cashier who helped us was also walking around and stopped at our table. They then asked, "Do you want anything else?" We both said, "No thank you, we're good for right now" and I said, "I might later, but not right now." because I fully intended to buy a snack, but I was not ready yet. And they stood there for a minute and asked again, "Can I get you anything else?" I responded, "Not right now, but I will go up and order later." They once again asked, "Are you sure? I can help you. You don't want anything?" Again, we confirm that we didn't want anything at that moment. My friend and I felt very uncomfortable and we decided that it was our cue to leave. We left because it felt very pushy and we felt like they were hinting that we had to purchase something immediately to stay. We saw a lot of families, children, and other people who stayed longer or stayed to talk and hang out, so it was a bit strange. Overall, the rest of the staff was incredibly nice. It was a strange first experience, but I also understand it as a business. It felt like they created a space for community, families, and a place to hang out and bring friends and family. The chai flight was a decent size and allowed me to try multiples chais. Two of them were weak so you can mainly taste the milk. The sugar level on all was perfect. The latte was drinkable. The milk was not frothed properly for "silky" milk, but that's ok, this isn't a place that specializes in lattes/espresso. The bread in the sandwich was really soft. But overall nothing special. There were only two workers during this "rush", so we waited a while for our drinks and food. But that's ok, because o was not in a rush and wanted to support a local business and the seating was relaxing. read more

I have never heard of an Indian-inspired cafe, but here it is, and it is good. Walking in, you become immersed in Indian culture, from the music to the decor. The menu is also full of Indian-inspired food and drink, and the person at the register even offered their recommendations. The coffee and chai were fantastic. The food is definitely palate-dependent, with tons of spices, but I enjoyed it. The magic for me ended once I sat down and looked at the napkin holder, filled with brown paper towels while other tables had different paper products. No two tables were the same. It felt like they ran out and just put out whatever they had in front of them, not considering the aesthetic. The service was very good and the order didn't take terribly long, but I could see them running into a timing issue if they were at maximum capacity. Extremely extremely disappointed. It wasn't even the bad service but blatant negligence. We made it clear that we don't eat meat and we were served meat, not once but twice!! This is disrespectful and not acceptable by any standards. Initially, we inquired about the ingredients of a dish called "pizza paratha" to ensure it was meat-free. Reassured by the staff that it contained no meat, we were appalled to discover chicken pieces within it while eating. Naturally, we sent the dish back, expecting a corrected version. To our disbelief, the replacement dish also contained chicken, despite reassuring us that it was vegetarian while serving it. I have no words to describe how disgusted and frustrated we feel. It's beyond comprehension how a restaurant can disregard such a fundamental customer request twice in a row. The owner did apologize to us in the end but the damage was already done.
