My date picked out the Restaurant. This was my first time dining here. Heard great things about it. Walked in on a Sunday evening without reservation. The restaurant was pretty empty. They were able to get us in right away. After being seated, TIME has pass by and workers were walking back & forth with no acknowledgment of us even being present. We were right in the middle of the establishment, where it was visibly noticed if someone was there or not. Finally after 15 minute has passed we were able to flag down a server and let them know we've been waiting patiently without any water. There was less than 6 table occupied as I watched the restaurant operate, whether it's your section/table or not you should always greet tables immediately, especially when I was given eye contact. FINALLY Once the table was assign a servers, she was pleasantly knowledgeable in her menu and beverages, which was very helpful to maneuver through the menu since it was a really large selection. Overall, I was still pleased with our meal, definitely will come back, but hopefully the service won't be as slow as we did this time around. Apparently During the weekend, the restaurant has a second floor and a club/bar scene in downstairs for dancing to salsa/meringue, Reggaeton music vibes, which is great for weekends gathering with a group of friends that opens after 10pm til 2am closing.
I've visited Mito before, but this was my first time coming for brunch -- and it absolutely delivered. The atmosphere is always a vibe. It's perfect for any occasion -- date night, celebrations, or a casual brunch meet-up. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. I ordered my usual drink of choice and went with the fajitas this time. They were seasoned to perfection -- flavorful, fresh, and served hot. You can tell the kitchen pays attention to detail. Mito continues to be a solid choice for me. I'll definitely be back.
I had the most amazing time on Sunday. The vibe is great and the music was nice. I had the steak fajitas and they were delicious. Our host Elianna was THE BEST. Next time I'll get a fancy drink . The only con was the bathroom was pretty bad I had to dodge tissue and liquid all over. I cannot wait to go back.
Met at Mito at noon on a Saturday for brunch with a couple of my cousins and other extended family and friends. We were a larger group of about 15. I had never been but had bookmarked some of their lively videos and food pics on social media and thought I'll have to try this place sometime and now I finally had the chance. It's a huge space! and our table was 1 of the 4 tables that were being served, other than that the restaurant was empty. Just one waitress was serving our large group as well as the other tables that were in the restaurant and she was overwhelmed. Once all of our orders were placed it wasn't long before food started arriving and everything looked great, came out hot and fresh and tasted delicious! I wouldn't go out of my way to return here for brunch only because of the emptiness and lack of staff, but will definitely come back for dinner and cocktails as it was painfully obvious that is a nighttime spot and the ambiance and vibes would be amazing for a date night or night out with friends!
The food here is truly exceptional--every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, with flavors that are both unique and perfectly balanced. The drinks are just as impressive: creative, refined, and full of character.
First time here came cause my friend was DJing for brunch. Taken away by the atmosphere. Really impressed by the upscale tropical cantina theme. It took a while to place a food and drink order. Perhaps having a hostess greet when coming in would be nice but I also like the sit yourself method too. Staff is welcoming and chill. My server Elliana was very kind and courteous. Very good server. Good drink and food options. Drink I had and quesabirrias were good. Prices are a bit high but nothing crazy
I went to Mito with a friend on a Wednesday evening because we saw on their Instagram post that they were doing a chicken Fettuccine Alfredo pasta special deal. That is our absolute favorite dish there so when there's a special happening, you already know I'm gonna hit it up. The service was slow despite the restaurant not crowded. The ambiance was nice with music playing in the background and not overly loud. The server was not aware of the special deal however once I informed her of the special and she confirmed with the manager, they did honor the pricing. Loved that!! Overall, good food and even better deals. Attached is a photo of my pasta that day :)
The vibes, food and service are on point at MITO. Located near the Rosedale Mall, a friend and I stopped on a whim and were blown away. Cocktails are a little pricey, but strong and well crafted. Large menu has something for everyone. Excellent and attentive service. Plus they have happy hour specials all week!
Went out with some girlfriends to catch up, but we always prefer to do so in a fun environment! This place gives downtown Minneapolis vibes (a touch clubby), but is located in Roseville with plenty of parking lot space! We all ordered something different. I decided on the Enchiladas Verde and I ate THE ENTIRE plate. They were saucy and delicious! We also split the truffle fries. They came out in a massive portion and were extremely addictive! No complaints from my friends about their Quesabirrias or Tacos! Of course the drinks were amazing and eye catching! My Oztotl was tasty and came out smoking with dry ice! My friend picked the Gran Parca which came in a disco skull, definitely her aesthetic! Service was friendly & fun! Huge space on the inside with neat bathrooms! Could be great for large groups with reservations in advance!
I have been to Mito in Roseville twice now, and it is definitely a happening spot. The food is solid especially the birria beef, which was a standout. Drinks and cocktails are creative and fun, making it a great place to unwind. Parking is plentiful with their own lot, which is a nice plus. My only critique is the strange blue lighting inside; it casts an odd color over the food and takes away a bit from the presentation. Otherwise, a lively spot worth checking out. The Old fashioned drink was great!!
Food was expensive. The food and drinks looks pretty but doesn't taste good. They could improve, if trying to do fine dining, they should do a 3 or 4 course since portion was small, you could go to a small Mexican restaurant, wear food taste way better, bigger portion and taste like Mexican food and good.
I asked a friend where she'd like to celebrate her birthday and she chose Mito! The ambiance when walking in is beautiful wood work all around with stunning Latin motifs, while also looking like it potentially was a hopping party spot. It was a Monday night so, very sparsely occupied. We were seated toward the back. The hostess was very busy and ended also being our server. She was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of! All staff seemed great! The Spicy Margarita was the best I've had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It was a toss up with the flight of Mararitas though! I ordered the AGUACHILE MANGO HABANERO. If you love seafood it's a must! Spicy warning! I LOVED it super fresh, tangy and the octopus was tender. Very well made. Not a place I'd frequent mostly because of the cost.

Ambiance was great! The food was delicious and our server T, was amazing, but they need to work on some things. We came here for my cousins 22nd. It was 6 adults and one toddler. We made a reservation a WEEK ahead. As we got there the host we had seemed a bit clueless on what she was doing. Two times tried to sit us a a four top when its 6 of us AND a child. We had to specify to her we were NOT gonna sit at a tiny table because we are here to eat and drink. Why would 7 people sit at a tiny FOUR TOP? Eventually after having us walking back and forth for about 15 mins. She sat us down at a table inside that was a bit bigger. Telling us the "bigger tables were reserved". She sat us down at a table that wasn't even set. Our server T made the rest of the experience a lot kore enjoyable. The food like I said was good but there were some hiccups here and there. We paid $24 for guac that was supposed to be made in front of us which wasn't. One of the tacos we ordered was wrong and lots of the sides that came with our entrees were either missing or not the right amount. Our Server T fixed everything immediately which we are so grateful for. We know they just opened so we are not holding it against them but definitely hope they get into a groove of things and train their hosts better. read more

Let me first say the remodel is GORGEOUS! It looks completely different than the previous tenant and feels as though you've walked into Miami/SouthBeach or Tulum, Mexico. It's honestly beautiful inside and out. The prices, though, are a different story. They are ridiculously high for the area. The cheapest appetizer is $15 and goes up to almost the $30 mark. Drinks are very high priced...some $30 and up. Their cheapest steak is $65 with the most expensive being $400. Guacamole is $24 for the basic guacamole. Add-ons are additional. Tacos start around $7 each and go up to $10 each, unless you're getting a lobster taco which is $68 for 3. They also have other options with 3 tacos available for a lesser price, and 6 tacos for $40. No sides, I believe, come with it. A burger? That'll be $28 without a side. If you want fries, it's $15. They also have sushi and ceviche which is around the $23 mark and up. I really hope this place does well because you can tell they are passionate, but their pricing is not going to bring in a regular clientele. I didn't see a happy hour yet and no signs stating they're finally open! I hope they are able to bump up their PR and price things more accordingly. Honestly, I love dining out at nice places and I'm not afraid to pay money for a good meal, but I'm also not a sucker. There's no guacamole in this world worth almost $30 after adding a topping. And honestly, their food wasn't extraordinary for the pricing. read more

Food and ambiance was amazing. Drinks were cute but didn't taste the best. Service was top notch! Our server made the experience so so so awesome! I can't remember her name but it starts with an A and she is from Argentina! She was so lovely and had such a great personality. She gave us a tour of the drinks and food menu and we took multiple suggestions from her. I believe she said she's transferring to the new Forrest Lake location and I will definitely request her when I go after it opens! read more

Went here Friday Dec 29th for a friends birthday, we had a group of 8. Multiple drink mess ups, bad communication between the runners and server. They gave me another persons food, which was a beef burger after I told the server I do not eat beef. I had lost my appetite and said i no longer wanted my original order (chicken sandwich), but instead wanted a rush put on the food for the persons food I had gotten. They did not put a rush on her food but gave me the chicken sandwich I didn't request. The chicken sandwich was gross, 85% breading. Other people in our group also complained about their food being swapped around and just overall not good. I will say the atmosphere and decor is stunning! They had an amazing saxophonist playing all night as well. Very clean bathrooms! But overall not worth the price of the food for the level of mistakes and bad service. read more
Walking into MITO felt like being on vacation in Miami! The vibe is incredible - tropical jungle meets an upscale nightclub. The servers were very kind and had great recommendations when it comes to drinks. Hibiscus margarita was very refreshing, strong and not overly sweet. The 'foot' drink was exquisite. Looking at the menu, it was difficult to decide what to order. We wanted to get a few items to share but ended up settling on the Birriya Pizza and Pojo. The price tag on some items was crazy - 9$ for a single taco? The table next to us ordered the shrimp taco trio, and it looked really sad on the plate, with hardly any garnishes and no sides. The menu definitely needs improvement, with more emphasis on how to pair different items together, such as adding a side of rice or beans since the tacos don't seem to come with it. The birriya pizza was very flavorful, and I would definitely order it again. Make sure your server brings the consome on the side, as they initially forgot it on our table. The pojo course was delicious - charred grilled chicken in a savory dry rub on a bed of potatoes. It would definitely benefit from a small side of veggies, but it was great nonetheless, and a very generous portion. Overall, I am excited to have Mito join the Twin Cities restaurant scene, and hope to see new additions to the menu this summer. read more

The food was good - on the expensive side but I found it reasonable for the quality and amount. The drinks however, were incredibly expensive for what they were, though I'll usually not care as much if everything else is great. I'm giving it two stars however for a few reasons. The bathrooms were veryyyy dirty, and their "trash cans" for paper towels were open baskets(which... gross? No one wants to see other peoples' trash). The tables were too close together, and you felt like you were bumping chairs with everyone around you. Also, despite half the restaurant being open, everyone was put at tables right next to each other, which added to the lack of space issue. Additionally our service was sub par. The server rarely checked on us, and failed to notice when waters and drinks were empty. Our drinks(which we had only ordered two of from the bar) came to the table after our food as well which was disappointing. Not sure if they were understaffed, or we were forgotten about. Either way, incredibly disappointing experience. Upon asking for the bill, the 20% tip line was also clicked before the machine was handed to us(and I'm not sure if that is restaurant policy or something our server did of her own volition, either way it's inappropriate). Our server also failed to let any of us select a way to get a receipt, taking the machine away before we could click any of the options. I work with the same system Mito uses in a different restaurant, so am familiar with the system, which is why I pointed these things out. The only other saving grace(first was the food) was the fact that they brought my friend a free shot for her birthday. It was very kind, and especially appreciated by the birthday girl. But the staff did a minimum of 6 birthday celebrations in the time we were there, and it's such a BIG celebration with lights and loud noise that you definitely notice every time it happens. read more
Friday afternoon dinner and drinks with coworkers. We heard that Grumpy's closed and a new Latin restaurant took over. They did a great job reinventing the space. Every which way you turn is a great Instagram backdrop. We had a large group of 10 people... and didn't think we would need reservations for 4 pm, opening time. But I guess they were "booked" inside, and we got sat on the patio. Perfect for a late summer afternoon. Loved the canopy in the trees for shade. Our waiter was Emmett, and he did a fantastic job with checking in on us through our 2 hour stay. Friends came and went at different times, and he was keeping up with the us. Many fancy drinks were ordered. Some had a "pour show".... so get your camera out to record. It was the highlight of the evening. Many different meals were ordered from pizza to sushi. Don't forget to stop by the bathroom before you head out. I also judge a place by its bathroom, and this one takes the cake! (The only place close enough to compare is Baldamar.) The whole thing was an experience. A little spendy but worth the good company. read more

Wow! We loved the flashy Miami vibe. Such a fun ambience which included live music. The drinks are so unique and showy. The food was really tasty and also had a fun presentation. The ceviche was very fresh and great flavor. The shrimp tacos were crispy and delicious. Shout out to Esmeralda who was a great server and showed us around the restaurant. It is a stand alone building in Roseville with plenty of parking. There is a plan to have a club space upstairs and a speakeasy downstairs. This is not in place yet, but will be fun to try when we go back! read more

The ambiance is really nice, beautiful colors, flowers wrapping down from ceilingwan the way to restrooms as well as inside restroom (people were taking lots of selfies) lol. The food was really good (aside from what's noted below), we got the Tempura Rolls, Birria Pizza, the Boiling Crab and Truffle Fries (not worth $15 at all, save your $). The drinks were yummy, we got 2 Margarita Flights (they were strong considering some places) and 1 MITO Airplane since we went for my sister's birthday (You are paying for the full experience not so much the drinks (a little spendy) but good. Our waitress was great, helpful and kind. Music was our vibe and also had a Saxophone player who brought the people who were celebrating birthdays on stage to play a song for them as well as then played Happy Birthday. Only complaint is the truffle fries for sure. All in all it was a $400 night for the 4 of us and partly because we did the Mito Airplane which is $80 itself lol. Will definitely go back! read more

If you are looking for somewhere with just flashy lights and overstimulation- go here! It's unfortunately overpriced and overrated. Drinks were okay, but extremely expensive. I will say they are creative but both food and drink lack authentic actual flavor. I got barely two small plates and two drinks and my bill was well over $100.... The quality is not worth the trendy little hype it currently has. Maybe if they changed their menu and progressed in their flavors instead of just the flashy "show" it may be worth visiting again... As someone who personally worked in the fine dining and restaurant industry I do NOT suggest spending the money or time here personally :/ read more
Well this was amazing from start to finish. The decor is like walking into a club on south beach and just has a good vibe as soon as you enter. The food was top notch with the Kobe beef tomahawk steak taking the show. It's one of the best steaks I have ever had. The octopus was very well seasoned and delicious. The table side guac was good and fresh but probably the only ok thing it was good, but not great. The claims from the billionaires menu were delicious and loved the presentation with the gold flakes. The service for a new restaurant was good and you can tell they are still getting used to things. A few hick ups but they were pleasant and gracious. Will definitely be going back again and again. They also have a big free parking lot with valet if you wish as well. read more
I would tell anyone to visit this place. I liked the ambiance and the service was great. I didnt eat any food seeing that I can stand to miss a meal. Moving on the drink the drinks was hitting I was two drinks in and started feeling myself. There was a nice lady that is a bartender I wish I would have gotten her name but the way she worked that bar and handled the guest was freaking top notch. Anyways back to the drinks they serve the speciality cocktails in cool little cups dope right. Inside those cups is another life. Check Mito out I went solo definitely recommend for a date or hanging with friends and family. read more

The remodel is gorgeous! Food 3/5 - MITO has a wide variety of options to choose from. Overall the food was good but not great. The tacos and burgers were the best out of everything. The sushi was underwhelming. The drink menu was fun but there are no non-alcoholic options offered. Prices for food are a bit high but you're paying for the ambiance. Service 4/5 - MITO definitely has plenty of workers. People were constantly walking over to refill our drinks and take finished plates away. We had a few wait staff take plates that weren't finished when I went to the bathroom. Ambiance 5/5 - The prices reflect the ambiance and fun beachy atmosphere. The music and vibe of the restaurant was fun even at 4:30pm on a Saturday! read more

Honestly, this is the best Latin restaurant I've experienced. The atmosphere/ambiance is unique and fun. The food/drink is excellent. The Birria here is the best I've had - you can get it on pizza, in an empanada, tacos, and even in their queso. Service is great! Drink presentation and the shot "airplane" are a riot. My wife and I adore this place. We've driven 3.5hrs to come here a couple times now. Love it! read more

The sushi was terrible, the rice was under cooked but the tamarind wings were so good, I'd go back just for those! The drinks were delicious. We went during October for my birthday & the place was decorated in Halloween decor and I absolutely loved it. Our server was dressed so cute and was so kind and patient with our large group. The experience was fun and a great place to go when celebrating. The music choice was great, it was as if we were dining and clubbing at the same time. A bit pricey on the food but you pay for the experience. read more

Honestly the ambience is nice, but food is over priced. Can't even get refried beans right. Cool drinks nice place to take pictures. But service is meh and some bartenders have attitude problems. You can't speak to people at your table because music is blasting. read more

The true Kobe beef is a must, at least once. But everything and everyone involved, from our absolutely incredible server, to the beautiful decor, contributed to an unforgettable experience. Even the bathrooms were amazing. I'll undoubtedly go back to try the things I regrettably was too full to try the first time. read more

My first time there was 12/22/2024 for my sister birthday. The seating is very comfortable and atmosphere was phenomenal. The music was on going and great. Very welcoming place. The prices are on the higher scale but literally worth every dollar. The food look like the pictures and taste great. The drinks were funny, cute, and get you where you need to be lol. At first the service was slow, and it was hard to find my server. Also at the same time she did know that we were waiting for someone else. After that services was on point. I highly recommend to everyone. And most definitely have plans of going back, very soon. My server was Linn (I think I spelled it right lol) she was so sweet, adorable, and she love her job. She spoke nothing but Happy great things about the restaurant. read more

Took my mom here for her birthday and enjoyed "the show" everyone did an excellent job assisting my family. The food menu is more of a social menu but nevertheless the food was amazing. My mom enjoyed the tasty, "Gold Fat Burger." **My favorite part was when the team came and sang happy birthday. They all were loud, energetic, and appeared happy to be there! read more

I'd say like a 3.7 for food but interactive experience and ambiance is a 5 for sure. We made a last minute reservation which I'm sure doesn't happen often so I would definitely plan ahead if you plan on dining in. MITO feels like a different experience, hard to believe it's in Roseville of all places, which I love. (Huge parking lot) the decor and lighting is pretty amazing to be honest the experience begins when you walk into the door. I love the hanging florals and plants. Our waiter Christopher was great, very attentive and friendly. We were hesitant about dining here because of the mixed reviews about the food, some good some bad. We had a good experience, out of 3 things 2 we thought were good, nothing that totally wowed us though, here's the deets. For an app we ordered the birria empanadas, which I thought was delicious and the cosome was flavorful. The chorizo and asada tacos were dry and lacked flavor in my opinion. The Diablo shrimp was good, we were impressed by the amount of large shrimp but wished it came with rice or tortillas (we did order tortillas for it) it was good but we weren't having a ratatouille mouth explosion moment (IYKYK) a lot of people were ordering the sushi which they would torch with a flame in front of you, they seemed to be raving about that. The cocktails are super fun and unique. There's a drink cart that rolls around serving shots, I opted out so I received a complimentary champagne, the smoke bubbles on the drinks were a fun interactive touch, she even served the bubbles over people's heads to catch in their mouth! There was also a fire dancer walking around to different parts of the restaurant, we also enjoyed the live music but it is very club like and loud in there. We were celebrating a birthday - you get a complimentary cheese cake - the cheesecake was so creamy and eye rollingly delicious. read more

I don't think they have a set dress code. It is an upscale restaurant so I think anything business casual would be good! :)
