This is my first time getting a full car detail (interior and exterior). Matt was the one that did my service at Emerson Garage, and his services are beyond exceptional! He informed me everything of what he will be doing, the estimated time he will be done, and any concerns I may have such as scratches that I'd like to buff out. His services were very thorough, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to get a deep clean of their vehicle. There are other locations in the Boston area including a mobile detailing service. I had my car detailed today and I am super impressed with everything that was done to my car. I messaged them literally yesterday evening and within minutes the owner responded and said that I could drop it off the next day. I live in NH and was only scheduled to work in the city the next day so it worked out perfectly. I dropped my car off, paid and was told I'd get a call in a couple hours when it was finished. I could not be more impressed with the condition of my car. I wish I had before pictures to demonstrate how awful it was before and how amazing it looked after. Their advertising practices leave a lot to be desired. I've seen them post a sign for car washing in the local dog park of Emerson apartments, and the guy who posted it watched his dog take a dump and didn't clean it up. (There are bags right there in the park.) Come on, man! In the Emerson parking garage, when they leave a card for their services on your windshield, if you have a dirty back windshield, they'll write "Clean Me" backwards so that you can see it in your rear view mirror. I'm sorry, but don't touch my car, please. You don't even take care of your dog's poop. Why on earth would I trust my dirty car with you? Needless to say, we had our car washed in Somerville for $14. EDIT: Hi Kevin, Thanks for responding. Yes, I'm writing a review to complain about a representative from your company watching his dog poop, then not cleaning it up. It's a bit counterproductive to advertise your services in this way. I think my review was pretty clear about the scope of my experience with your company. Kevin (the owner) responded to my email request within 48 hours and was able to connect me with Matt who did my cleaning on Saturday at the Binney St garage. From start to finish, Matt was a stand up guy and really took the time to explain what I could expect from the full interior & exterior detailing he would do. I came back a few hours later to a pristine Tacoma that looks and smells better than when I first purchased it. I will definitely be coming back to Car Care for any future details and washes, they did an incredible job! Update: I emailed to complain and received a prompt apology and offer of free service to make up for it. I'm not in Boston regularly so I declined, but it's a better response than I expected. Added one star to acknowledge this. I've never used Car Care for car detailing, and now I never will. While parked in Cambridge on Sunday, someone jammed a flyer advertising Car Care in my driver's side window in such a way that the flyer ripped off, leaving just the corner wedged in, ripped almost level with the edge of the window. It was impossible to remove the corner of the flyer by hand, so I had to wait until I got home to fish it out with tools, and remember not to roll my window down in the meantime. Why would I ever trust my car to a company that thinks this is an acceptable advertising practice? read more

I used a Groupon here: $49 for a wash, includes interior and a hand wax. I called and scheduled a wash for a weekday, got to the Longfellow Garage --- be aware, it's sort of a cluster around that area. Got in, parked, gave the guy my info and he said it would take about 2-2.5 hours, I figure, ok, great, can run some errands in the N. End and grab some lunch. Maybe it's just me, or a West Coast thing, but I'm not used to dropping my car off in a parking garage to get washed -- but ok, whatever, I can adapt. But I am a little irritated that they didn't say on the site that they didn't have an undercarriage wash since I was trying to get the salt off from the freak Halloween storm. Anyway, so I leave and about 45 mins later they call and say that the car was done! ok awesome if I could get back there, but I was in the middle of things.. so I ask if I can get there in about an hour and they said sure, but "not sure if I'll be here" me: "uh... ok, I guess I'll call you when I'm headed back?" him: "ok sure" so as I was headed back I called, no answer. I get to the garage and can't find the car wash guys, I see my car, but no keys. The guy at the kiosk points me to the lower part of the garage and I walk, WAAAAAY the hell to the back where the dudes are working. OF COURSE they didn't answer, there's no reception down there! The corner, as the other reviewer, Daniel, described, was poorly lighted and just sketchy in general. I mean, I feel bad for those guys who have to work down there, but seriously, that is just no place to run a carwash! Maybe it's convenient for the people who live in the fancy apartments next door or for people who work and use the garage -- but for me to get there and then have to track down the guys to get my key was no way to operate a business. Ok to be fair, and why I added the other star was that the car was clean and waxed. But the guys left their clipboard in my car and there was no way I was gonna walk all the way back to that corner in the sketchy garage so I left it by one of their signs. Horrible, unprofessional service. Look elsewhere if you don't want to waste your time & money. 1. Booked an appointment after getting a voucher through Amazon local. When I showed up for my appt, nobody was there & the place had closed early as "business was slow", from what the parking attendant said. Called to complain, & Christine mentioned that they'd cover the parking fees when I rescheduled. 2. I go back for my rescheduled appointment & Kevin tells me that they'll be open until 3, so I can go pick it up any time until then & someone would be there. I go there at 2:45, everyone has left, & my car is left unlocked with the keys inside, so anyone could have gone and driven off in it. 3. On my way out, no parking voucher anywhere, I had to pay for the parking myself, after calling the owner and explaining the situation. 4. Degree of cleanliness moderate at best. Save your time & money and look for more professional detailing services. read more

To Car Care's credit, they called me and re-cleaned my car. At the same time, their response to my BBB complaint attempted to make it sound like it was my fault that they did not clean the car. My view is that if a company accepts your car, asks for your keys, and tells you the details of the cost, and to expect a phone call to pick it up after they are done, that is interpreted as they will priovde the service. If that service is was not done, that is in no way the customer's fault. The result is that Car Care cleaned my car after my BBB complain and Yelp review. read more

BEWARE! This was the worst car service experience of my life. I used a BuyWithMe coupon to have my car detailed, and when I returned to pick up my car the employee told me I had to pay extra since I had rescheduled my appointment from the previous day. I called the owner and told him I had never been informed of a rescheduling fee, but he stuck to his guns and would not allow his employee to release my car until I paid up. He told me he would come by the garage to discuss this with me, but after 15 minutes he had not arrived. When I called him again, he told me he was driving in to Boston and would arrive 45 minutes later. Of course he failed to mention that "coming by to speak with me" would require me to wait around for an hour. In the end, he extorted an additional $20 out of me to get my car back, but not before requiring me to promise I would not file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The quality of the detail job was about a C+. STAY AWAY. read more

I always saw the signs and this week decided my car needs to get clean. I've never had my car detailed before. My mats were disgusting. But they did a good job. The guy even found my credit card I lost a long time ago and held onto it. I would give him 5 stars just for that. But my car is clean, my dash is no longer dusty and my coffee stained seats are, well, permanently stained from 4 years of daily coffee spills but looks much better than before! read more

I had the car done on 5/19 at my office in Burlington, it was offered (and still is, much to my dismay) through the building property management. Seemed like a great idea, and I'm still all for it - but not with this company. First, I got zero instruction on where they are, where to drop the car, what the procedure was, etc. My appt was at 8 am so I spent 10 minutes trying to figure it out. I called the office and they texted me the guys number on site to have ME reach out to HIM and find out where he is and what I should do. Why was I the one figuring this out? I'm not a wizard. Dropped the car and he wrote all of my credit card info on a piece of paper - name, number, expiration, security code, etc. Not exactly a "safe" feeling. Get a Square account to run cards so people aren't worried about a piece of paper getting lost with all their billing info on it. I picked the $119 small SUV package that was to include a full wash, vacuum (including the hatch area, which I was told was precisely the reason it was more money because they don't do trunks of cars, so it was $20 more to do the hatch area of a small SUV), washing all windows inside and out, seats, doors, etc. Nothing was really done. All the dash was still dusty along with the console and door molding/arm rests, not washed or wiped down. No interior window cleaning (tons of suction cup marks still all over the inside of the windshield), the back was not vacuumed out (leaves and pine needles) and when I said that, he told me that wasn't included. I told him I was specifically told on the phone that the small SUVS are more exactly because that vacuuming is included. Walking around the car, there was still bird crap present, there was NO wax applied. All I could see that they did was wet my floor mats, vacuum the floor mats (maybe? Shook them out at least), vacuumed the front floors underneath to get sand out, hose down the car (not washed), and apply the tire shine. They had my car for 8 hours - I called down around 1 to see if I could get it back to run errands or get lunch, no answer at all, no return to a text message. I was told I wouldn't be charged (because nothing was done) and I was. I called the office and got a refund issued without too much trouble. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Sleezy! My wife got me their service as a gift. Was a bit of a pain to schedule, but that was fine. I was told any of 4 locations were OK, and that I could drop my car off before work, and pick it up after work once the detailing was done, and that there would be no incremental charge. I scheduled the work at Longfellow garage, and after arriving I could not find them. It turned out they were in an area of the garage that's exclusively for monthly pass holders, and I needed someone to let me in. It took 30 minutes to sort out. I was also told they would leave a pass for me to get out of the garage, so that I wouldn't have to pay $50 for parking. A few hours later I received a text message saying the work was done, but they decided they could not leave me a pass, so I would have to pay $50 for parking. I left the owner a voicemail and sent an email, and got no response. Larry the technician was very nice -- the issue is with ownership. Don't waste your time with these guys. Seems like a poorly run, dishonest company. read more

I'm a little behind, but I have had this on my to do list for a while... I had my Ford Explorer detailed in October & it was worth every penny. I was 36 weeks pregnant & sick all the time - often in my SUV - and could not physically clean my car out myself. I asked friends on Facebook & this company came very highly recommended. I was able to have my vehicle picked up at my home & brought back to me - in far better condition than when it left. For example, morning (afternoon, evening) sickness was wreaking havoc on my life & often, my driver's side door. I had spilled many a beverage, red Gatorade & a large iced coffee being the last 2 to push me over the edge of "I should look into getting my car cleaned" to "OMG - what am I going to do about my passenger seat (SOAKED with a large Marylou's iced)?!?!" Chris picked my car up very early in the morning, drove it to the Longwood location & returned my car within 6 hours. It was beautiful. It was clean. It was amazing. Anything I left in the vehicle that wasn't obviously trash, was bagged up & put into my trunk for me to check it's importance. I am due for a follow up in April & will be booking again. I paid $200+ for my SUV & was given a voucher for another detail for $99. I would have paid full price for the service anyway, this was an added bonus. read more

I own a 2012 GMC Arcadia Denali that was really dirty. We had been using it for construction and it was covered with mud, dust all in the inside, straw from erosion control and so forth. I am extremely disappointed. For the past two weeks in a row I have had an appointment to have my car detailed, and for the past two weeks no one has showed up for my appointment time (even though I confirmed yesterday at everything was still a go for today). I sent an email and called this morning asking if something happened if my appointment was post poned again and have received no response. I can't comment on their service but I certainly will not attempt to make another appointment, and will tell my friends to avoid them as well. read more

I had the same experience as others have mentioned before. I purchased a Buywithme coupon and visited the Longfellow location near Gov. Center. I had an appointment at 8am, so I showed up 5 minutes early. But had no idea where I was supposed to go as there were no business signs. Called the number provided, no answer. Took until 8:15 for some one to call me back. Finally somebody shows up at the public parking garage entrance and lets me in (not the gate employee, so don't bother asking that person). They directed me to go to the lower part of the garage where all I saw was a guy sitting at a broken down office desk in a dimly-lit corner. My immediate thought was that this is definitely not a professional service. I asked them what type of cleaning they would do for my car, and it was basically a wash, wax, and interior clean. (The lowest package they offered.) So much for $100 dollar value. I could have done the same for $20 and 2 hours of my time. I figured I might as well use the coupon that I bought and left my car with them. They told me it would only take about 4 hours and that my car was the first one there. They also said they would call or send me an e-mail when they finish. I gave them the whole work day, and still no call. I had to call them on my way there, then I was told they were done. When I got there, I couldn't really tell what kind of job they did because it was so damn dark on that garage level. (You'll see why) I got my car keys back and drove on home. The carpet looked cleaner, but you can see where the obviously did not *detail* certain areas that were left with dirt. Even parts of the trim on my doors and dash were clearly missed when they wiped it down. The same could be said about the exterior when I got out to examine it in full light. The car had been cleaned and waxed, but there were streaks of wax about 6 to 12 inches long in different areas on the car. This may have been something they would've noticed had they waxed in a more lighted environment. Also, saw streaks on all my windows where they probably did one quick wipe with a glass cleaner drenched towel. If this was a typical car wash business, I probably would have given them 3 stars. But because this was supposed to be a car detailing business, they were far from what I was expecting. Don't call yourself detailers if you aren't going to pay attention to detail! I'm not a chef, so I don't go advertise on Buywithme.com that I am a chef. Simple as that! If I had to rate the level of customer service, they would get a 2 at best. Long after my car service, they keep sending me spam e-mails for 50% off their service. Why do you think their service is always half it's original value? Stick with the saying, "It's too good to be true." This place sure was a definite representation of that. read more

The job expected to be done is: Inside-and-out detailing with hand wash & wax, interior vacuuming & floor mat shampooing, window cleaning & more. I went there on a Saturday at noon, for my Acura MDX. That took a while to have an appointment because they don't answer often on the their phone and it takes 12+ hours to have responses via email. It's not easy to move on the narrow corners to reach this basement where they wash the car. I had to go backward, forward to negotiate the turn. I had to pay 20$ more from their normal price because my car is an SUV. When they gave me back the car, it looks cleaner than before, but I still had leafs on my windshield, they could have been blow away with a blower. I also had lot of cookie crumbs on the middle compartment of the front seats. This could have been blow away by a 4 years old without any difficulty. Lot of black stuff, like mud was still on the bottom side of my car. I touched them with my nail and peeled away. They told me it's not included to clean that. Almost everywhere except mirrors seems to not have been really cleaned. Maybe they did a fast pass without any attempt to leave the area clean. They took less than 45 minutes on the car, I don't know how much less. If you expect to wash more your car yourself just after paying for a detailing hand wash interior and exterior, it's the place to go. read more
