Ho ho hojicha! Cha redefine is redefining more than just cha (tea) but also greetings. Speaking of their teas. They just came out with a hojicha series which is the bomb! I love their hojicha einspanner which is this incredibly smooth drink with little rice crackers on top. The only sad thing is that they don't allow for an no ice option so drink fast people or it'll be dilute!

The Iced Black sesame matcha einspanner was genuinely one of the best matchas I've had in a while, I'm so sad it was seasonal and they just took it off the menu :') hopefully they'll bring it back! The iced matcha matcha had the perfect amount of sweetness and matcha taste. I also tried the hot blueberry oat milk matcha latte and think it would've tasted better if I got it iced, but it was still good and had a unique flavor. The place was really clean with a few tables to sit inside. Staff are friendly and drinks came out pretty quickly. The location is also super convenient since sunrise Asian supermarket is next door and there's plenty of parking. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Black sesame matcha

Tried their new black sesame line and I personally love their black sesame matcha the most! Matcha latte was rich and more on the bitter side, with black sesame cold foam on top of it! It's totally my type of drink! Also tried their black sesame milk tea with pudding. Love the back sesame foam and milk tea. But cant do that pudding... its not really a jelly like texture. Not really a fan of that. That drink also feels heavy, might like it more if it's tea jelly instead to give it a more refreshing touch. Anyways, would totally recommend thwir black sesame matcha for anyone interested in trying. But it is on the pricier side given how small that cup is.

So good that we came twice! We really enjoyed this place! Heard about the hype from California and came for the soft opening deal. The tea flavors are strong even in the fruity drinks and the size is large- good for the higher price. Would love to try more of the tea drinks last time! The store is cute too, not too much seating but clean and comfortable. Quick service as well!

Mochiberry, mochi taro

Prolly my second favorite boba place in Columbus! Although it's not like there are any real competitors...lol The flavor combos they offer are all very inticing, plus they have my new favorite topping (mochiiiiiii). While I was waiting on my order, I saw them hauling a giantass bag of taro which makes me thonk they use real ingredients. However, I wish they would put more taro in the drink...? I tasted only whispers of taro paste, sadly. Also, since we ordered the strawberry smoothie at only 25% sweet you could really taste the authentically unsweetened flavor of the strawberries lol. In terms of decor, I found the aesthetic confusing to say the least. It appears they underwent a little rebrand from when they were previously known as Miu Tea, but the new decor (e.g., wall-to-wall bright orange and purple banner, bold graphics, etc.) clashes with the calmer, bamboo/zen look that they seemed to have been aiming for before. I appreciate that they have seating available though! I do always think that something that would be amazing for a boba shop to have is outlets and free wifi (new study spot pls) but I understand that in such a small space, the noise level might not be ideal anyway. One day I will find out what the dirty avocado tastes like.

Black sesame coffee einspanner...barely any coffee, a whole lot of foam

Okay this place is good but second time around I'm realizing that it might not be totally worth the prices. Got the black sesame coffee einspanner this time, and as evidenced by my picture, it was like 1/4 coffee and 3/4 foam. This was similar to my first time there when 1/3 of the cup was mochi topping and 1/3 was the foam topping. I think I might just go back to sticking with the basics.

The matcha is so good here! Omg! I can't stop drinking it. Soft opening today, 20% and feee magnet, I love this place so much. And recommend to you all! The coco melon is so refreshing. If you like watermelon you should get that! Staffs are so friendly and knowledgeable with their drinks. Store is clean, and good for friends to hang out here.

Matcha rice einspanner

They have almost every drink category from pure teach to milk tea, to matcha and coffee. Everything I've tried have been amazing, flavor is strong and you can pretty much adjust the sugar level to every single drink. They also have theee BEST matcha in town!

I hadn't been in the area for a while so I went to Yelp to see if there were any newer options for me to check out. That's when I found Bitty & Beau's and headed straight over. When I arrived I learned that this spot is a coffee shop, self described as a shop, "where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are valued in the workplace." Their website shares that they employ over 450 individuals with disabilities nationwide. That is when I realized that Bitty & Beau's was actually a chain establishment with 10+ locations spanning from the Midwest and East Coast down to Florida and even Texas. I'm not big on chains, but this is one I can get behind. Very cool. A few things to note... It's located in a shopping complex, which means there's plenty of parking and other businesses like restaurants, a grocery store, etc. The interior is really dark and moody. That's not usually the atmosphere I look for when I'm going to work, meet someone, or hang out for a while. That said, I was able to find a table to prop up for a while. I had trouble with the wifi while I was there and didn't end up staying as long as I had planned because I really needed it. The staff was great! Super friendly, answered questions about their seasonal offerings, and all of that. We even got serenaded by a worker (All Star by Smash Mouth) and I couldn't help but join it. I'll also add that my seasonal lavender latte with oatmilk was $10 which baffled me. However, I did think it was cute that instead of a number to listen for when your order is ready, they would give you a playing card. Mine was the 10 of diamonds and it was ready rather swiftly.

I am always glad to have another local coffee shop to visit. Bitty & Beau's originally started in…read moreNC and has expanded to 11 states in the last ten years. The shop is recently opened in Columbus and they strive to provide employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities (their words). The shop itself has a fun, friendly vibe and a nice amount of seating. It was very clean and they have a selection of B & B merch for sale. On to the coffee! The iced vanilla latte was enjoyable. I would have preferred more vanilla flavor, but it was nice and cold with plenty of ice. In addition to coffee, they have a small selection of pastries and breakfast sandwiches.

It's super busy on Saturday mornings, but mid morning during the week, there's short lines and your choice of tables. Several people had laptops too, so it's quiet enough for that as well! Their pastries are what bring me here, the coffee brings a lot of others. Their blueberry galette is delicious - large flaky pastry, ripe blueberries, with a delicate sweet cheese filling. My friends go to is the Biscuits & Jam or the Ham & Swiss. I picked up an Everything Danish to go home - like an everything croissant with an herbed cream cheese - so good!! We also enjoyed black coffee and an iced Chai! Look forward to my next trip back to Dublin!

Our last visit we were blown away at how fresh and well baked everything was. Even the oatmeal was smooth and creamy. The servers were also so happy to help us select items and tell us about the products. This time, we were an afterthought and seemed liked a nuisance for not knowing what we wanted. I felt like the pastry selection was small compared to the location we went to before. The breakfast sandwich was really thrown together- the last time it was warm and cohesive with a good amount of sauce and the eggs were so fluffy and light. This time very rubbery. The croissant I had was raw/doughy although well flavored. Oatmeal was one big clump versus smooth and velvety. The strawberry matcha was super sweet with almost no "matcha" layer. Our cinnamon roll was over baked with no delicious gooey bits. Seemed like an affluent neighborhood which will support this addition, but maybe an instance where expansion is happening at the expense of quality.

I especially enjoyed the illusion of privacy offered by the dividing screens at the traditional seating area. I am apt to take off my shoes in public regardless of the occassion, but the sunken tables allowed me to unleash the dawgs in a more socially acceptable manner. Note that Tea Zone no longer offers as wide a variety of savory foods. In fact, they only serve ramen. But their bakery section is still robust! I'm not honestly the biggest fan of most fruit cakes but I had an uncontrollable craving. As far as store-bought fruit cakes go, it was not bad. As always, I wish the cake part had more depth of flavor than just ~vanilla~, but as a whole, the cake was quite soft and generously topped with an assortment of fruit! The servers were very sweet (haha) and offered to make my iced matcha latte unsweetened but I was like, no, I need the high. Because I sure as hell am not high on life. Not a direct quote

It was refreshing with a variety of fruits, sweet red bean, little rice cakes, and vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. They also have a plethora of freshly baked Korean style cakes and breads ranging from soboru (my personal favorite ) to red bean buns and fried donuts. Would love to see if they can do a red bean filled soboru bun! I was surprised by how good the fried donut was - super soft and filled with sweet red bean inside. If you're a chestnut lover, I also recommend the chestnut soboru bun. It had chunks of chestnuts inside and was not too sweet. If you're a savory person or need a meal, they also serve ramen There are plenty of seats inside and the interior has such a classic, homey feel to it. They even have traditional Korean style seating! The workers are also very sweet and friendly. Definitely a place I would go back whenever the sweets craving hits!
