He did the inspection on my first home and missed a gas leak. I was so nervous about purchasing my first house, I paid the extra fee to have a more thorough inspection just in case. The city came to turn it on, which is when I was told there was a leak and the gas couldn't be turned on until it was fixed. I called Scott and he said he did the "smell test" which prompted him against doing the pressure test so he wasn't financially responsible. Additionally, he said he is "in between companies" (whatever that means) so the inspection is not covered under warranty. Now my five-year-old son and I are living in a gas-less house while I am trying to get it fixed. I truly put my trust in Scott, and he seemed so nice and professional, but I'm admitting it was just a front. Please don't add the stress on yourself of dealing with Scott during an already stressful time. From my experience with him, he lacks quality work and doesn't seem to know how to take responsibility. Buyer beware.

I've worked with many people recently as part of our remodel and this kind of service is hard to get these days so I'm pleasantly surprised at the lengths they went through to make me happy. The closet had so much stuff in it you couldn't even walk into it. We had Elizabeth from Clositivity out to look the closet. She immediately set to work on 5 possible options for us. One of them was perfect and we decided to go ahead and commit to it. We chose a "hanging" shelf system. It sits 18" off the floor and is secured by special steel bands. There's still room on the floor under the unit to store larger items and it's easy to walk in the closet with the unit off the floor. The turn around time was quick, and before we knew it Terry & his crew were at the door ready to demo and install. All we needed to provide was paint for the areas that were patched up. It turned out amazing! After they left we kept going into the office to stare at it. The quality and workmanship is superb. We should have done this years ago. We have Elizabeth coming out again this week to check out the master bedroom closet. We feel the added value to our home is an extra benefit over and above the benefit that comes from a significant amount of extra storage.

It's much more spacious than their old Arboretum store and they had such wonderful new home items. We are redoing a midcentury ranch home near the lake and have been unable to find a suitable piece of furniture for the TV to go on in the bedroom. My mom walked in and instantly found the piece she had in her mind all this time. We also found some really nice silk palms and a leather ottoman to finish out the room. As it turns out, the piece of furniture was too big to fit in a Suburban so we had to grab a U-Haul. It was near closing time, but Scott (the Scott in Heather Scott Home) told us he would gladly wait for us to return and help load it. We were really concerned about getting such a large piece of furniture out of the trailer once we got to the lake but the way Scott secured it and positioned it we were able to get it on a furniture dolly and inside in the blink of an eye. Everything we bought was perfect! It totally modernized the space while keeping within the mid century ranch vibe. The girls at the store also offered vendor information for the company who stained their concrete and called me a few days later with information on a Benjamin Moore paint color that I was interested in. I could not believe how helpful Scott and the salesgirls were. This was a great customer service experience and we are super happy with all of our purchases. I will definitely be back the next time I need something for my home.

My partner and I recently bought a custom home in Round Rock and was connected through High Tech Flooring and Design to look at the different options and upgrades that we could include the house. The representative was super nice and supportive in helping us pick our our design and going through all the options to have available. In the sense, we also felt compelled to upgrade both the carpet and Padding, specifically the spill guard and upgraded carpet pile lengths. After 2 months later, and closing on the house, we noticed one of our floor was really squeaky and had to pull up the carpet to make sure we can drill it in.... and upon inspection, we realized what was installed was not the correct padding or carpet length. (Pictures displayed between sample and our carpet padding.) Spillguard is on the left (what we ordered). WE would not have known if we didn't have to also fix the squeaky floors - It's been difficult to get them to verify the correct padding, and getting a response from the office on how we can get it resolved. We brought it up, and requested that they bring in movers to help move the furniture and replace it, we're still in the process. They also had movers who wouldn't move back everything as requested - which made it difficult since my partner just had surgery on a torn ACL which meant we still had to request friends to support for something the company did wrong. They would also not verify the correct carpet that we upgraded. At this point, we believe this may have been an intentional intent to help save the company money. I believe they were banking that the new home builders would not have checked on the material that they purchased to help save on costs. MY recommendation - For anyone ordering carpet from High Tech Flooring, make sure you have proper documentation and verify when they are installing to ensure the correct flooring during the process.
