Had an appointment set more than 2 weeks out for a $440 service to do everything. Ceramic, wash, wax, interior. They decided to pull up on the side of the house, and send a text which was never seen. Waited out of sight on the side of my house and then canceled the appointment 20 minutes later instead of knocking on the door or even calling the phone. Next available appointment is another 2 weeks away. I respect people's time a great deal, so it's unfortunate time was lost, but being dodgy and avoiding knocking on a door when people ready to receive them and open the garage for them is sad. I'm not in the habit of leaving a prized possession in the driveway. He decided to just cancel the appointment without properly notifying me of arrival, and moved appointments up from tomorrow, instead of working tomorrow or asking to reschedule to that, he decided it was a family day now. This business does not notify you of them being at the worksite, and they don't care about their customers because if they did they would knock. Or call. Or light a fire and use a blanket to smoke signal. I can not recommend this business as they don't respect or value their customers time, and since they have plenty of customers available, they blow off whoever lands on the day (scheduled week out) that they want to take off, or easy jobs. read more

Douglas is my go to guy for detailing. The pictures he puts on his site dont do his work justice. He does an incredible job. Some people may think he take long to detail a car but he will leave that car without a spec of dirt. He cleans the places you never knew got dirty. He is extremely passionate about the work he does. I've recommended him to my co workers and he's always early to the appointments. read more

Let me start by saying I have an 8 year old Toyota Corolla that hasn't been detailed in way too long. I was able to quickly make an appointment online for the weekend and I was thrilled. I paid a little extra for my seats to be steamed and Douglas did magic in my car. He worked well beyond the quoted 2.5 hours and I was thankful for the hard work that he put into getting my car back in shape. I highly recommend Douglas and his team! read more

I previously wrote an excellent review for this business. In my first experience with them, they were responsive, professional, and did a great job. However, when I attempted to contact them to use their services again--through multiple attempts through Yelp, their website, and through email--I got zero responses. I requested an appointment that was listed as being open on their website and got no response (despite my reaching out to confirm) and then no one showed up at the requested date and time. Not sure how you expect a business to grow or thrive if you don't respond to requests from customers. We unfortunately had to get our car detailed elsewhere. read more

I couldn't be happier with the work that Douglas did on my vehicle! He made my Range Rover Sport look like it belongs on the showroom floor! My SUV is under a year old, but it has a bunch of scratches and swirls from parking in the city and from cheap car washes. I purchased the Mirror Detail package and he got essentially all of them out- my car is literally shining. I also have a dog who I take to work with me daily, so you can imagine the amount of pet hair that was in the car. All of it-COMPLETELY GONE! And he didn't even charge me extra for that part. All in all, Douglas spent over 6 hours taking pristine care of my car. Again, no extra charge for the extra time and labor. In fact, he gave me a special resident discount! And he came directly to me-I didn't have to drop my car off anywhere! Just amazing quality and service. I am so glad Douglas was recommended to me. I had been researching other detailing places in and just outside of Boston and I either found them to be incredibly overpriced (or worse not transparent about their pricing). I was rather surprised to see that a couple other detailing places did not list prices on their websites, so was pleased and relieved to find Mirror Image and know exactly what the pricing would be and for which services. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Mirror Image Mobile Detailing (and I am a picky customer!) and will be telling all my friends and neighbors to give Douglas and his team a try as well! I will be a return customer for sure. :-) read more

Douglas did a tremendous job on my 2015 Lexus GS 350F. I had brought the car back with me from California about 6 months ago. While living in California - I would get regular car washes, mostly once every 10 days. When I moved back to Boston, I couldn't find a car wash that could match the job done out west. Therefore, I figured this would be a good time for a first detail and I was lucky to choose MIM Detailing. They came right to my building and got to work and did a tremendous job from the wax, the paint sealing, the tires, and everything on the inside. I know it sounds cliche, but it really feels like I got into a new car once Douglas was finished. I couldn't recommend him any more for the job he did on my car. read more

Douglas did an incredible job detailing my car. He was very responsive, punctual, and a perfectionist. He clearly takes a lot of pride in his work, which shows in the time and effort as well as the results. read more

Douglas did a great job! Our initial communication was not very good due to him being busy with an auto show, which I totally understand. He generously offered a discount for the initial delay in communication to show his care and respect for his clients, which definitely meant more to me than the amount he took off of my bill. Most importantly, he took his work very seriously. Having quoted a 2-1/2 to 3-hour job, he spent whopping 5 hours on our car, and of course with no extra charge. When we got the call and went into the garage to check out the car, I was really really satisfied with the results. The car must have been unwashed for like a couple of months at least, yet Douglas restored it to, what looks to me, a showroom level. I would rate it as ready-for-sale condition, and this was only a basic wash/wax package. I can't imagine how good the car would look if you go with a higher-level package, e.g. wash/polish/wax. Once again, what's more important here than the amazing result is Douglas' attitude toward his work. He did not rush it or merely fulfill his quoted working time, but he went above and beyond to make sure his job is done right. In summary, I would in a heartbeat call for his service the next time we need a detail again. The convenience of mobile detailing, together with his care for his customers and his respectful working ethics, tells me that I probably cannot find another detailer in this area that will make me even more satisfied than I am right now. If you are in need of a deep cleaning on your vehicle right now, I see no reason not to give this great detailer a try. Best wishes to your business in the future @Douglas. read more

Unbelievably good job was done on my SUV. I've NEVER had that car detailed and it was not pretty. When I picked it up I was seriously speechless. He noticed that there were a lot of scratches on it so he called me to ask if I had time for him to wax it TWICE. I'm not exaggerating this company does a phenomenal job with your car. There are areas of my car that I expected to never get clean and they are. Like the air vents, the small spaces in-between the seat and center console. Additionally, the customer service is great. If you don't have electrical or water outside your place then you can arrange to meet him during one of his "events" so that you don't have to pay extra. He'll even find you a ride home and back if you want. Anyway, can't recommend them enough. read more

There was some scheduling confusion initially but Douglas wanted to make sure I received the service I requested and made time to fit me in on short notice. Him and his partner showed up to my house and got right to work. The car looks amazing! I am turning the car in because it is at the end of it's lease (and want to ensure it looks nice in hopes of avoiding any charges), but I kind of want to keep it now because it looks so good. I included some pictures so you can evaluate the job yourself. I would definitely recommend MIMD. Working with them is easy and convenient. They come to you and leave you with an amazingly clean car. Long story short, they were a no-show. I made the appt request almost two weeks prior. I got a confirmation text the night before. I then gave them the details the morning-of and no reply. I send multiple texts, called, and left a voicemail. I then got my car cleaned a detailed for MUCH CHEAPER last minute at Magic Touch in the Dartmouth St Garage. They validate your parking ticket so you only pay $5 for that in addition. They did an excellent job. I would recommend just going there than trying to schedule a vague appt that then is confirmed just to have them no-show. read more

Mirror Image came down to my apartment and immediately got to work on detailing my car. From the start you could tell this was a legitimate business and the rep was very professional. By the end of the service, I was 100% satisfied with the job and the price is very reasonable. The rep from Mirror Image was a cool guy and helped throw in some extra services since it was my first time with them. All in all, I highly recommend this service! read more

Douglas is awesome. A great value and he is a real perfectionist. My car had not been detailed in years and I have 2 kids that had left it a mess. Made an appointment request online, no call, no show. They made no attempt to contact or follow up, unreliable.

I called them because they were running late, they said they had issues getting the water for the service. I was okay with it thinking they would still show up. I am usually lenient with delays but 2 h and 15 min later they still haven't showed up nor called to give notice. Very disappointed and the least they can do is give a call as a sign of respect for the client who is waiting and giving up his/her time for them. 0 consideration! read more

Be it an expensive super car, to a compact car, he treats them all with the same care and love. Douglas and his team did a fantastic interior detail job on our three cars. He came out to the west suburbs around mid-day and finished as the sun was setting. Impressed by the 5-star reviews, I tried to contact Mirror Image. And tried, and tried, and tried..... I called and left detailed messages nearly every day for 2 weeks. No answer, no call-back, no nothing. No "I'm on vacation" message either, so I have to believe that they're still working. So...what to do about this unbelievably negative experience in "customer service"? I give them the benefit of the doubt and allow them the 5 stars that the "chosen few" customers have awarded them. But I give them 0 stars for having no customer service worthy of a commercial business. Roughly average that up to 2.0, for a business service that doesn't seem to be available to the general public. read more

We had our car detailed this weekend and it literally looks brand new. Despite some setbacks with the weather, Douglas was very accomodating in finding a solution to make sure we could get it cleaned this weekend - even working on a day that he wasn't otherwise scheduled to work to make sure it could get done. We have two toddlers who basically spraypainted the inside of our car with goldfish crackers and milk stains, and he was able to get it all out. I'd most definitely work with him again, and highly recommend his services. read more

We couldn't be happier with Douglas and his team. From beginning to end, this company was a pleasure to do business with. Douglas responded quickly when we asked for an estimate and were ready to make an appointment. He kept the lines of communication open as we had additional questions/requests and needed to make a few changes. He was on time, professional and most importantly, did a FANTASTIC job on a Ford Edge that hadn't been cleaned (inside or out) in probably a year. They worked diligently for 4 hours and were meticulous in what they cleaned and how they cleaned it. We have a Nissan Versa that could also use some TLC and we will be sure to call Mirror Image Mobile Detailing when it's time. read more

Mirror image did such a great job on my boyfriend's Honda Pilot. They took their time and cleaned every nook and gap. Well worth the price.

Doug did a terrific job detailing my 2014 Acura RLX, which I purchased a year ago. It was my first detail and I scheduled Doug for this past Saturday. He decided to come on Sunday, as it was going to rain Saturday night, so I would be able to enjoy the detail longer. He spent about 5hrs and did not finish up until about 7:30 in the dark, literally using his cell phone flash light to make sure he didn't miss any spots. He steam cleaned the interior to remove some stains he saw, which wasn't part of the package and at no extra charge. He also did a clay bar waxing to remove insects and then applied two coats of wax. My car wasn't this clean inside or out when I drove it out of the Acura dealership! I was very happy with the results, how long he worked on my car in the cold, and his professionalism. I've referred him to a number of friends and family already, and will be using him again after the winter. read more

This is the most unprofessional business I have encountered to date. Although very limited, I was sold on good reviews (now I question if some are real customers). I went online and scheduled auto detailing for my SUV. I live in Winchester, MA (less than 10 miles from downtown Boston) and my address was specified clearly in the scheduling request. They responded on Monday stating that we are all set, and they asked if I have water and electricity at the location, and I confirmed that I did. With their confirmation, I took time off from work to get the detailing done at my house. On the day of the job, they called and said we are outside their area of service, and cancelled the job. I sent a follow-up email asking for an explanation for this unprofessional behavior. This is what I got, "we don't service Winchester unless requested by the client in advance and approved by us, based on the address provided it is a 26 miles drive with traffic on 95 that puts us at over a hour. If you would like to schedule and pay the out of service fee stated on our website and yelp, we can most definitely try to work with you." Guess what, I requested in advance, and you approved the address and time. Not only they are not apologizing and trying to make up to the customer for their failure to schedule, they are asking for money. This is not a reliable business, they do not care about their customers, they offer lower prices to attract people, and have no interest to build loyalty. These are all against a good business model. I would definitely not recommend them. read more

Amazing job with the detail!! I walked out to see my car and didn't recognize it because it was so clean. I honestly thought my car was dark blue, only to see it was actually black. Having done outside sales for three years, I lived out of my car and it showed. I had stains on my back leather seats that I was told would never come out and a collection of dirt under the seats I thought could only be addressed if the seats were taken out. Mirror Image was able to address all these issues and make my car look (almost) brand new! And 2 weeks after getting it detailed, it still has that great new car smell. I've recommended this service to everyone on my team at work! read more
