It took me many years of living here to actually go here and I'm glad I gave it a chance. We went on a busy valentines evening and were sat fairly quickly. It was bustling but service was not affected. It's a casual eat like the name says but not so casual that it wouldn't be a nice place for a date. Just not super fancy and I'm ok with that. The food was really good. We started with calamari and arancini. The calamari is the best we've had. Tender and flavorful. Everything you want in seafood. This was my first arancini so I don't have much experience but it was nicely flavored. Very dense and filling. Hubby got fish and chips. It wasn't super memorable. It was fine but there is better around. I got the sampler of meatball, chicken and eggplant in the red sauce. It was very good. It was so much food we took home another meal worth of food. I would say this is an absolute yes. Go give it a try. read more

Their food is always consistent and very good. We have tried so many things off of their lunch, dinner and specials menu. My kids love their chicken parm and the portion is huge. I recently had the fish and chips and it was the best fish I have had in quite some time. The piece of fish was huge, the batter was flavorful and the fish was cooked perfect. We love their desserts too. Their bread pudding is a good go to and my kids cannot go and skip the chocolate cake. Prices are average. They share a lot with the strip mall and the parking lot gets packed at dinner time, especially on the weekends. read more

Oxfords is great for take out too! I needed something quick and ordered the Short Riv Risotto and Gorgonzola Salad with Chicken. The food was great and they had it ready in about 20 minutes. Super easy and delicious! I love the focaccia bread that they include too. Yummy! read more

This place used to be much better, IDK what happened, but I came out here many years ago and had a gourmet steak with pepper, coffee grounds and other spices on it, it was amazing and the meat quality was really good. And now the steaks are like something you get at Sizzler. This place started out really good, and now the menu is just bland and generic. IDK if it's the clientele in the area that forced them to be less fancy and less gourmet and more generic, or if they changed owners or chefs, but it used to be amazing, now it's just OK. What a lovely and yummy experience. The service here can't be beat. Small town, warm environment, so friendly. We took forever to look at our menus because we were chatting and the waitress was so attentive regardless, and kindly let us know when the kitchen would be closing (lol). Portions were large. Everything went well!! Just found this place on maps while looking for dinner on our way from Maine to Connecticut. So happy we did! First I'll start with the fabulous focaccia bread with olive oil to dip. So delicious and soft with just the right texture. I ordered the cauliflower app.that has a sweet and spicy sauce that was very tasty but I feel it would be even more delicious if they actually tossed the hot cauliflower in the sauce as soon as it came out of the fryer then the flavor would be all over. Still so yummy!! Salads were large and the house balsamic dressing was perfectly made. Next well I had the meatball appetizer that had two large tender delicious meatballs in plenty of marinara sauce with a sprinkle of cheese, beautiful and delicious!! My husband had a very creamy linguini Alfredo that he enjoyed and took home half of. Overall a wonderful dinner. The service was on point and everyone was courteous and helpful. Ambiance may have been a bit better if we weren't sitting in front of the kitchen door. It really didn't mater as we were busy eating this fabulous food. Hats off to the chef! read more

Went there last night (3/29/25). Very poor experience. We had made reservations to sit in the bar area as there was a band playing from 6-9pm. They squeezed our party in the middle table or whatever they call it. No problem sitting there, but we had no room for our plates. They put 4-6 too many people in this middle section. Secondly, Oxford's only had one waitress to work this middle section, plus the high tops. They needed at least one more waitstaff to handle the volume in the bar area. We waited generally 30-45 minutes to get more drinks. Not the fault of the only waitress working the bar area, but inept management to staff appropriately. This is the second bad experience at Oxford's and all has to do with too many customers and not enough employees to help out. We always try to sit in the bar area, not the dining room. The place is packed when they have a decent band playing. Oxford's needs to get their act together. We most likely will not go back, too many other choices in the area. Food was ok, not great. I had chicken, broccoli and ziti, but is lacked flavor. Very bland. I had a few beers, but did order one margarita, but it was almost 100% sour mix. I should have sent it back, but did not want to wait 30 minutes for my next drink. Maybe this place is better during the week?Weekends not so good in my experience. read more

Seems that each time we go to Oxford's Casual we get a little more dissapointed. The baked fish was tiny by our estimation and being thin was over cooked. The clams and potato (!) in the chowder was nearly non-existant. Our companions fries were cold and the steak tips looked dry and, well, went mostly un-eatened. We have gone a few times now on a sat night and the food is always consistently delicious. The music was horrible. What we dined to was someone that could not play or sing, We were so surprised because the first time we went we heard a great duo and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We were hoping they would be back, but after looking at their line up for what is coming we were not thrilled. Dine here usually once a month and have never had a bad experience, food or drink. I'm a martini girl and they certainly know how to make a good one! I've tried the a variety of dishes from the salmon, pulled pork tacos, autumn salad as well as the bruschetta & Brussel sprout apps and all delicious. Our meal here tonight was very good. We had the firecracker chicken wontons, homemade spaghetti with in house made meatballs. My mom had the steak tips, with french fries, and coleslaw. The service was a tiny bit slow. We were seated quickly but it took a bit for our waitress to get back and take our order. Thankfully our dinners came very quickly so it all averaged out. We started with bread that was served with olive oil. The wontons were very a nice surprise. They came in a serving of 3 large square shaped wontons. They had cream cheese, chicken and came with pepper jelly on top. They delicious but reminded me more of a spicy crab rangoon only made with Chicken instead. Either way, they were good and I would recommend them. The spaghetti was very good. The sauce was well seasoned and not overly salty like many places. It came with two large meatballs that were REALLY GOOD! In my experience you rarely get food in a restaurant that isn't overly salty. Nothing in this meal was over seasoned. I even had to add a slight bit of salt to my meatballs because it was missing just a little, but still very delicious! The steak tips were grilled to perfection. They were lightly seasoned, had great grilled flavor, and cooked exactly medium. Meat was tender and very tasty. French fries were thin, shoestring type, and tasted like the homemade, pan fried type. The coleslaw was also very yummy! We had a young man who frequently came around to collect plates etc, and boxed all our extra food up for us when we were finished. Overall I would come here again, and may before my vacation here is over. Prices were about average compared to others places. Wontons were $7.00, Spaghetti was $10.00 for the meal, and the steak tips dinner was $17.00. read more

I have been a customer this restaurant since opened it opened some years ago The space was small but the food and the service was great. I watched it grow in size still with great friendly staff many who have remained for years. The meals have now become equal to any fine dining restaurant in quality and variety while still priced so fairly I find myself visiting often. They have also since added a sizable full bar cocktail lounge, nicely designed and so comfortable that you may dine jn there if you wish and many do. The bartenders are well experienced and serve every drink mixed as just they should be. I find myself saying 'ahhh' after every sip. Great wines & beers. Andd jeans are fine. No, I don't work there not is the owner my uncle, I just love this restaurant. Yes bring the children. read more

I've been going to Oxford's for years. During Covid we got take out at least once per week or more (for 4 people). Even now, we get take out at least once a week and we usually get almost the same thing every week. The quality has become incredibly inconsistent. The amount of chicken changes - the amount of greens changes - the type of cheese changes. This past Friday we went in person for the first time in a while. Seated quickly. Waitress was lovely. My salad never came out. Three of the four meals were slightly colder than room temperature. By the time she came back, we were halfway done. She spoke to the owner and offered us a dessert to share on the house. Ever try to ask two kids to share a dessert? When we ordered a second one to avoid an argument - she reiterated that only one was going to be on the house. In general, I don't want to be placated with a free dessert - I'd like some reassurance that it's not going to happen again. I didn't get that. We got the bill - two of us got the same meal - one was $2 more - questioned it. Apparently there's an upcharge for broccoli as a side. No big deal, but it wasn't mentioned. Overall - honestly, we'll probably still order from there because the house dressing is to die for, but I'm really disappointed in the quality and consistency of the food. read more

My family had an event here after a funeral on Saturday (9/7/19) and I am disgusted at the ignorance of the two female servers. Someone in our family has severe allergies that were not taken seriously which lead her to go without eating. The waitresses advised her that everything was gluten and dairy free and that she would be just fine to eat what they had on the buffet. This was not true because the fish was at least covered in butter and breadcrumbs. The waitress advised that she could eat the salad and our family member politely asked if there were carrots in the salad. The waitress said yes but she could just push them aside. (This is not how severe allergies work.) As we were sitting at the table, one of the waitresses came over and offered her "Gluten Free" water, thinking this was just a joke. If the servers were polite in telling our family member that they are not allergy friendly this would not be an issue, but unfortunately this was not the case. Unless this restaurant is looking for a customer to go into anaphylactic shock due to the servers careless actions, the staff needs to be properly trained in food safety and customer service before they tell someone else with a severe allergy that they are "sure they are just fine". If you have an allergy, steer clear from this restaurant. read more

For a very busy restaurant she does a really good job taking care of all her guests and yes sometimes there are people that are still unhappy with the service.
