Ham & Cheese Sandwich Breakfast Beef Croquette
Suhasini G.

Great Brazilian bakery in the Worcester area! We had no idea what to get, and the staff were very kind and walked us through everything they had. We decided to go with the beef croquettes and a ham and cheese sandwich which were both great, quite flavorful and the croquette especially was perfectly cheesy. Definitely want to go back and try out some sweet treats as well!

This is almost like a hidden gem. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but you can tell something's popular when the parking lot is full! We were here on Saturday during lunchtime and it was bustling inside, long queue but moving fast. There are a lot of baked goods to choose from savory and sweet. What's not on display is marked on the menu above the kitchen area. There was so much to choose from and it was our first time here so I decided to get a coconut cake and a fried ball stuffed with chicken and cream cheese. The coconut slice was huge and cheap, $2.75. It was so sweet but so good and moist with a hint of condensed milk. The fried ball was warm and had flaky chicken like tuna in a can but tasted delicious and was not greasy as one would expect. I'd love to come back here and try their other stuff!

This was a pit stop on our grand hot dog tour of Worcester. Plenty of bakery items to be had. I got a box full of different things to try. Most were yummy but a few were a little dry. I wish I had seen the tip from A.T. :( Nonetheless, the price was right, the big box of goodies was under $5. We also got a chocolate pudding over cookies with real whipped cream to split. We all enjoyed it. We were going to try a rice pudding but it wasn't set well. When I brought it up to swap for another, the girl pulled them off the shelf & didn't charge us for the one we had grabbed. I'm definitely grabbing one of those scrumptious looking cakes if I go back.

$6.99 charged $15.99

Are they actually listening to you when you order? Second time I get home to find my order was wrong. Ordered two egg & cheese sandwiches and the girl specifically asked "so no meat" I told her clearly yes no meat egg & cheese. I also bought some other stuff at the place my bill came out to $27.60 which sounded high. When I got my receipt I saw she charged me for a awrong item. They gave me back the difference. Went home to unwrap my breakfast sandwiches to find out they both had ham in them. Two waisted sandwiches because we don't eat ham. I called the place to let them know since this was the second time our orders were wrong all I got from the girl was oh ok I'm sorry. If i lives closer I would have gone in for a refund. Very disappointed with the customer service.

This Brazilian Bakery/Eatery is one of my favorite places to get a little afternoon snack. They offer a variety of Brazilian treats, snacks, beverages, breads, cakes, desserts etc. My go to is Pão de Queijo or cheese bread balls, Coxinha with Catupiry or chicken croquette filled with Brazilian cream cheese, and I love to down it with Guaraná, a very popular Brazilian soda. To me this a perfect and filling snack combo and brings me back to my trip to Brazil :). They also have açaí bowls which I want to try and serveral fruit juice smoothies like acerola or Brazilian cherry, graviola or Brazilian soursop, both very interesting and delicious when mixed blended with milk! You'll find this place packed with the local Brazilians but don't be afraid to come by and check it out, most of the girls counter can help you, in case you are totally lost! Definitely recommend my suggestions for first timers! The key here is to try to come early for the freshest selections but do ask them.

Good place overall for finding some Brazilian food. However, the "pãozinho de queijo" were not served hot and they did not have "amanditas".

This place fits the bill under both categories! Many years ago, before I moved to Worcester, my friend made me follow an Instagram account that was basically carb porn. Day after day, I'd check out their bizarre and scrumptious cupcake flavors, fantasizing about the day that I'd make it there. Back then, Worcester felt like a such a pain to get to that it took me a while to get there. But when I finally found this tiny little place tucked away on Water St, it was like that moment in Willy Wonka where Charlie is aghast at all the sugary delights around him. It was every frosted fantasy come to life. I try not to go TOO often, because I don't want to be condemned to a life of stretchy pants. But when I do go, it's a serious struggle not to try every creative confection in their case. Their treats are INCREDIBLE.

Good location, tough parking if you can't get in their small lot and good luck scoring a table (i think there were only 2!) But that's not the reason for disappointment. It's the product. Magic cookie bars are one of my favorite sweet treats so I had to buy one (at a high cost of $7!) It's heavy and dense but the flavor... the crust was inconsistent. Too thick and too think at points. The taste... it tastes like an M&M (with a slight hint of coconut.) I could have saved myself a lot of money just buying a bag of M&M's. But I don't like M&M's! See the problem? (And there were small M&M's on the top which is ok but it was overpowering.) I also had to try something cupcake related right? My daughter got a huge slice of funfetti cake. I had one layer of the cake. I can share the frosting was thick and dense. I like it sweet and melts in my mouth. Thus was not that. The cake itself was dense too. I was my cake fluffy. Overall I was let down and Queens Cup is off the return list.

We put Bean Bakery Café into the GPS, and on the way there, we passed a plaza with another Bean Café location. We were a little confused at first, but decided to stop at the one we passed since it was closer. I'm not sure why the GPS sent us to the other location, but I'm glad we spotted this one! We ended up getting a cheesecake cupcake, which was phenomenal, and a chocolate-covered cannoli cupcake that was also really good. We also got a chocolate chip cookie that was honestly to die for! We tried an iced coffee as well. It was good, although it had so much flavor that it didn't taste much like coffee to me. I will say the prices are definitely on the higher end for a bakery, but I also believe you get what you pay for, and the quality of the baked goods was there. Overall, a great spot for coffee and something sweet, and I would definitely go back!

But I was on a mission : - ) I was in the city yesterday to visit relatives and thinking of what to bring to them would not be deter me as I snaked my way through all the construction. Trying not the be negative, the thought entered my mind that this wonderful place may not have made it through the pandemic... But there it was - lights on and someone walked out while I was parking... The on-way street has parking on both sides. I've always found it to be tough to find a spot... but I hit it right, finding one directly across! I was greeted by the nicest, friendly clerk who chatted with me some while she hand- sifted powdered sugar over a few paczkis ( Polish/Eastern European donuts) I bought. I kept going... hoping for a cheese babka, they only had a few other kinds - it was late morning. So I opted for a Walnut Strudel that looked delish. I added a few more items to my purchase. She packed them well. Leaving, it took more snaking around the streets, but not too bad. I just want to remind people that what you purchase here will not be as "sweet" as grocery store bought. The Kosher certified pastries, cookies etc. are made in the old world tradition and are exactly as they should be- as they've always been. They are meant to be shared over steamy cups or coffee, tea and engaging conversation. When I arrived my relatives were all smiles awaiting what was in my bags/boxes.. happy to see me? or the pastry? LOL

The cases and shelves are fully stocked with cookies and breads, and off to one corner sits a refrigerated cased with Apple Tarts that seem to be beckoning. I was unsure if the tart was made at the bakery due to the packaging and label. But it looked good, so I grabbed them to go. I thought the tarts were delicious, not overly sweet with a nice texture. I'd look forward to eating these again. Alas there were no French Eclairs, my perennial favorite, and there could be a greater selection of pastries. That said, this is a great local spot to score some fresh bread or tasty treats!

It's a magical place with an atypical menu that combines fried cheese empanadas with smoothies and açaí bowls. It checked most of the boxes of my desires. Yes, you read that correctly, they have fried empanadas. They have vegetarian options of cheese and pizza, stuff with meat that didn't register with me, and banana caramel if you're in a sweet mood. We ordered the cheese but I will will admit that I was interested in the pizza one. I was really craving something fruity and refreshing so I ordered an açaí bowl with açaí sorbet covered in granola, banana slices, and honey. They come in small, normal, and super big. Tina ordered a dragonfruit which is the same exact thing as the standard one but with dragonfruit sorbet in addition. So gooooooodddddd. UPDATE: I found out just now, prior to my second order, you can choose TOPPINGS. They have a bunch of fruit options (cherries, strawberries, kiwi, GRAPES), chocolate, pb, choco chips!!!!!, chocolate "ball", chocolate SAUCE, m&ms, etc. One of the most popular items is something called mini snacks. I had no idea what that could possibly be but I'm intrigued by anything that's particularly popular on the menu. It comes in increments of 15, 25, 50, 100. This Even more mysterious now. What on Earth? What would someone want to buy 50 or even 100 of? We ordered 25 of them. The food came very quickly. The empanada was massive. Like it was double the size of my head. I got my hands on that sucker and I pulled it apart, revealing a nice string of cheese between the two sides. The açaí bowl was GREAT. The mini snacks. First impressions reveal churros in munchkin form. It's crisp on the inside and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. I bit into it. A warm filling was propelled into my mouth. Caramel.
