Recently came here to get my car detailed for the first time, ever! Finding this place is really tricky, but once I was in the area and called, I was directed to the hidden back driveway. My car had never been detailed before, and they did a great job. I am amazed that it looks brand new - I've received so many compliments. Taking off one star for the waiting experience. There is a waiting room, but it does not have AC and needs updating. Alex was unable to give a time estimate. He initially said ~2 hours, but it ended up taking nearly 5. I don't disagree, my car had never been detailed - but it would have been helpful to plan my day a bit better. read more

Amazing!! Twenty years behind the wheel and I still haven't figured out that containers of liquid need lids and straws when you're driving. When I dropped my car off, the floor carpet, seat upholstery and buttons/ vertical crannies around the emergency brake were crusty with four years of spilled milky coffee and smoothies. Really, really gross. It's now spotless, and best of all doesn't smell like anything (I opted for no air freshener), where yesterday it smelled like curdled soymilk mold. Alex even removed all the leaves and dirt that had collected under the hood. He was able to do an interior detailing within 4 hours for $100 less than other shops who looked at my car in despair and said their process would take two or three days given the state of everything. I found Alex on CL - brought my black Honda Civic on July 6, 2015. A friend of mine was eating in my car [without my knowledge] and got food stains all over the passenger seat and left the car smelling disgusting and trash everywhere. I cleaned up most of the trash, and Alex took care of the rest. I didn't think that the stain would come out, but Alex did a great job! I was lending my car to someone. He has a pet so I very much worried about the condition of the car at the time it came back. I wanted to make it nice and clean when he pick it up, so hopefully he will do the same when he gives it back. It would be snowing the next day, so I only did interior. I checked out a dozen auto detailing shop, from boston to Newton. Only information I could get were from their websites. Finally I chose this place, first it was the closest, second it was cheaper. I had a hard time finding this place. After I get to its front gate I realized I was here couple months ago, but I turned around because I couldn't find its main gate and I worried it was not legit. I called and a guy picked up my car. I told him I wanted stains on my door gone. It should be pretty easy because those were all dust and stuff. He called me 2hours after, and I came to pick up my car from some mechanics. Obviously they are not the same group of people but they could help when he is away. I checked the condition of my car. Basically, he did what he has to. He cleaned all mats, and I can tell he wiped the door and panel. However there is more to expect. Alex did the old bait and switch on me. I asked him multiple times if he was going to polish the truck with a buffing machine/hand tool to get the micro scratches out and if he was going to shampoo the headliner. He said he would, and he offered the best price for the service. When I came back to get my vehicle neither of those two key items were done. The only reason I drove all of the way out to leave my car with him was because I needed those two items done. While the job he did was good it is not detailing. It was a wash/wax with an interior Vacuum and wipe down. This was what my car exactly needed! Every year I spend time trying to clean my car and every year I can never get it spotless. I have a vacuum that does what it needs to, but I can't reach those tight spaces. Alex did an awesome job in about 2 hours. He called me to let me know my car was ready and let me leave my car there for a couple of hours in the afternoon until I could get my car. Found Alex through Yelp and definitely someone I'll go back to when I need detailing done on my car. I gave a friend a ride back from a party who had too much to drink and threw up in the car. I did my best to clean it up but it still smelt gross and had also gotten in the door through the window - not the best situation. Alex responded very quickly via Yelp when I messaged him (under 30 mins per response, usually within minutes) and was able to take me the next day. I visited A R Auto Detailing thanks to the Yelp review, so I figure it's only fair to leave my own review. I typically look for company websites ideally with online booking, but I must say I was very happy with my experience here. I sent an inquiry through Yelp and got an email back within minutes providing a reasonable quote and confirming availability for a few days later. On the morning I was scheduled, Alex called to let me know he'd be in a half hour later then we scheduled but that I could drop the car off with someone else at the garage (looks like a couple businesses operate out of the same space). I didn't mind at all, I was glad he called rather than letting me ask around when I got there. He did an excellent job and I was able to pick it up from the garage later that day as planned.
