One of the best soft serves ever! I had Mister Softee during a game at the Chase Center and this was phenomenal. For $11, it's definitely steep for ice cream, let alone soft serve, but well worth it! The portion is quite generous so it can definitely be shared. An unreal sweet treat.
My toddler always gets excited whenever we cross paths with Mister Softee NorCal. This truck offers classic soft serve via cones, sundaes, and milkshakes. Toppings include sprinkles, nuts, crushed oreos. There is also chocolate, caramel, butterscotch, pineapple, cherry and strawberry sauce. With pricing ranging between $4.25 and 8 bucks, this sweet treat doesn't break the bank. Service is friendly. Mister Softee comes recommended for people of all ages. If you are lucky enough to have this truck roll through your neighborhood or see it drive around your local park, do not hesitate to give them a try!!
Booking was very easy. They respond pretty fast. I started the booking back in January for my son's graduation party in June. I was unsure how busy they would get, so it was better to be safe than sorry. I spoke with Andrew regarding details of the booking & what came with the services. He explained the whole menu was available & they can serve up to 70 people in 1 hour. That sounded perfect. I decided to move forward with the reservation & you can either pay a deposit or the full amount. The day of the event, the truck arrived early & I was able to talk to the driver regarding details. I did notice more than half the menu was crossed off but didn't ask about it. Then when it was time to serve my guests, they all told me a lot of the items on the menu weren't available. The only thing offered to my guest were soft serve in a cone or cup with toppings. Sundaes, banana splits, & floats weren't an option. My son asked the driver why & she said all she had were toppings. I called the next day after our event & spoke with Andrew again. He apologized for the mixup & it was a miscommunication with the driver & dispatch. He also explained, sometimes they do limit the menu to ensure guest are served in a timely manner. That is fine with me, but it was not communicated. He said he would look into it further and get back to me. I ended up writing an email as a follow up, and Andrew finally got back to me. They were able to accommodate a partial refund due to the issue on their end. Overall they have great service & my guests were happy but it was the expectation vs what was actually delivered. I will book with them again in the future in hopes we have a better experience.
First time trying this and it was delicious. I asked for a milkshake with Oreos and they asked if I wanted vanilla or chocolate. I have been hearing great things about Mister Softee and was excited I was finally able to try it!
Caught the Mister Softee truck outside Palo Alto Medical and decided to treat myself after a lab appointment. Great decision. The Chocolate Nut Sundae was everything you want from classic soft serve -- smooth texture, generous chocolate syrup, and a satisfying crunch from the nuts. Simple, nostalgic, and perfectly executed. Quick service, friendly vibe, and honestly a bright spot in the middle of a medical day. Would absolutely grab it again.
Excuse the half eaten picture of the cherry sundae - but it looked so good I had to dig in immediately. I was visiting Don Biddle park when I heard the ice cream truck playing. I thought I was a regular truck at first, but was pleasantly surprised to see soft serve! My kids loved seeing the cones being dipped. The cashier/service was super nice and patient with my order (I had 4 children with me). Cups/cones are about $5/each. And they were delicious. I'm following them on IG so I can be sure to catch them again!
Mister Softee is such a neighborhood staple nowadays. The moment you hear that familiar jingle, you know you're in for a classic soft-serve treat done right. Whether it's a sundae or a perfectly blended milkshake, the quality is consistently spot-on. The app is a surprisingly great tool for tracking down the truck, and it almost feels like they know when you're following them because they're quick to stop and serve. The service is friendly, the favorites are dependable, and that unmistakable music makes every visit a simple, joyful experience. Mister Softee also offers private event bookings. I booked them for a birthday party, and all the kids were happy. Booking was easy and conveniently handled by submitting an online form, with clear confirmation and follow-up via email. A great experience for kids and adults alike!
Oh what a yummy ice cream this truck had and it was perfectly located outside the Pacifica Taco Bell Catina right by the shore. It was a beautiful sunny day to enjoy the ice cream after the gloomy and rainy Bay Area weather. Service was fast and prompt. It was like a cherry on top of our perfect Saturday adventure
Initial scheduling, confirmation reminders and flexibility was great. My party time shifted the morning of, when the Guest of Honor was delayed. I called Mister Softee and left a message. Someone returned my call within 5 min, I explained the issue and asked to push the arrival-start time 1 hour later. They checked their calendar and easily changed my time slot without issue or fees. I was very happy they could accommodate my change request, that ultimately made my party timeline flow better. Server arrived on time and everyone enjoyed their icecream treat.
My brother and I were on a mission to get mister softee. The first spot closed up before we arrived, and the second stopped serving ice cream even though it was only 8:30. We decided to try one last time and the third time was a charm. Using the app, we tracked a truck to a gas station. Kelsey was pumping gas and it was obvious she was done for the night. However, she went out of her way to help us and happily served us ice cream when I asked. She truly made our night--amazing customer service, and the ice cream was just as good!
The truck stopped in front of my place so I rushed out the door to get some soft serve! I got the Crunchie ($5), which is vanilla soft serve dipped in cookie/graham cracker crumbs. It was sweet, delicious, and a large portion. It's hard to track where the trucks are on the Mister Softee app - I have to rely on hearing the ice cream truck music. Maybe this particular truck isn't registered? Not sure how it works, but if you hear it nearby, do not miss your chance for a fun treat!
So...the pictures made the soft serve portion look smaller than it actually is and I got two.....I was originally going to save one for later (put it in freezer), but it was melting too fast, so I ended up eating both. Luckily, I got it at a work event, so I had asked for a mini version of my second cup. The truck is just soft serves with a whole bunch of options as toppings. Yet, I couldn't decide what I want. I ended up with the Crunchies and aOreo crumb sundae. The crunchies (essentially mini chocolate crunches) are good - I would recommend it if you're like me, and love crunchy things LOL. Overall, a solid place for vanilla soft serves. read more

I only came here because when I went to my auntie's house, a Mister Softee truck was right outside her house - my uncle likes their ice cream, so I went with him to check them out as well. I have seen them around, but this was my first time actually trying them out. Honestly, I expected a bit more - the employee driving the truck was not as happy and friendly like I would expect. I believe my uncle just had their Chocolate Dip , while I had their Banana Split. I have not had a banana split, since I was younger, but this was not it, as the bananas were a bit on the ripe side, so the texture made it not as enjoyable. The vanilla soft serve portion was okay, it is what I would expect for vanilla. The chocolate soft serve was eh, but I am not too big on chocolate anyway - I should had just got all vanilla (not sure if they allow customization, but I should had asked) or just got one of the sundaes instead. It was decently big, so I shared with my grandma and mom - they thought it was alright too and were not too big on the chocolate part, even though they like chocolate. read more

Food was delicious! I would definitely recommend. -Food was pricey, around $5-6 for one normal ice cream . -Was tasty, (very indeed) had a soft texture, looked like the perfect ice cream to eat on a summer day , and had the right amount of sweetness. Plus they had many flavors. SERVICE: -They were very nice, and made it super quickly. WARNINGS AND IMPROVEMENTS: -Lines are usually pretty long, but do have usually 2 ice cream trucks at parks (if staying there for a while), and have one truck if they're only there for a little bit. -There's also no seating, theres no stores or shops. OVERALL: -Overall, I would recommend to go, good ice cream. read more

The husband and I finally tracked Mister Softee down using their app to satisfy our sweet craving. I ordered the classic Vanilla and Chocolate Swirl, while the husband got the Chocolate Dipped. Both were yummy and helped to cool us down in the warm weather. Staff was nice, service was quick and prices were fair. Will definitely be returning for more! read more

You've probably heard that Mr. Softee jingle from the truck as it traverses your neighborhood. I've been wanting to try a soft serve from Mr. Softee as friends have been raving about it. I finally had the opportunity at an event where Mr. Softee was brought in to provide soft serves. Though it was about 30 minutes wait, I was looking forward to finally trying it. With a choice of soft serves and toppings, I chose a chocolate dip swirl in a cone. It looked fabulous when it was handed to me. Got my phone out to take a pic and the ice cream was melting already and started dripping onto my hand. I was surprised that the ice cream was so soft and melting so fast on a 60 degree day in the City. I had to start quickly biting the chocolate shell and slurping down the ice cream. It was not the way I wanted my first Mr. Softee experience to be like this. After I finished my cone, fortunately there was a restroom at the event and I had to wash my hands. I'm glad I finally tried my first Mr. Softee cone. It was good but it was not a good memorable experience. read more

Tried mister softee for the first time and I thought it was yummy! I quite like all the topping options for their ice cream and all the variety. I also love they offer a double cone option to have 2 ice cream flavor on one cone, so cool and great option if you want to share! If you're wanting to have Mister Softee at an event you can totally contact them to do so! They have trucks that can drive to your event (ie: wedding) and serve your guest soft serve from Mister Softee right at your event. What a creative dessert option for your next event! read more

Many of my friends have been hearing the ice cream truck jingle around my neighborhood and raving about how delicious the ice cream is. I finally heard the jingle on my street and decided to give it a try. I got their Crunchie and Butterscotch Sundae. The Crunchie is a soft serve with crushed bits of Oreos and peanuts in a cone. It was a good portion for its price of $5. The Butterscotch Sundae was another soft serve with butterscotch. It's definitely worth a try, though I might get something else next time. Though it is on the pricier side for $6 Mister Softee offers an extensive menu with treats like sundaes and milkshakes. If you ever spot the truck around your neighborhood, I would definitely recommend checking it out. read more

Hear the truck driving around the neighborhood every Monday night, and have always used willpower to resist. However, couldn't resist any longer this past Monday as I was craving a sugar fix. Hubs and I ran out to the truck like little kids while our actual kids stayed in the house and declined a sweet treat. Hubs knew exactly what he was ordering - the chocolate dipped. I decided on the crunchie. $5 for each treat. Google and Apple pay accepted, which was very convenient. Pretty decent sized servings, and we both enjoyed our treats - definitely satisfied that sugar craving. read more
I've always wondered what that truck with the ice cream and the music is that drives around your neighborhood and attracts kids. I was curious, but I certainly wasn't going to buy anything from them. To be honest, I didn't think their ice cream was very good. However, the day came when I had to try their ice cream due to circumstances. I chose the classic chocolate and vanilla cone, which I loved for its softness and texture. And you know what, it was just the right flavor. All in all, I was happy, but their other options confuse me quite a bit. So, I am giving a grade just for my choice and for a good job of marketing. read more

Can you please tell us what city you purchased this from so we can…
There's nothing like being a grown adult scrambling to get your shoes on, or if your like me, I'll run out with just my socks (so embarrassed lol) to chase after not just any ice cream truck, but Mister Softee. Mister Softee is the modern day iced cream truck. They have an app where you can track where they're located and when they'll be in your area. They also accept Apple Pay/card - no more having to hunt down a dollar for the ice cream man. Times have definitely changed from my day, but it made it that much more convenient to get some ice cream. Just listen for that classic tune that sounds like an old music box. You're not gonna find the classics here though. If you're looking for the tweety bird ice cream pop, the WWE ice cream sandwich, or the snow cone, this ain't it. Mister Softee's is all soft serve. They have many combinations to choose from - vanilla, chocolate, swirl of both, Oreo covered, chocolate dipped, sundaes, banana splits...you name it. I do wish there was more variety in the actual soft serve - perhaps adding a special flavor every now and then aside from the typical vanilla or chocolate. read more

I walked up to the truck in front of my house. The guy takes my order of a banana split. I tell him I left my wallet inside my house I'll be right back. I run inside and back outside - maybe 90 seconds. The dude drives off. My wife, mom and dad and father in law were coming out to order. But again, they couldn't because the dude drives away. Not the way to make money or a happy house of customers. Guess we will have to go to Baskin Robbins. Well here's a nice update - the driver left my house to go service people he saw up the road. I thought he was leaving - i wasn't happy. He took care of them and came back to my house. He said he apologized but wanted to take care of everyone quickly and he didn't think I was going to be so fast to get my wallet. He apologized multiple times. We are back on the good side of Mr Softee again. Please come back. I'm the judge too quick jerk. read more

I love hearing the ice cream truck jingle as mister softee makes it's way around the neighborhood. It always brings a smile to my face. Finally found a reason to try it during the nice weather on 4th of July since Mister softee was parked by the beach in SF. I got the strawberry sundae and I liked the soft serve. The strawberry sauce is good but it does overpower the soft serve. Big portion for $6. I think next time I would just get the soft serve on it's own. read more

My friend and I were taking a leisurely walk on the beach to get fresh air and unwind. She immediately heard the ice cream truck music and was giddy. She jumped up and said "Oh, I hope it's Mr. Softee!!" I'm like "what's that?!" (only moving here 1.5 years ago and never seeing an ice cream truck). As soon as the truck was slowly coming by she waved her arms to flag him down and he parked. We walked over from the boardwalk and the gentleman serving us was really sweet in sharing his selection for the day and recommending items. My friend new exactly what she wanted, an Oreo Dust Cone Upside Down in a Cup. Naturally, I followed suit. What?! It's Oreos and Vanilla--I've been known to be the Oreo cookie girl back in my Catholic School days. Anyway, I digress. I asked if I could try the butterscotch and he said it's delish and give me a huge squirt in my cup and it was great! The inside looked clean and items ranged from $4-7 per item. That's quite a good value with great service. Highly recommend if you can track down a Mister Softee, get at it kiddos!!! read more

Had to chase one truck down about a couple miles because the driver didnt pull into our warehouse. I asked the driver if he can turn around as I got a full warehouse of employees who wants ice cream. He said he has to follow a route. We,ve been waiting for 3 weeks since the last one came into our yard. He said he'll be there and never showed up. Horrible customer service. Why do I have to chase down a truck and beg for them to turn around to cater paying customers? Do better. read more

Today while I was decluttering I heard the ice cream truck, it's warming up outside seemed like the perfect day for an ice cream . We ordered two soft serves : an oreo dust and vanilla chocolate. I really liked that they weren't super sweet and even though the truck has been driving around the consistency of the serve was on point. read more

Mister Softee, makin' my Saturdays sweeter. When we hear the truck outside, the way my son and look at each other will forever be a happy memory. We've used mister Softee for events at school, and they're so easy to work with. I highly recommend asking them to come to your fundraiser. But book a year in advance, we learned the hard way. The fact that I can open my front door and order ice cream is such a privilege. I don't take it for granted. And it's actually good ice cream, so if you've felt unsure or hesitant, this is your sign to get some. The driver/server/ice cream men I've met are so cool, too. The one that used to come left to follow his dreams, and the one we have now remembers me every week. Thanks Mister Softee for making a route my house happens to be on. read more

We were doing errands on a Sunday when we heard an ice cream truck in the Outer Sunset by Ocean Beach. It was a super hot day so we immediately followed the sound and found the Mister Softee truck right in our neighborhood! We got two cones that were so perfect. The soft serve is delicious and all the topping choices are great (Oreo was my fav!). The person who was running the truck was sooo sweet and friendly! ^__^ She was happy to see so many people stopping by - there was a short line forming when we went! Definitely want to try other toppings so will be on the lookout for the truck again! This was a few weeks ago, but I think they still visit the Outer Sunset on weekends. Woohoo! read more
