Wanted to try out there bbq came around lunch time. At noon they do the national anthem. I got the 5 bone ribs and tried their honey spicy bbq sauce it wasn't very thick but was yummy. I also got their Mac and cheese and corn bread and was both yummy. My son got the brisket. I do feel like the ribs were salty prior to putting sauce on. But would like to try their other items. I love how they honor the military and veterans!

First time here and it won't be my last ! The food is really good! We tried the sampler and got the kids the kids meals. Decent portions and good prices. Brisket was good both the lean and moist, everything was delicious the baked beans did lack a little The service was great everyone was helpful and kind

We ordered 2 brisket sandwiches-lean. One looked chopped, so we told our server; Cole and he immediately apologized and brought us another sandwich and a free sandwich coupon for our next visit. Great customer service! The brisket was very tender and tasty. The Mac & cheese tasted homemade and the beans were pretty good. We were brought a free order of their Freedom Fries which were a little spicy and very tasty. I love the armed service, veteran decor. And if you buy a souvenir cup you can bring it back and $ off your drink. Definitely a recommend!

3 Meat Sampler - Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Sausage. Mac-N-Cheese on the side

Really solid first impression at Mission BBQ! My friends and I went for dinner on a Friday evening around 7pm. The restaurant was busy but we had no issues getting a table. We don't eat BBQ frequently & were excited when this place was announced. The restaurant is counter service, so you order your food at the counter, find a table, and they call your name when it's ready. The employee taking our order was very helpful. He explained the menu and answered our questions. The food was ready extremely quickly! I'd say we were waiting no longer 5 minutes. It was all hot & fresh. We each got a Meat Sampler plate with 2-3 meats. We also upgraded to combos for the sides & drink. The 3 meat sampler & XXL combo (which comes with 2 sides) is going to set you back about $30. This sounds like a lot, but for me it was so worth it. I got the Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Jalapeño & Cheese Sausage. For sides I got the Fresh Cut Fries and the Mac-N-Cheese. Our group also tried the Collard Greens, Green Beans, and Blueberry Cobbler. All the food was excellent. My favorite meats were the brisket and the pulled pork. I probably wouldn't get the sausage again - just wasn't for me. For the Brisket you can choose either moist or lean cuts. The moist is more fatty, but so flavorful. All the sides were delicious. The only side which received slight criticism were the Collard Greens - reportedly under-seasoned. The fries are excellent, especially if you get them seasoned! Portion size is very good. The photos look deceiving because of the trays, but there is a lot of food. No one in our group left hungry. The customer service was probably some of the best I've experienced for a counter-service restaurant. Throughout the entire meal, staff checked up on us, seeing if needed anything, even bringing us samples to try of other menu items. Everyone was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Great first experience. Already looking forward to returning to try something else off the menu!

Went to have dinner her while in town on vacation and this is an awesome place and very big on supporting our veterans! I ordered 2 moist brisket sandwiches with a side of Mac n cheese and it's was amazingly delicious and flavorful! It was also pretty busy so we got our order to go! I highly recommend stopping in and giving this place a try when you're in the area and especially if you like barbecue you won't be disappointed! They had an awesome menu selection and they also cater events as well! I know I will definitely be back again as everything from the service to the quality, flavor and freshness of the food was amazing! The ambience was very casual and noisy but what barbecue place isn't loud and casual!

Nice place, lots of options. All of them sound good. Did the three meat combo and it was delicious. The baked beans with little chunks of meat was good and the crunchy topping on the Mac and Cheese was amazing. Great food. I hope they survive Buc ees

Decided to stop by Mission BBQ on our way in to town for lunch and it definitely didn't disappoint! Mark helped us tremendously was outstanding! The entire staff was extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The décor and overall atmosphere really honor the military and first responders, which gives the place a great patriotic feel. The food was outstanding--juicy, moist, and fall-apart tender. Easily a 5-star meal! We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

We ordered to go from here and there was a missing item but when I called the General Manager handled it and all is good. The best part though....... THE FOOD! It was amazing! I had pulled chicken and the moist brisket with a side of seasonal cheesy potatoes and cornbread. My husband had a pulled pork sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese and it was gone before I could get a picture! We tried 2 sauces the Smoky Mountain and Memphis Belle! They were both delicious! We will definitely be back!

The concept is simple: order your meat by the pound, pick your sides, grab a dessert, and snag a beer, specialty soda, or fountain drink on your way to the register. The dining room is basically a redneck cafeteria, and I mean that as a compliment. Long community tables, no table service, and everything is self-serve. Honestly, I prefer it that way. I can grab as much white bread as I want, refill my own drink, never have to flag someone down for napkins, and I've had some great conversations with other patrons. The brisket is consistently good, and I always order it moist. The jalapeño cheddar sausage is another favorite, but the baked beans deserve their own mention. They're loaded with bits of shredded pork that add both texture and smoky flavor, making them one of the better barbecue sides around. Rudy's is one of those chains that doesn't feel like a chain. The focus is on the meat, and it shows. It delivers the consistency you'd expect from a larger operation while still feeling like a neighborhood barbecue joint. That's not an easy balance to strike, but Rudy's pulls it off.

You feel welcomed, it's very down home neighborhood feel. Me and my family went. (The 3 of us probably made too much noise.) but Eric's makes you feel relaxed and kicked back because the food is the show! It was our first time and there's no rushing you through the order process and they explain how it works, happily. It seems that everyone is humble and makes you feel like this is their love language. My family, the 2 of them had a burger and fries, chicken wings, pulled pork and brisket with Mac n cheese and cole slaw. When I reached the table, they both said the brisket was the best they've ever had! I feel like it's priced right! It's family style, so ordering by the pound makes so much sense. We ordered separately, but we each have good amount of food leftover for a day or two for me. We wanted to try SO many foods. We discussed needing to get the banana pudding next time. We all live downtown Phoenix but coming out to the suburbs for this, was A PERFECT TREAT for a Saturday dinner. My colleague suggested Eric's and WOW, she was SO ON POINT with this suggestion. When I entered, the place was pretty empty and the woman behind the counter told me they were out of a lot of things - they start smoking in the morning and when they run out they are out. But she did have pork ribs and burnt ends left, which were the things I was most interested in. She said she'd make me a big platter with ribs and burnt ends and I ordered a side of bacon potato salad. I saw her put everything into the computer a couple times as she was working to get me a good price. The side was 8oz potato salad. Unfortunately when I got home with my order, it wasn't my order. She'd given me someone else's order entirely. Instead of several pork ribs and lots of burnt ends I had a chicken leg, some brisket, a couple pork ribs and some catfish. No potato salad, unless the tiny container was a taster, but maybe that was tartar sauce. I was happy to try so many things, but felt bad for whoever didn't get this order. By the time I realized it I was already home and wasn't going to return cold food. :( The catfish was the strange one - I wasn't sure what it was when I touched it (since it wasn't what I ordered) and upon touching it, it felt strangely wiggly. As if it was a piece of deep fried silicone or something. But we cut into it and I tried it and it was honestly my favorite thing in the whole meal! Super tasty!! When I was at the restaurant the woman told me the meats didn't have BBQ sauce on them, but when I opened up the containers, the burnt ends and the ribs did have a little sauce on them. So it was overall a super confusing situation. Bread rolls were boring, but the rest of the food was good. I'd like to actually try the bacon potato salad next time I visit. Restaurant is large and was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere. Food was fresh and tasty.

I finally decided to try this restaurant after going back and forth with the other negative reviews that are out there but sadly, my negative experience was also similar to the others. I walked into the restaurant and immediately noticed that it was dirty and very dusty, however, some of the best food I have had in the past has been in places where some dust lives. I overlooked that part of it since the food smelled sooo good as soon as I walked in and I wasn't planning on dining in anyways. A few of the reviews talked about the rude staff, I didn't have that experience. Were they bubbly? No. Rude? Also no. The service was the only part of this experience that wasn't negative. I spent over $50 on the food which turned out to be mostly INEDIBLE. I cannot remember another time where I have had to throw out this much food. I ordered the sampler platter, fried shrimp with fries and collard greens. First to note was that the food smelled so good all the way home and I couldn't wait to dive in. I started with the shrimp. The shrimp had been cooked more than once and these were not only hard but also chalky, these shrimp were overcooked to the point of cremation. I thought maybe it was just the one shrimp that I had so I tried another one but unfortunately, they were the same and you could tell just by touching them. The french fries were also overcooked and tasted like they had been fried more than once maybe a day or two prior and then fried again, and also were very overcooked. The collard greens were cooked well but all I could taste was SALT. I love salty food and I tend to put salt on everything so the fact that I'm saying that it was inedible due to the amount of salt should tell you how over-salted this food was. The sampler platter had rib tips, wings, one sausage, and french fries. The rib tips were prepared with way too much liquid smoke, which overpowered all of the meat. Which makes me think, why would a BBQ spot be using liquid smoke unless they aren't truly smoking the meat? The rib tips were also very overcooked, hard, and dry. One of the wings was edible and did have good flavor, however, the rest of them were also extremely overcooked and dried out. The sausage had way too much spice (pepper) but not enough flavor, also had a huge issue with way too much salt. I'm not really sure how you can over salt something, but not necessarily give it enough flavor. In total, I was only able to eat half of one of the shrimp as the rest I had to spit out. And was only able to eat two of the rib tips because the rest tasted like nothing but liquid smoke and were extremely dry, overcooked and too tough to eat. I only had one bite of the collard greens to know that I could not eat them also due to the amount of salt. I was very hopeful that this would've been a good place especially so close to home. I have had amazing barbecue in the past and I've also had really delicious food from people that are from Chicago, so I feel like this was even more of a letdown than usual. Again, my biggest issue was that this food was inedible and unfortunately, I had already wasted $50 on the food. I was tempted to call the restaurant and talk to a manager or the owner however, I had seen all of the other reviews of rudeness and negativity when people brought food issues to the attention of the staff. I also have zero interest in going back had I been offered replacement food. So I will chalk this loss up to just an overall horrible experience. I hope that this was just a bad day for them but the mistakes that were made along with the other negative reviews, tell me that is likely not the case.
