My wife and I was in Glendale because of a test she had to take. So we decided to try this place because it has a Vietnamese menu on their window. We thought it was Vietnamese good, but it was Korean/Japanese cafe. We arrive super early, the owner was still setting up and cleaning when we walked it. It was okay for us to sit there while he finished. It was small cafe but super clean. My wife and I order the chow mein with chicken and beef. We each got a small meal and it was a really good portion for us. Our food came out in a fancy looking plate. The food taste good the only down side was it was a bit oily. Anyway it was a good decent breakfast. We will try here again when we are in the area. This place takes credit card and cash. The have a Domino Pizza in the plaza. This place is in the small shopping center towards the back, gives a very fast food hole in the wall feel so I was a little hesitant at first. The inside is really narrow, fits a few two seaters on the right side while on the left is the grill where the chef takes your order and make the food right there. I got the Mongolian beef and it came out more like shredded beef, served on a bed of saute bean sprouts and cabbage. The dish wasn't bad overall, but it definitely wasn't Mongolian beef, more like a korean stir fried dish. My friend's teriyaki plate was good, I tried a piece and the meat was tender and flavorful. Overall a decent lunch place when you're on the go and is nearby, the service was fast and friendly. It's a mom and pop type restaurant that has pretty good teriyaki food located in a small market place near a Domino's pizza and some other small businesses. Parking isn't very big but you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot. The owner is super friendly. Their food portions are huge and are reasonably priced. My friends and I always called it Cafe Mitzee & there used to be another one on Colorado St near Chevy Chase back in the day... I almost always go with the combination dish of chicken & beef teriyaki with chow mein & rice. The large order is $7.50 and the small, if I remember accurately is a $1 less. The food is good, servings are plentiful, price is right & they are consistent like no other. I don't remember the name exactly but I think we ordered the Mongolian beef, chow mein, and the combo plates. They were all very similar and it was a tad bit salty at times but overall good. It is like a step up from your standard Asian fast food. I love that they actually grill the fresh meats, veggies, and noodles in front of you. The price is very affordable as well! My boyfriend and I were looking for a teriyaki place around Glendale and came upon this neat little place after studying at Starbucks on the block over. This teriyaki place is pretty small, which some people say is bad according to some reviews. There are a few things that need work such as dusting on certain corners of the walls and possible new paper decorations, but this isn't a review about interior design or structure, it is about the quality of service and the taste of the food. Overall the joint is pretty nice and cozy. When we entered the shop, the waiter was very kind and greeted us, as well as the cook. It made us happy that they let us dine in even though they were about 30 minutes away from closing down for the night. We ordered a small beef and chicken teriyaki combo and to our surprise, the sizing was pretty big and good enough to fill you up for a 'small' size. To us, the large could've been shared between us. The pricing was very affordable which I really loved as well as the mix of the variety of food such as teriyaki and korean bbq. The beef teriyaki I ordered was delicious and I absolutely loved the rice. I'm not much of a fan of chow mein-like noodles, but decided to give it a try and at first the texture of the noodles felt a bit rubbery (can't think of another word to describe it) but after eating it for a bit, the texture isn't bad and I can be pretty picky with the textures of foods. The flavor made the noodles taste good either way. The waiter was kind enough to bring us some waters and provide refills and sincerely asked how we were doing and our thoughts about the food.
