I didn't realize it was fast casual. I didn't realize it was kind of a grody environment. I didn't realize no beer or wine. What I did know, the food is awesome, the portions huge, and the prices fair. We had three dinners, bulgogi, short ribs, vegetarian. All excellent. I live in Sam Diego and I drive back monthly to visit my parents in Glendale, so It's always my first pot stop of what I crave to eat when I'm home and my parents love and we can never go wrong. Really good. When the place looks shady and has a janky menu and no online ordering, you know it's goooood. Get the chicken. They fry the noodles up real nice too. So much food for under $10. Sometimes I crave this kinda food. It's the overly sweet "korean" bul go gi. It's strange how the noodle and rice in one bite has a comforting thing going on, double starch, weird but good. The one thing you can count on is, this place is always consistent with their flavors. One day I tried making this at home, and you wouldn't believe how much sugar goes into the meat to make it taste like that, it was an enormous amount, I always wonder who thought to do this in the first place, but I'm glad they did, because sometimes...it's just a craving that needs to be fed! read more
