Context: I do not normally get gel manicures but I wanted one so I would stop picking my cuticles. I chose this place and went for a gel manicure early in July. Once my cuticles had healed (3 weeks ish), I wanted that gel removed because I wanted natural nails. I also noticed that the tech had filed off a lot of my sidewalls during the gel application, so I did not want another gel manicure. Therefore, I asked to have a regular clear coat manicure on natural nails. When I got to the appointment I asked for my manicure to be soaked off, to which the tech said filing instead. I kept asking for the gel to be removed via soak-off as I did not want any more drilling to my nails beds. Finally, after the tech removed some of the gel top layer she then placed acetone foil wraps on my fingers for less than 3 minutes. This was the "soak-off." After that short acetone exposure, the tech then proceeded to drill off the gel which I had already expressed several times that I did not want. I felt that she was over drilling because I could feel the discomfort. I told her to be gentle because I have sensitive nails. The tech does not appeared to be trained in natural manicures. The nails were not buffed out properly, and the edges were filed with a coarse grit. A clear coat was slapped on quickly and haphazardly. When I left the salon, my nails were catching on everything I would touch and the shape was poorly done. Needless to say I was angry for dropping $50 on this manicure. I went home, removed the clear coat and saw there was a lot of gel still left on my nail. I proceeded to buff, cut, file and shape my own nails. I could tell that the cuticle area was overfiled. I waited 10 days to see if my nail bed was damaged. And they are on several nails with obvious ridges and redness. The tech was very resistant to switching to a natural manicure during our appointment, trying to convince me to do another gel manicure. I understand that gel means repeated customer. But I 100% would have returned to this establishment if the natural manicure was done well. It appears that they lacked the skill and training to safely do a soak off removal or natural manicure.

There was no towel on the plastic arm rest so it felt cold & slimy after she applied lotion to my arms. I asked for a towel for it but she simply wiped the plastic and left it wet. I asked, "Could you please dry that?" She did after I asked her to. No sense of client comfort, no sense that this is supposed to be pleasurable for the client. She did everything roughly, rudely and with resentment. She made one of my cuticles bleed. Never mentioned it, never said sorry. At the end of the manicure she applied a lot of oil to my cuticles, and declared I was ready to go. Oil on the cuticles is much appreciated but this was all over my fingers. I asked for something to wipe the excess off because I didn't want to get it on my clothes. She resentfully handed me a small square of paper towel which I made do with. I am elderly, closer to 80 than to 70, and as I struggled a bit to get my vest on, trying not to damage the manicure or get any remaining oil on the vest, she stood and watched me. She even yawned once. No move to help me on with it. Just a cold stare while I struggled. Needless to say, I left no tip and I will not ever go back there again in spite of the fact it is 5 minutes from my house, and I have gone there for several years. I will drive across the city before I ever put up with that kind of disrespectful, mean, rude treatment again.

My sister and I have stomach issues we can't eat any spice so we opted for a charcuterie board and we split it between the two of us. There was a lot of stuff on the charcuterie board but nothing you could possibly eat for a "breakfast" it was more of a brunch with no breakfast food. We left most of it behind as we couldn't eat that for breakfast as our first meal of the day. So we were out of our massages by 10:00 we were allowed to go into the hot tub but there was a sign that said you could only be in the hot tub for 15 minutes so there's 15 minutes taken up, but then we still had to wait till 11:30 for some food i don't know about you but as an older person I have to eat before that. So what do you do while waiting for any type of nourishment in a spa. We decided to ask for our meal sooner than later so that we could leave when the charcuterie board arrived we just looked at each other thinking there isn't anything we could possibly eat on here for breakfast. We ate the grapes and a couple of crackers and left the rest which for $58 for two Sparkling Waters and one charcuterie board that was very small i just didn't think it was worth the money. So I feel that if you're going to go to a spa get a great massage and possibly a meal that is deserving of a spa for that much money go somewhere else where your money goes further. Atmosphere: amazing, clean and modern. Has several different rooms like a cafe lounge to have your lunch. A serenity room which is a super cozy place to just lay back and read a book after your massage. A waiting room with amazing assortment of snacks such as mixed nuts, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, homemade granola. They also have an espresso machine there. There are around 15 masseuse working the day I went because the place was very full in the waiting lounge which was a downside. They have a steam shower in the ladies room and a hot tub which I love! I wish there was also a coed one for me and my husband to meet up and hangout in but i can live without that. Don't even bother bringing your husband here this is the best place for YOU time. I did a whole 6 hour spa day here. Moisture drench body treatment - amazing! Fell asleep. A therapeutic massage Also great! A moisture drench facial - TOP NOTCH the girl had the best massage techniques I've seen. Seriously still water spa should sponsor meeeeee!!!! I can't say enough good things about it.
