Came here post-workout after TWST Fitness and honestly... best decision. This spot is tucked inside a food hall market and the vibes are on point--cool decor, fun energy, and although seating is limited, we had no trouble grabbing a table. I kept it light and fresh with the house salad, yellowtail sashimi with jalapeños, salmon sashimi, and ebi nigiri. Everything came out super fast and tasted incredibly fresh. The yellowtail had the perfect kick, but the ebi nigiri was the real star for me--so good. Such a cute little spot for a casual date or a food hall crawl. We also grabbed mochi to go and it was the perfect sweet ending. Already planning my next visit because I definitely want to try more of the menu.
Came with a friends for dinner on a Sunday evening. It was busier than expected with most tables filled. The restaurant is open with a market like feel and a constant hustle and bustle. You order off the menu with an erasable pen which is very smart. Many Japanese restaurants (especially when ordering sashimi, nigiri, rolls) use a ton of paper for their orders. We did have a waitress but the staff helps one another running drinks and food. The food was very good, fresh and I'd definitely go back. My suggestions would be bringing the dishes out over time. We received almost everything at once and the table was very full. The bathrooms are part of Stanley and are fine. They are usually clean. The parking is shared with all the Stanley Marketplace so it depends on time/day as to how easy or hard it is to find a space.
Second time eating here and it was so good. The menus is large with a good selection. We started with the crab Rangoon's and hot tea. The tea was delicious and we took the extra in the pot to go. We ordered 3 different rolls and each one was delicious/ The staff were friendly and helped in ordering. Our items came out fast and we enjoyed our lunch very much. It's a fun place to eat in the Stanley Market as you can shop after you eat .
After shopping for Pokemon cards, we were hungry and decided to try Misaki for lunch. They have a lot of options on their menu. Like the other places at Stanley, the prices are on par with other restaurants i think so somewhere between overpriced and okay. I think if you're hungry and craving sushi, Misaki is a good option. They have their own tables in the back and food comes out relatively quick. Overall, the rolls were fine and decent. My favorite was the spicy tuna roll. It had a nice kick to it. The muscles were okay. I would skip the katsu. At $15, it doesn't come with rice. It was dry, bland, and the proportions were small. If you want sushi, this is a decent choice. Not my favorite but I wouldn't mind getting it again.
Really great tasting sushi at an expected cost per person around $20-30 dollars. We had a good amount of sushi and Agedashi tofu as well. It came with miso soup which was decent. This establishment is located in the very trendy Stanley Marketplace and is one of the first restaurants you will see on the first floor as you walk in. Service was great as well.
Updating my review since they moved to a larger restaurant area and expanded their menu. I LOVE this place! As a half-Japanese from Hawaii, I find it can be hard to find authentic tasting Japanese food in Denver (aside from just sushi). I am in love with their miso butter fish (black cod), which is perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. Their uni is also delicious and a great value. The service is efficient and friendly, and the space beautifully decorated. My children love watching the fish and hermit crabs in the small aquarium while we wait for the food! We look forward to adding Misaki to our regular restaurant rotation! It's like a little slice of my home culture.
Food: Miso soup came with the combo set taste delicious with umami taste along with seaweed. Then, agedashi tofu as our appetizer which I like their sauce, but I think the outside shell of the tofu is a bit too thick. Not the best agedashi I ever try, but ok for $8. The main course came quickly and we like it. Sushi tastes very fresh except the shrimp that I can smell the fishy taste. Misaki roll was tasty. Yummy sauce & great taste of tuna. They also serves wide range of Japanese liquor here. Service: Promptly taking care of us. Quick billing with no bs add on fees which I love. The owner even walked by & asked us for feedback. Ambiance: Japanese vibes with cute fish tank & dora fish. Sum up: If I come to Standley market place again, and craving sushi that nostalgia you to the old days in Japan then this is it!
This sushi spot was a hit. Stopped by here for an early dinner on a Tueasay evening, and it did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was so fresh and packed with flavor. Everything from the service, prices, and quality were perfect. It was a casual spot in the Stanley market but the food was impressive and delicious.
This is one of my favorite sushi spots in Aurora! The service is always impeccable and the waiters are so nice and friendly. It has such a cool ambiance and I love the Japanese decorations and music. The food is flavorful and the portion sizes you get for the price is great. I love that they are located in the Stanley marketplace so I can do some shopping or grab a drink afterwards. Highly recommend this place to fellow sushi lovers!
Was here at lunch time on a Thursday, service was attentive and accurate. Food was fresh and delicious and came out quick. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. Lots of 2-4 person tables, along with bar seating and high chairs. The menu was large and had plenty of options. Prices are moderate.
A cute hidden gem inside Stanley Marketplace! We typically usually always go to an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, but Misaki is definitely more quality over quantity! The portion size of fish was nice in comparison to rice (not a crazy amount or more rice than fish). Everything tasted fresh and delicious! Especially the Uni which is surprising because most places don't serve it or they are very bad quality. Our favorites were the vegetable tempura and nigiri. Least favs was the chicken karaage as some pieces were undercooked and chewy. The spider roll (soft crab) was a unique try but we couldn't get on board with the sweet taste and the basil that was inside. Overall, we will be back as it's one of the nicer sushi restaurant in Central Park without having to go downtown or to Aurora!
Misaki looks like a place that is very well known . Love the location , in the heart of everything . The organized chaos in the design is so awesome . I did see buttons at majority of the tables , in which takes me back to the days I visited Japan. Because the waiters or waitresses would not come up to the take unless you hit the button out of sign of respecting your space. Nonetheless they were super nice and attentive, I will say they seemed a bit short handed but it was ok. The sushi was really good ... loved the edemame and the veggie rolls ... We got the rainbow roll , lobsters , and 2 others Love it here , will come back
The food was amazing. So much different varieties of sushi. The service was great as well took a little while like 15-20 mins but I was nice the ambiance felt like I was in Japan. Beautiful

This place is in the Stanley warehouse. The food was good but our server was horrible! I think he may have been new. There were so many times when his fellow servers had to step in to take care of us. Maybe it's a different thought process of having sushi. In Alaska we are given a small salad, cup of miso soup and a large cup of soybeans. Everything was extra $. The rolls were good. We had the Misaki roll and the ?coconut? roll with cooked salmon. My daughter ordered the coconut roll, I wasn't a fan of it. I'm a salmon snob, though. I would definitely recommend this place! It's like eating on a street corner but you're in a warehouse. I'd like to give this place a 3.5 rating, but can't do that. Service was okay, nothing special. Sushi was fresh. Salmon nigiri was super yummy, no complaints there. I personally wouldn't get the spicy poke again. Loved the flavors in the firecracker roll but it was huge! Basically have to do two or more bites per piece. I was hoping the Misaki roll would be better, since it is their name. Our favorite was probably the mango delight! read more

Just landed in Denver and was looking something close to eat near our hotel. So I decided to stop by Stanley Marketplace since I have been in this area before. After walking in the front door, my brother and I saw a lot of people sitting around the tables here. There was a menu podium to look at before you decide to eat there or not. Which was a great touch to know what were the entrees and specials for that day/night. We decided to eat there and the service was friendly but was a bit on the busy side so it was a bit hard to get attention from the staff to be seated and to wait us. We had gotten a bar side table and gotten served water right away. We ordered Tuna Nigiri-5/5 Yellowtail Nigiri-5/5 Smoked Salmon Nigiri-5/5 Nova Lox Salmon Roll-4/5 Salmon Avocado Roll-5/5 Firecracker Roll-4/5 Chicken Kaarage-5/5 Baked Mussels-4/5 Overall, everything was delicious and fresh and rice portion for good for all the sushi. Great umami flavor for the mussels and piping hot and same with the kaarage. Crispy and citrusy with the lemon and the dipping sauce. Only thing was the pricing was a little bit steep but the bar side of the sushi chefs and lantern lights above gave it a bit of a Japanese ambiance that definitely made of for it. read more

Had a great lunch here, its priced reasonably and the two rolls were really delicious. The firecracker roll had a tiny bit of crispy bits on the outside of the rice which made it so tasty, plus was the perfect amount of spicy. Service was quick but it also had JUST opened up. I wouod for sure come back and try other rolls. read more
I think this place is great for rolls. We really liked the Misaki roll as it was delicious and has a great combination of everything in there. The Ponzu sauce was a nice touch. As far as the nigiri, the fish cut was pretty good but some pieces weren't cut out well. Saw some kind of ziczac pattern on the fish piece as if the knife wasn't sharp enough. The taste of the nigiri was good but we preferred the roll. The app calamari was yummy. The Amaebi wasn't fresh as expected as the texture was a bit mushy and we could tell when taking off the shrimp from the tail. Service - fast paced and friendly. Good sushi choice there. Who knew such a great place could be found in Aurora of all places? Next to an abandoned field (they're calling it a park) and a construction site to boot! I do not live close to Stanley Marketplace, but if I did I'd be a weekly visitor. Misaki would be part of the weekly rotation. Prices were great and the food was good. The only reason I'm not giving 5-stars is because the service was very rushed. My gf and I were there in the later part of a Sunday afternoon , so not a lot of buzz yet. A couple of restaurants were already closed. There were only 3 other tables in use and about a dozen or so empty. But the server was constantly checking in and asking if we wanted to order more. And they dropped the check without me asking. I was only halfway through my order and had just got my second beer. But this won't stop me from coming back. Just a heads up... read more

This is probably my new favorite sushi spot, it never disappoints. It's some of the freshest sushi I've had in Denver. I also absolutely love the spicy edamame too! The service is always great and friendly. read more

Limited menu, open ambiance, and friendly staff. Their menu is pretty limited. You've been warned. I judge sushi places by their salmon sushi and this place was just ok. As you can see in the photo, the salmon has little to no fat marbling and it was very cold like they had it in the freezer. The good: their toro was delicious! The freshwater eel was good too although I don't really consider that sushi and typically don't order it. The (kinda) bad: salmon skin hand rolls weren't on their menu but they said they can make them. There was too much greenery in it and had a strong parsley taste. The ugly: ok, nothing is ugly here but had to keep to the theme. read more

The best sushi I've had in Denver! The flavors are so interesting - they mix citrus, sweet, spicy, tangy tastes into an amazing flavor bomb of a sushi roll. My boyfriend visited this place on a whim during a conference he was having close by and hasn't stopped raving about it since. He sat and the bar and met one of the owners who took great care of his meal and explained how they source the freshest fish. He had an amazing experience and talks about it all the time. I FINALLY went with two girlfriends yesterday. We started with the crab rangoon and do I dare to say again that it was the BEST crab rangoon I've ever had. There were tiny bits of jalapeno chopped into the cream cheese, adding just a tiny bit of spice. Even the sweet/sour sauce was better than most I've ever had. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs (the rolls are BIG here) and we got six rolls: Caterpiller, Misaki, Orange Lion, Stanley, Tropical Coconut, and Dragon. My personal favorite was the Stanley and Misaki rolls - the tuna was perfect - great texture and amazing flavor. The girls loved the Dragon Roll - the addition of the strawberry slices created an interesting and delicious sweet taste. The presentation and portion size of everything was great! To top it off, the service was seriously the best! Robert served us last night (he was the one my boyfriend had met when he visited the restaurant). He was friendly and very attentive. He remembered our names and checked on us regularly (but not too regularly as he knew we were catching up and celebrating friendship). He wasn't in a rush and took great pride in his restaurant and service. He was such a sweetheart! All three of us couldn't get over how delightful he was. I was a little hesitant about the seating arrangements because you sit outside the restaurant (which is more of a sushi counter than a restaurant) in the lobby of the Stanley Marketplace, but it was very pleasant. It wasn't overly loud and I didn't feel like I was in the way of shoppers. Plus, it was kind of fun people watching in the marketplace. I couldn't wait to go home to tell my boyfriend all about my experience and we have plans to go back very soon! Delicious! Delicious! A couple of drinks each and 6 speciality rolls left us with a $130 bill - not bad for a great experience, amazing food, and wonderful service. (Also, I had about a roll of leftovers to bring back to my fella.) read more

I remember being upset leaving misaki the First time I tried it . It was when they just opened about 3 years ago , boy has this restaurant stepped it up The location at Stanley mall is so beautiful that I couldn't resist to go back . And there it is , it's roughly my 5-6th time I've been back to misaki after my previous substandard experience , now and I've finally decided to give Misaki a review after receiving excellent sushi , and excellent service all 6 times . First and foremost , the location is absolutely perfect for date , hang out , family , bring out of Town people , when you're depressed , happy , whatever . You name it , the Stanley mall is perfect for a quick hang out if you're a foodie like me . It's surrounded with top of the line chef owned bakeries etc and you'd simply jist loce or being here wherever you're just strolling around or looking for really good food . Now , I'm really into sushi and I can tell you that the UNI and TORO which they almost served daily is as fresh as it can be in Colorado (which is hard to find ) . The menu here isn't super expensive but they offer really premium stuff so you can basically satisfy your premium sashimi her . 5 stars for fold , service and service *didn't like the tempura , but eve but everything else was divine read more

I have mixed feelings about Misaki. While the food was good, the service was horrendous. Upon arriving, I was greeted and my order was immediately taken. I was then seated at the sushi bar. Within a few minutes, I had my miso soup and salad. The miso soup was full of flavor, and the salad was pretty good. However, I had ordered a completely different salad from what they gave me. After waiting around 15 minutes, the waiter came by and asked me about my order. It was only then did I hear him tell the sushi chef about my sashimi order - the same order I had placed around 15 minutes prior. In total, it took around 20 minutes for me to get my sashimi, which is literally just sliced raw fish. After finishing the fish, I placed another order, this time for an avocado roll. This took 10 minutes. After I was finished, I got tired of waiting and had to ask for my check. read more
This place is pretty popular because the times I've been to this market so far it's pretty crowded during lunch and dinner. I haven't had sushi for a while and obviously sushi in Denver so this was actually my first experience having sushi in Denver. I really like the feel of this place because it's tiny and it reminded me of my trip in Japan a few years ago. I think it's pretty neat that you can be seated at the common area and they will still serve you because there's not a lot of seating in general in that general vicinity for the sushi. The staff is really friendly and the three sushi rolls that we ordered were good. My favorite was the misaki roll and it was just so flavorful. The shrimp tempura roll was very different from what I've had in the past, it had asparagus and tasted more leafy which is okay but I was looking for that shrimp tempura taste. Overall it was a good experienceso, I'm knocking off one star only because the service was a bit slow although I do understand that it can get kind of busy but we sat at the bar and one of the sushi chef in front of us didn't really acknowledge us.. again I do understand it was busy. read more

Allow me to preface this by saying Misaki is a wonderful place! We were met with great service and attentive servers. They were so nice to us by making sure we were well taken care of during lunch hour. The atmosphere of Misaki in the Stanley Marketplace is really great other than there being a lot of foot traffic. However, I do think the sushi is just okay. They have a great lunch combo that you can split with another person for $21 and it comes with 7 pieces of sashimi, one roll, and choice of soup or salad. It was a wonderful lunch but it isn't something I would go out of my way for. The rolls are fairly priced but they can add up quickly, which is why I think the lunch combo is a great deal to have standard pieces of sushi. We also tried the Japanese fried chicken and crab rangoons which were also just okay. If you're looking for a good sushi place, I think a stand-alone sushi restaurant would be a bit better than Misaki. read more

Average sushi place at a great location in Stanley Marketplace. Food: 3, Value: 3, Atmosphere: 4 Went here for takeout lunch at Stanley Marketplace. Got the Karachi, poke roll, and firecracker roll. The Karachi has a good light coating with tender chicken and a really tasty spicy mayo sauce with it. Not sure if it is worth $8 for the little bit you get, but it was tasty. The sushi was just okay. The fish and other ingredients were not particularly flavorful or fresh. The poke roll was not any better than grocery store sushi and the firecracker roll was not super crispy. Overall, food was okay, but would not go out of my way to get it. read more
Super cute mom and pop's place! My girl and I were hungry heading to the airport and wanted to stop to get sushi. Found this place on yelp and it definitely did not disappoint. The cute couple who ran the place was very nice and really know their stuff. We ordered a few different things to share and everything was very fresh and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the nice pleasant service. The only thing is, it's kind of in an open area, not really an enclosed restaurant and so if people are walking by talking loudly, it's a bit disturbing. Parking wasn't bad in the lot, bathroom is a bit of a walk from the restaurant. read more
They're still open for curbside pickup! Ordered dinner from here and got the following: Baked mussels: sweet sauce, spicy mayo, crunchies. Mussels were cooked well, maybe less chewy if we had eaten it immediately? Still delicious Tuna maki- my kid at all of it Poke roll- also fine Rainbow roll- fish was fresh and my hubs at it all. Good stuff, for a second I thought I was transported to Japan, that's how authentic this place looks! When we went to Tokyo and Osaka we passed by many places that had the small, quaint neighborhood look of Misaki however was a bit intimidated by the language barrier and not being able to read the language. But now there's Stanley Marketplace which was in dire need of a sushi joint. You go up, order, get a number and they bring you your food, nothing wrong with that. I ordered the Spicy Poke Roll and Stanley Roll, both delicious in their own way with generous portions. Along with the rolls, they offer nigiri and sashimi so there's something for every fish lover. The house salad was excellent and a nice portion, easily enough for two people. My only complaint was that the food took forever to come out, like foreeeever, only made worse since I was hangry. Our friends food took so long that the employers offered them a beer, kanpai indeed! But the attentiveness and friendliness made me forget about food for awhile. I will definitely come back again to Misaki and hopefully it will be a smoother process with getting food. If that happened and they put in a standing sushi bar, my dreams would come true! Also, get the matcha sake, it is life changing. read more
Being the Stanley Marketplace fangirl that I am (#noshame) I was super excited to hear about a sushi addition to it's already excellent dinning options. So I made my way to Misaki today for a little lunch time sushi fix! ++ LOVE the look! Great lanterns hang over the sushi bar. While there's not a lot of space - they maximize what they have. It really looks like Misaki was pulled off the street in Japan and dropped in Stanley Marketplace. ++ The staff is so friendly! The gentleman that was assisting me was super friendly and helpful. He offered to answer any questions I had about the menu and even offered his preference on draft vs bottled Sapporo. ++ OMG the sushi! Literally the best California roll I have had to date. I also noshed on the Dragon Ball roll from the chef's special menu. Shrimp tempura, imitation crab mix, unagi, avocado, and strawberries. Killer good and so unique! Don't skip the appetizer! The gyoza is simply delicious! ++ No seating available? No problem! There's tons of seating throughout the Marketplace. They'll serve up your items in to-go containers and you can grab a seat wherever you choose! Yay! ++ The prices were on point for both the quality and the amount of deliciousness that you get!! Definitely worth it. Two thumbs WAAAY up for Stanley Marketplace's latest addition Misaki!! I know I will be back!! read more

Still a fan of you Misaki. I went here with my friend for Lunch this time around on a Tuesday. Time was about 12:10hrs ish. We managed to grab one of the last seats the same place where I sat from my previous review. We are given complimentary Hot Tea and Miso soup that afternoon. This time around I ordered the following items : * Uni ($11) * Karaage ($8) * Snow Crab ($7) * Spicy Poke ($7) * Maguro Tataki aka Seared Tuna ($5) * Masago ($4) * Tamago ($4) The Karaage comes out piping hot from the fryer. Good in my books when they cook the items to order. For my lunch, I do not really fancy my order of Spicy Poke. It was not what I expecting or hoping for. Hence I would not order the Spicy Poke the next time around. My friend, some of her order, comes from the Special Menu they had that afternoon. If I am not mistaken it was the Ankimo. Thankfully this Ankimo is NOT fishy at all and it is very tasty. My friend also order several Nigiri and sashimi. We enjoyed our Lunch at Misaki. Thank you Misaki. We shall see you soon. read more
Seeking to relieve myself of serious food envy after my husband came back from a business trip in SF and reported that our favorite sushi place there was still as good as he remembered, I suggested that we check out this new sushi place near Stapleton after we finished some errands. On this particular Saturday afternoon at prime lunchtime, there was no wait and plentiful seating. We were given ample time by our server to peruse the menu and to relax while waiting for our food. It worked out well, because the location is a perfect perch for people watching at Stanley Marketplace. As for the food itself, Misaki is a wonderful option for fresh nigiri. We had amaebi (complete with fried shrimp heads), scallop, mackerel, salmon, seared tuna, tamago nigiri. It was all melt-in-your-mouth wonderful. The scallop nigiri is not topped with a slice of scallop as I expected-- rather, it was scallop pieces mixed in mayo. We also ordered the Salmon Tartare roll to fill our tummies. It was decent, but I would recommend sticking to the nigiri if cost isn't a consideration. And just like that, my food envy is gone. Mission accomplished. read more

Misaki is a food court style sushi eatery located in the trendy Stanley Marketplace. What really caught my attention were the fun and unique bicycle tables and the variety in the menu. I ordered the seaweed salad, an assortment of sashimi and the Udon Noodle soup with tempura... all was excellent! A must try if you find yourself at the Stanley Marketplace. read more
