I normally come here for my pedicures. Never go anywhere else. I typically have a fine experience but I just had the worst experience Ever! The woman who did my pedicure hurt me with the nail clippers then mutilated my toenails with the nippers. I said ow- she kept going. I couldn't see how bad of a job she did until I walked out and looked closely. I'm very disappointed I wasted my money & now I have to wait for my nails to grow in some before I can fix them myself. Paint job was as if a toddler did it. Paint all over my skin and lots of remover needed. read more

I love this place - the techs clearly know what they're doing and work efficiently. Large selection of colors and services, I've gotten pedicures and manicures (gel, ANC, tips and bare) and I've been pleased with them all. My favorite tech is Annie and I always try to book with her for my more extravagant styles. If you live in downtown Troy, you can't beat the location (walking distance) and they're very easy to book appointments with. Depending on the day, it's pretty easy to walk in, but I always recommend just calling ahead to make sure you get taken care of because they have plenty of regulars during after work hours! read more

I want to support small biz, especially a nail salon with a fairly large modern space but the service was horrible. Besides paying $41 for a regular main & pedi. Plus $9 tip as I was put on the spot to tip before the "nail tech" started painting my mani. I knew I had to pay, but she was obviously waiting for the $. The owners are Chinese(canto, mando, maybe another dialect) and even though they're my people & I tried to chat a little with the words I knew; it was obvious- and obvious with the looks of all their non-Chinese speaking customers noticing as well, a lot of the "nail techs" were talking sh*t about the customers they were working on (in mando). And the place was Packed! One lady from the Netherlands chatting & saying the nail salons were much better here than in her country. Umm- I'll drive back the 2.5hrs to Astoria Queens for a mani/pedi for $35 with excellent shaping & quick even super thin layered paint- at a packed quick salon. A few mother/daughters were there, a few regulars (a super high woman whose fake nail came off & was vocally picky the whole time). I wasn't going to wait 15+ min, but the receptionist convinced me that someone was almost done. And they were going to be packed the next morning with a "nail party." My "nail tech" was Chinese aggressive endearing, but also inattentive(maybe looking for her next customer?), didn't clean under or around the nail, did surface level shaping, trimming, a long shin massage with light pressure. She said stuff like the polish I chose was too white(light & nude colors didn't seem popular in this area) & that I should come back the morning of the event for my mani- because it'll chip from daily wear. I decided that if I was going to spend(waste) time here, I don't want to drive back another day. She did ok with the polish layers, but not SO quick at getting clean smooth layers.--and to think I was happy finding Essie in the area. She recommended a French pink for the mani-good advice on her end. Not pushing or much trimming of cuticles. Although after my $ tip, she used the motorized filing wand that they use for acrylics & said "she would treat me well." As I was waiting at the drying station, my anger started growing -$50 of my cash out of my pocket. My tech immediately moved on to the next pedicure. I waited and approached her in the back to clean up the sides of my big toes & dry/dead skin. 2hrs later I finally left. And trimmed my painted nails shorter at home. To start, I rarely, if ever, get my nails done because I have huge hands, work in a kitchen, and I'm always afraid nails will just make my hands look even worse. I came in on a Thursday around 11am and asked for a full set, and was seated right away. The atmosphere was nice and very calm. She took her time and did an absolutely amazing job, checking in with me periodically to make sure I liked the way the nails were turning out. This is only the third time I've ever had my nails done, and I'm so happy I did, because rather than making my hands look larger and less feminine, I feel like she really tailored them to my hand l, they aren't thick or bulky, and they give me and overall more elongated look. read more

Overcharged for bare minimum work. I paid $70 for a SHORT "french tip" and I usually don't mind the price because of course you want to charge for your work but it is clear that they aren't as experienced with acrylic so they need to bring their prices down. read more

Called for a lash extension appointment for 12pm and asked if they use cluster or individual, male receptionist on the phone can barely speak English and just told me to come in. Arrived at 12 someone is still getting their lashes done. Receptionist tells me I was scheduled for 1pm! I let her know the guy who took appointment made that mistake she's like fine you'll be next just wait 20 mins. I ended up waiting for 45 mins just for the client to be done and before I got up another customer jumped in the lash extensions seat. I ask the receptionist what's going on she's like oh she had appointment for 12:30. I ask why she would tell me I'm next and to wait if you knew other people booked before me? She's like wait 20 mins more you'll be next, it's 12:45 now I won't have my appointment on time. DON'T go here if you value your time. It's a cheap establishments with cheap prices. Just spend that extra and GO to a reputable & organized salon where you'll get quality lashes done in a timely manner! read more

The previous reviews did make me weary but I had to see for myself. I've been eyeing this salon for months. When I pass by, its filled with people. Perhaps they are keeping Miracle a secret. I stopped in on a Friday night and it was packed. The estimated wait time was 30 minutes, but I only had wait for 15 minutes. My nail technician, Vivi was pleasant and took her time doing my nails. The space is big and well lit. The tools were sanitized after each use. Vivi didn't use too much of the mechanical nail drill, which I greatly appreciated. It can lead to damage if done incorrectly. ANC prices in the area range from 25-40 dollars. I paid $35.00 which is on the slightly higher end. However, my cuticles were removed and trimmed, nails shaped and the hand massage at the end was delightful. Upon leaving, I received a punch card. After 6 services over $14.00, you can get $10.00 off. I like incentive. I'll be back soon. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I'm so pissed that I even went here. Online it says 20$ for an acrylic fill in but got charged 25$. She wasn't even going to drill out underneath my nail. I had to ask her too. Then she didn't even clean under my nail. They look horrible. She didn't paint the ends of my nails. And left paint on my skin. Bottom line never AGAIN!!! I needed a quick gel manicure while my son was at hockey practice. Miracle nail did a good job, had a clean facility, and my nails are done well,The shoulder rub - and not a Wimpy one either - was the best! they finish with a hand massage. *One sidebar, though they used the tools that they use on acrylics to smooth my nails the power filer.... and they do feel very very thin now. I went to miracle nail for a manicure and pedicure with my mom. We were hoping to be able to sit next to each other and talk while being pampered but unfortunately we couldn't. Which was totally okay! So I got my pedicure done first, and got the paraffin wax which I love! However the woman who was doing my pedicure cut my toe tail so short I started bleeding. However, I know it wasn't her intentions and I could tell she was very sorry. So my pedicure went on and it was very good. I had to sit for my toes to dry under a drier and waited for 45 minutes as they were taking new customers before they sat me down to start my manicure. As I sat down, the woman asked me if I was getting tips on with my ANC and I told her no, that I just wanted to keep the length of my regular nails. She began filing and such, then asked me what shape I wanted.. I told her I liked the shape of my nails, the way they were more rounded, so she could keep them the way they are, just even them out a little if she wanted to.. she said okay. Before I knew it, she was filing my very long nails down to absolutely nothing. She had already filed 3 of my nails before I looked down to realize, and by then it was too late. I was upset but I just figured she didn't hear me very well, and everyone messes up! So she began with dipping my nails in the ANC powder and there were chucks and cracks and I began to ask her, if when she filed them would the bumps come out because I just don't want my nails to look bumpy. She said yes and was just very short with me. She continued filing when she was done dipping my nails and was hurting me very badly with just the regular nail file. So I said oh I'm sorry excuse me but for some reason it's hurting me. She stopped looked at me and said no it's not and kept going. She got to my second nail and I pulled my hand back to find she had the dip on my skin and she was trying to get it off. She took my hand back and said she would tuck my skin in so she wouldn't be filing it anymore and I said okay. She then took out the little tool with the metal looking top to file my nails and kept hitting my cuticles which was hurting very badly. I then pulled my hand back again and said how I think I'm going to bleed, you just cut me. And she answered with no you're not bleeding, so I responded with just wait a few seconds and I will be. She tried to continue filing my nails and I was still remaining calm and said "I'm sorry ma'am i know it's probably been a very long day for you, I don't know if they have given you a break yet, so if you would like you can step out side for a few minutes to clear your head and just to have a little break and I'll wait until you get back to continue." She said nothing to me and grabbed my hand and continued to work. I started to lose my patience now. It seemed to me that they were talking about me because all of their employees were circling me and when I continued to say "ow you're hurting me" they laughed. This woman had me bleeding from my cuticles from at least 3 fingers, and the ANC in two of my nails were very bumpy. I asked her if she could file down the two bumpy finger nails and she began to be very rough with me and huffing and puffing at me. I then told her I'm sorry but if I'm going to be paying for these nails, I'm not going to have something I don't like. So I asked her to kindly take off the two bumpy nails and redo them. Which she did, but of course with an attitude. Once she was finished putting my two new nails on, I had went to go wash my hands. During which I found that the skin under my nails was stuck to whatever they apply when doing ANC. When I went back to her, I told her and she ended up using some sort of clipper to detach the nails and skin, during which she had broken all of my real nails that I had under the nails. Which wasn't much seeing how she filed them down so much. Overall it was just a very long process which was a big headache. I was very disappointed with their work and customer service. read more

A genuinely weird place. They do an okay job. I've been here a few times for gel manicures but I think I am going to try a new place. They file my nails with the grinder for no reason so thin that they break. Also every time I have been I have received a different gel manicure? It's very odd. Once my friend and I went in and my gel took (I am not exaggerating) almost an hour and a half, while her's took about 30 minutes. We sat down at the same exact time there was no reason for mine to take triple the time! Very bizarre. The people are friendly though but I have noticed other customers frustration with the excessive nail filing sometimes they get down so far it actually hurts. Last time I stopped in, 3 different people did my manicure. They kept getting up and leaving and then a new person would sit down and keep going - weird. If your looking for a reasonably priced, okay manicure and you want to spend a couple hours wondering what on earth is going on I recommend this place. read more

I left this place extremely disappointed today. I have been here quite a few times in the past for "happy feet." I usually go here or Wonder Nail in Colonie. I called ahead of time for Happy Feet, they took me on time once I got there and everything. I go in the room, I lay back on the chair and they put the eye mask on me. At first I thought it was strange because they don't usually start with the feet but this time they did and I let that go. Then it felt like no time at all had past and the timer went off. I basically got a 20 minute foot rub for $28 dollars. Happy feet in the past includes neck, head, shoulder, arm and leg / foot massage. Today was only feet. Wonder Nail in colonie includes all of that, for $25 if I knew they had changed their practice, I never would of given them my business today. Especially since it recently changed, the right thing to do is to give someone a heads up before laying back in the chair especially for someone like me who gets Happy Feet all the time. I thought I knew what I was getting. It was an absolute RIP off today and they should be ashamed of themselves. Very mis leading. I even told her that I will be going to Wonder Nail every time now. She didn't even apologize for the mis understanding. $28 and I could of gotten a full pedicure with exfoliating and polished finish. I will make sure to tell my friends who come here for nails & other services that they should take their business elsewhere, I will be sure to spread the word. read more

We had 3 appointments, (why???) but that does not matter much, as its first come first serve and lets see how many we can get in the chair asap. Could not sit together, which was the purpose as a mothers day outing. Had both mani (gel) and pedi, first did not have the 3 colors of purple I wanted, so I ended up with pink; asked for mani to have cuticles trimmed, had to ask 4 times, they kept telling me they did not understand. Unfortunately the gels did not make it a week, no chemicals, no heavy lifting, I was on vacation. So a waste of money and lost experience. One tip, if you want the back rub, remind them to give you a back rub, I did not get one for either :( as each assumed the other was doing it. read more

In reality, I'd give this place 3 1/2 stars if I could. I think it's all hit or miss here. I've had a really fantastic experience only to come back weeks or months later to have a terrible one. I would say be careful of who does your nails, but I think the staff is constantly changing as every time I go in there's new technicians I don't recognize. I like the rewards system, and that if you pay with cash you get a little percentage off of your total pay. I also like how clean and sterile it looks along with how most of the technicians take their time. I can tell you that I've always had a great experience with Leo-he's always very nice and accommodating. They have redeemable parking, so although it looks like there's never any spots you can park in the building across the street. Their prices are comparable to other salons around the area and I think they have one of the biggest selections of colors especially regarding ANC. I've had coworkers who've had many massages (head, neck, happy face) and they've all said it was great. One of the worst experiences I've had though was another male technician yelling at me because I wanted another coat of ANC. Maybe that's not doable, but to speak to me like a child and embarrass me in the salon is not cool or professional. Sometimes the wait can be terrible depending on when you go, I feel like I'll regret saying this later on; but I find the best time is either around 11 am, 1-2 pm or 7 pm. Also, I've had better massages at other places. Here sometimes it feels like they're taking out their aggression on you. I've also had it happen where many times they'll file my nails too much, I know it has to be bumpy to have certain products (ANC, maybe gel) on them, but they get brittle after a while, and I've been to salons that don't do it as much. I've also been to plenty of salons who will do things like extra coating on the nails, or putting tips on the real nails and then painting it over with ANC, which it seems like Miracle Nails refuses to do. Overall, I think that if you stop by you'll most likely have an enjoyable experience, but I don't think it's guaranteed. When they first opened the customer service would've pushed this review to a 5 star, but I think because of their increased popularity and financial status-they're not concentrating on that as much. I recently got the spa pedicure here and had a great experience. I love that there is free parking at the garage across the street (bring your ticket to get validated) and the spa seemed clean and popular. The pedicure was everything I expected it to be and my nails look great. Make sure you grab a frequent user's card when you leave and their flyer with coupons. read more

I have never been disappointed with the nail services here. I get acrylic with gel polish and always request Michael or Kitty. They are both very careful and they don't rush, but they don't take forever either. I like the shoulder massage you get when your nails are done. They honor your appointments. I got the permanent french tips and when they put the acrylic on they didn't put enough on the brush and just lightly slid over now so now there is a huge gap between the old nail and my cuticle I asked them to fix it and they were very hesitant about it but they eventually wentd over 1 but there still wasn't enough acrylic on the brush so it lightly went over the gap and I asked if they could do it one more time with a little more powder and they said no they would have to take the nail off but you can leave and you do not have to pay for this so I got up out of my chair and left. As a customer I should never have a problem where I'm getting my nails done. I'm from Long Island and they immediately would fix the problem this was the worst nail salon I have ever been to read more

My five stars are for the actual eyelash extensions I had done here. They are inexpensive enough that as a mom I could afford.. took literally 10 minutes! I would give cleanliness 4 star.. could be cleaner/neater.. but hey, it's a busy place.. and I would give 3 stars for the set up station for the eyelashes... a random chair by the door with a little table..
