3/24/24 Checking it out! Getting lunch! It's a buffet, but you can get what you want, have it weighed and take home. Greeted upon entering. Music playing. Asked for a to-go and a food holder was given. Then you go in and they have a large variety of options to pick. Some didn't look real fresh, but thankfully a lot of it did. Plus, o just didn't get what didn't look fresh. I got a lot of different tasty items to split for lunch. That included a fresh sushi bar area. Lots of options! Even got mini donuts for dinner. Checked out, the worker weighed it, and I paid for it. Good price for all you get! It's clean & safe inside. Music playing. Lunchtime! I set it up to make it easy to split. Try a little bit of everything. My half was really good! Luckily, I got to pick to get the fresh & tasty options. Mother felt the same! Good service & good lunch! Recommended!

I go there for the eggplant and sushi The food is always very delicious The staff is friendly and helpful

Mitsui offers great value for your money, making it one of the most affordable buffets around. The staff is attentive and friendly--once, they forgot my drink but made up for it by giving me an extra one on the house. The place is also family-friendly, especially with its charming little pond. Atmosphere The vibe is dark and dim but in a calm, relaxing way, with soft lighting that highlights the food. Multiple channels are available to watch as you dine, adding to the laid-back experience. Food The seafood selection is solid, especially during the summer when they offer crab legs. The raw oysters are good, and the cooked seafood options--like cheese mussels, seafood boil, scallop noodles, and seafood medley--are satisfying. However, the sushi bar is a bit disappointing, with dry nigiri and mostly California rolls. The noodle bar used to be great with a savory broth, but it's more hit-or-miss now. On the other hand, the pastries are moist and delicious, though the chocolate fountain doesn't harden properly on the fruit. The fruit bar mainly consists of canned options, but it's still decent. Overall Mitsui is a great place to get your money's worth, offering a wide variety of options that make it a good choice for affordable dining.

Great Service. Decent food quality. Reasonable price. Clean environment. We will come back again for sure.

For about $20-25 this can't be beat. The amount of salmon nigiri and eel I eat here is crazy. It's not the best sushi in town but it's definitely not the worst. Much better than standard buffet quality but not quite the same as a good sushi restaurant. All the other items are pretty tasty too. Favorites for my non-sushi loving husband are the teriyaki & hibachi steak and shrimp. He has had a little bit of everything on the menu and never has anything bad to say. Service is usually pretty quick but there are days where the sushi comes out painfully slow. To be safe, I recommend just ordering the max amount you're allowed each time. Cute little decor on the inside and not too cramped. We'll (obviously) continue to come back!

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Cassidy is new to the restaurant and waited on us. an Shewas wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, patient, and just genuinely great service all around. The only downside was the new menu design. The font is extremely tiny, printed on a small laminated sheet, and honestly very difficult to read. Hopefully they make the text larger in the future because the food itself is outstanding. Overall, highly recommend Shobu if you're looking for fresh sushi, excellent sashimi, hearty ramen, and great service.

The moment we walked in and sat down to our table, we did't feel welcomed. Our server was very short with us and seemed annoyed. Initially, they were pushy on having us order assuming we have been there before. It was our first time and we didn't even get a chance to look at the menu yet as we just sat down. Throughout the service, our server never offered us water or came to check up on us. It was an off vibe like they were having a bad day and it resonated to us. The food was a big letdown. We ordered the agedashi tofu, earthquake roll, big boy, fireball roll, and a sashimi appetizer. Each item we ordered had an issue. The agedashi tofu was super bland and the broth didn't pair well with it. I've had this dish several times at other locations and this wasn't up to par. The rolls were drowning in sauce and ruined their texture. The rice was also overcooked and very soggy. Soggy rice drowning in sauce is not a good combination. Lastly, the sashimi appetizer was served lukewarm. Each piece of fish had a mushy texture instead of being firm, and it didn't taste fresh. Perhaps serving them on top of ice to keep it cold would help. Plus, the miso soup was very salty. Overall, it was a very disappointing first visit, and unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back.

The menu presented extensive and adventurous options that as first timers could have been intimidating but with the help of Donavin our delightful server, we selected the perfect seafood salad for the Mrs. and the curated selection of Maki (delicious sushi "tacos") that together made for the perfect share. Add to that a smooth Japanese beer and a surprisingly moderate overcast that made our dinner on the patio the perfect way to celebrate our first meeting 47 years ago. There were so many other tempting menu options that we'll look forward to sampling on our next for sure visit. Yes it's soup but beyond that the experience in the presentation is completely different. It was a little quieter and more laid-back it felt a little bit more upper class. I feel like I would have to come here two or three times to fully find what my favorite things are. I tried the spicy miso broth. But if I come back, I'll get something different and I'll probably have to try a few before I end up finding my exact favorite. The experience here was more about timing and what you're cooking instead of making a soup with everything in it and then eating it. I would have to say that everything that I had was good. Not really big on tofu and their money bags tasted OK a little bit sweet in the end. The corn was really sweet to me. I like both of the mushroom types that they had their my wife only liked one of the two. My broth came out amazing. I added cilantro, green onion, and their hoisin sauce along with some lime. We also got Ramen noodle. It didn't seem like it was gonna be a lot of food. I felt like we were gonna be hungry by the time we got done eating everything. But it turned out in the end we were both full and not needing anymore. I would say this is a little bit more expensive than JPot. But I think this would be a nicer place to bring a date to overall experiences and presentation is better. I would say the service here was really good. We were well taken care of. I always say that you should make reservations if you're gonna come. We walked in when it didn't look like it was full or busy, but we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. At least there's a little bit to walk around and do around here so you have other shops and places to see if you have to wait. Overall, I would give this a five star review. But my honest opinion is I would rather eat at JPot. But I might only be saying that because I have my favorites over there and I didn't leave here creating a favorite in my mind. I left here thinking next time I come back. I'm gonna try different stuff. Again everything is good
