owner is an old short disgusting and disheartening human being. he has no consideration for others and is rude. I'm a tow truck driver in the same city as him. as I'm dropping off another car for a shop that's next to his , he comes out and says "get the fuck off my property" and tells me to get lost. no consideration for the fact that I am doing what I can with what I'm given I needed to block a small part of his driveway to position the car off my truck to roll it down to the shop next to him. I don't encourage anyone to do business with a man like him that runs the place. read more

Honest and very reasonably priced auto shop that goes above and beyond. I had significant damage to my car which resulted in my drivers side door panel completely dented in and badly scratched. I brought it in to be repaired after a recommendation from a friend, and also asked them to fix other accumulated damage around the car. The quote was very reasonable and I left the car there on Friday morning, it was ready by Monday at noon. This was very significant damage and I almost didn't recognize my car when I picked it up. It looked practically brand new, outside and even inside! They decided to detail the interior for me (car is 8 years old) and it looked fantastic. Smells like polish inside and my baby car seats weren't connected, but that was certainly proof that they actually just took everything out and detailed it without my asking. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone. Honest, timely and great work. Planning on returning with my other car next year. read more

Ivan (the mechanic) charged for unauthorized work and then refused to release the car unless paid in cash. He had very clearly been told to let us know what the repair and cost would be BEFORE doing any work. My husband did not have cash so I had to drive there with cash or he would not give him the car. He then argued about providing an invoice- he did not want to. The work did not fix the problem either. Terrible experience. read more

All Great Reviews are True Brought my car in for a broken side-view mirror. The estimate was fair, no deposit was needed to order the new part, and I made a reservation for the work to be done. When I got there, someone installed it within a few minutes of my arrival. When it was time to pay, I was charged less than the estimate. When I pointed it out to the owner, Tony, he said there was no need to paint the part, nso he chaerged me less. When does this ever happen? They have a new customer for all work my car may need. I got my car this morning and he did an awesome job- I looked at the bumper at all angles and I could not tell that anything had happened to it. Tony also compounded some scratches I had on the front of my car and it looked great- the car was washed and shiny when I picked it up. I banged up the undercarriage of my car going over a few speed bumps and steep driveways this summer. I took it to the dealership and they "tightened it up" but I would still scrape the bottom on bumpy roads. a really good honest auto body repair shop in white plains that does outstanding work with prices that you can deal with . the location is downtown white plains on a quiet side street on mitchell pl off mamaroneck ave. it has it's own private lot so your car is safe and secure. i spoke to the owner mr tony and explained that my nieces car need some minor body repairs on the front passenger side of the bumper that had a few cracks along with faded paint due to a pothole . mr tony gave the car a look over and explained what had to be done, the cost and time needed. i left the car on a wednesday morning and it was ready on friday as promise all fixed and new looking , even a few minor scratches on the side drivers door were gone. i would recommend mitchells auto shop without any hesitation . read more

I brought my car here to get touched up before I returned it at the end of my lease. Tony did such a great job! I brought it in on a Thursday and it was ready for pick up early Saturday morning. I had an accident and brought my car here based in the reviews I read here regarding his work. The owner Tony was a nice guy and very accommodating. Unfortunately, his worker rushed the work on my car and when I got it back the paint on my bumper (which I was getting fixed) did not match the paint on the rest of the car. To make matters worse, the worker didn't even wash the car afterwards. I immediately noticed the mismatch and brought the car back and asked them to repaint it the right color. Tony agreed to have it fixed and when I went back again, I noticed that the bumper was the same color as before (still didn't match)but now the fenders were the mismatched color because his guy tried to blend it rather than repaint the bumper. I brought it back again and told him that the car had to be redone and not just blended. Third time was a charm, and he finally got the colors to match but it was frustrating having to bring it back three times when it could have just been done right from the beginning or at least the second time. My car was grey and that color is difficult for body shops to match but still... a little more care and less of a rush would have prevented this from happening. I wouldn't say don't use them for your body work, but I definitely would pay close attention to any work they do and make sure it's done right before you take it home. read more

We were new to White Plains and needed diagnosis and repair of my wife's Acura TL which was having intermittent problems starting! Tony had one of his mechanics confirm that it was only the battery (an off-brand replaced by AAA about 18 months ago) and he called two parts stores to get the best price. An hour later, the battery was delivered and installed and he saved me over a hundred dollars on the battery...just because I was new to the area. While I can't guarantee he will do the same for others, my wife and I will certainly go back to Tony for any future body work or mechanical repairs.
