This company provides great service and a useful product. My house is about 30 years old and has the original kitchen sink. The gloss had worn off and lost it's shine and was starting to look yellowish. I was planning to buy a new sink but I thought I would try refinishing the old one first. I called Miracle Method and scheduled a technician to come out and spray the sink. I had a few other things come up so I postponed the visit to the following week. The people I spoke to on the phone were all very professional and handled the rescheduling without any issues. When James arrived he brought in all of his equipment and prepped the kitchen for the spraying. He put up a canopy of clear plastic over half the kitchen to keep the spray from going where it shouldn't. He then taped over the drains and fixtures and sprayed the sink. The process took about 2.5 hours. He said it would take overnight to dry and harden. He opened a window to vent the fumes from the coating. The only drawback was I couldn't use the kitchen for dinner that night, but it was a good excuse to order pizza! James was scheduled to come at 8 AM the next day. At 7:40 AM I received a phone call that James was stuck in traffic and might be 1/2 an hour late. I was impressed with their professionalism in keeping me informed. When James arrived on Day 2, he removed all of the wrappings around the kitchen, made sure the coating on the sink was dry and smooth, and put a bead of caulking around the sink. This process isn't cheap, but it is still less expensive or messy than taking out the old sink and putting in a new one. My old sink looks like new now. read more

This is our second time using Miracle Method and think their service is a life saver - and money saver! We called them to repair our two basin kitchen sink for the second time, the first call went out in 2003. After 15 years the original fix gave way and the surface chipped. That fix was just a small part of the sink, a corner that receives a lot of wear and dishes/pans hitting it. The original damage came when a large pot was dropped on the edge of the center which broke off a large piece of porcelain. That fix was done and was barely noticeable even with close inspection. After that repair began breaking off, we called Miracle Method again to arrange repairs. Unforutunately for us it was right before Christmas and they were super busy. After waiting for their calendar to free up we locked in the two days they would be coming out. Yes, it does take two days. The tech, James, arrived early as his prior appointment finished early and got right to work. In fact, he worked very quietly and expeditiously creating a tented area around our sink area to protect the surrounding area and was very professional and knowledgeable about the job. Other than being without a sink for a couple days (my wife, daughter and I loved not having to cook and clean) the job was seamless and finished within the time promised. The finished product was flawless, caulking was great and there was no sign of someone even being in our house doing what could be a messy job. If we need ANY resurfacing done in the future, we WILL be calling on them again. PS - our kitchen sink is large, under-counter, surrounded by a granite counter-top and would be very expensive to replace. Preparing to list our home for sale, we had a laundry list of needed repairs and updates to make the home more attractive. The tub in our hall bath had a spot that the porcelain finish had worn thru almost to the metal. We called on Miracle Method to resurface, rather than rip out a 400# cast iron tub and destroy the tile surround. The tile also needed to be color changed to match other renovated fixtures in the room. Dave, the owner, came out to see the job. He suggested taking the commode tank lid back to their shop to color match the tiles. Paul was the lone technician who performed all the work start to finish. Because there were 2 colors(white tub and sand colored tile) it took 3 1/2 days start to finish. Only one color can be done per day, as that work has to dry before re-masking for the second color. The first day was all prep, and the final 1/2 day was to seal, reassemble(fixtures and shower doors) and clean up. We are absolutely thrilled with the result!! Our old tub and mismatched surround is now a thing of beauty for a price probably 1/3 of what a tear out would have cost us. Paul was very professional and considerate explaining every aspect of the work to make sure any decisions were exactly how we wanted them to work. If you're looking for a way to update and beautify for a fraction of the cost, I highly recommend you give Miracle Method the job. The result will be something you can be proud of!! read more

From the first phone call, the folks at Miracle Method were super helpful. In my initial conversation with Dave, I was asked to send photos, then we set an appointment to have him come and look at the job and bid. The price was very competitive versus another highly rated contractor I spoke to (who bid based on the photos only, no offer to come and actually see the job, which I found odd). When I scheduled, they were able to accommodate my desired timeline and it was done quickly. The tech, James, was very friendly on top of working hard to do a great job. Be warned - I'm sensitive to odors/chemicals etc. and the smell was very strong for me - had to leave open lots of doors and windows and it's been quite cold, so prepare for that. Took about 48 hours to become tolerable for me. But the results are lovely - I had two different tile patterns in my guest bath and wanted to do a "light remodel" - and coating the wall tiles in clean white has made a dramatic impact on the attractiveness of the space. Would definitely recommend talking to these folks if you want to transform the look of ceramic fixtures without a full re-do! read more

We called and spoke to Dean and Dave about resurfacing two fiberglass tubs on the second floor. We have done similar projects on porcelain tubs and were happy with the result. What Miracle Method did was extraordinary. Great results. It does smell a bit but that dissipates in a few days. You are left with a great product. I'm getting ready to put my house on the market. My hall bathroom had that 1950s pink tile with chipped grout and mouldy caulking. Not to mention a couple missing and cracked tile. Since no one uses that bathtub we kept the shower curtain closed to hide the nasty looking tile. We were told about Miracle Method and what they can do to fix the problem so I gave them a call and to my surprise they said text a couple photos and they would give me a quote. I did just that, they gave me a price and started the next day. It was that easy. The tech that arrived to do the job was named William. He was very professional and his mannerism very polite. It was a stormy rainy day and William laid out tarps while walking in and out while he did the prep work. He replaced the missing tiles and filled in the cracked grout lines then sprayed the tiles white and gave it a whole new look. I'm really amazed at how it looks like brand new tile. Having a bathtub that was starting to show rust and corrosion, - especially around the overflow drain, I looked into one of those bathtub liners. However, it was very expensive and the reviews that I heard indicated that they turn a little dull and dingie in less than a year. My plumber, suggested Miracle Method Bathroom Restoration. The owner, Dave, came over and looked at my tub and gave me a fair quote. Miracle Method (Jerry) started the work yesterday morning and finished it up this morning. It is a 2 stage process. About 3 hours the first day and about 45 minutes the second day. I absolutely love the way it makes my tub look brand new without all the expense of demolishing, purchasing a new tub, and re-doing the plumbing. They finished up by completely caulking my tub, both on the inside and along the walls and floor, and did a fabulous job of cleaning up after themselves. Very little inconvenience to me (a little smelly on the first day) and the look of a new tub for under $600. We had a 1 1/4" diameter rusty chip on the bottom of our porcelain 1960s bathub. My husband tried to fix it with a DIY kit ... well that didn't work out too well and within a couple of months the stuff started flaking off. So for a better repair, I called up Miracle Method. They sent out a repair guy (William) the day after I called. William was very professional and clean (even wore shoe covers). He explained the process (sort of like auto body work) and color-matched the top surface to ensure a good look. He carefully taped off the area to protect the surroundings, then scraped out the rusty area and filled the area. Once the filler was dry, he sanded it and sprayed the top surface with an air brush. The repair was completed super fast and looks amazing! You literally cannot tell where it was damaged at all. The price was very reasonable as well. I'm really glad I opted for Miracle Method since new tubs are so expensive! Our tub looks like new and we get to maintain the great character of having a tub original to the house. (Note: You have to wait 48 hours after the repair before you can use the tub, so if that's your only bathing location, plan accordingly!) read more

March 2012: Great job done by Miracle Method who was hired by A Finished Home (Brian Kozera general contractor) to refinished a 1964 tub. Very professional, took care covering the rest of the newly renovated bathroom. The old tub top edge was very rough & marred from the shower door rails which they smoothed that out very well. Tub looks great, cannot tell there were shower doors! The tub did get scratched by flooring installers who had carelessly placed the toilet in it while the floors were being done. Miracle Method will be the ones to do the repairs as that is whom the flooring business prefers. I could not see the original color coming through the scratch but can see and feel the scratch. So a pretty thick coat of refinishing material is used. But am concerned as to the warranty being void due to damage. read more

These guys are awesome! We had a very outdated bathroom that needed both an aesthetic and a functional upgrade for the tub and surround. We looked into just gutting the bathroom and replacing the tub/tile, we looked into other refinishing services, and even considered acrylic molds like Bath Fitter and every other option would have been a minimum of 2x as expensive, some 3x. For $1300, James came out for about a total of 6-8 hours over the course two days and completely refinished our tub and tile and upgraded our bathroom by about 50 years. James was timely and punctual, professional, kind, courteous, and most of all prompt. He did a fantastic and careful job of taping off the walls and floors and bathroom features and did a great job of cleaning up before and after. Other than a lingering smell (minor), and the complete 180 in the bathroom, we would never have known he had come through. We really couldn't be happier with the results. The entire MM team from Dean to Dave to Rob were very responsive to calls and emails with questions and concerns - it never took more than about half an hour to hear back from them. read more

We had a pink and grey tile bathroom from 1951 and it was a mess. The tile was chipped, cracked, and poorly patched by the previous owner. The bathtub, after 60 years of use, had lost most of its original finish and was dull and pitted. We initially looked at stripping the bathroom down to the studs, but the cost was prohibitive. Instead, we turned to tile and tub refinishing. We had three companies come out to give us an estimate. Yet, when Dave, the owner of Miracle Method, came out, I found he had an instant understanding of our needs. Simply stated, we wanted it to look brand new. Dave was attentive to detail and addressed our concerns with the problem tile. Finally, Dave gave us sound advice in color and finish selection. The process to refinish the tile and tub took about two days. The installer, also attentive to detail, did everything Dave said he would. All of the cracks, pits, chips, and the poorly filled holes were refilled and smoothed out. I can't even see where any of these previous flaws existed anymore. Yes, it looks brand new. The installer also took great care in making sure the rest of the house stayed clean during the refinishing. When the installer finished the job, the newly sprayed bathroom was clean as a whistle, too. The finished product has fooled our friends and family into thinking we spent a fortune to replace everything. Our pocketbook knows the truth. We saved 70% from the original tear-it-all-out estimate. I equate bathroom refinishing like repainting a car. Yeah, if you scrub hard enough with an abrasive cleaner, you'll get down to the original color. But, if you take care of it by keeping it clean and not having Superman scrub it, there is no reason to worry. In summary, I highly recommend Miracle Method and can provide an example of its work. Dave Gallagher and company were wonderful to work with. His staff was always pleasant, professional and patient. They communicate well with each other so that the clients don't get 'lost in the shuffle' when they have questions or concerns. As for the work itself, Miracle Method painted three tubs (one a jacuzzi tub), and a shower stall and surrounding tile and surfaces in three of our bathrooms. . We had a fairly tight timeline and they accommodated this for us as much as possible. There were some issues with one tub that had some broken pieces and scratches on the surface. You cannot see them at all, looks like new and Dave didn't even charge us for the special treatment for that. Don't plan to move again anytime soon nor refinish our bathrooms, but if I did, I would not hesitate to use Miracle Method, Concord again and again. read more

In these crazy Covid times, really appreciated how careful the folks at Miracle Method were. William and Hector arrived right on time, masked and with shoe coverings (it was raining buckets). They did a fantastic job redoing the tub and shower tile as well as the vanity top. I hated the coarse grout that shredded a sponge instantly and wanted to have everything white, bright and smooth. William did the spray job and made the whole bathroom look new...I had looked into replacing the tile completely (very expensive and no shower usage for a week at best). What a great job they did and best of all, with a great attitude and smile. William transformed our sad looking bathroom into something I love. We have two sinks in our 1920s cottage, one in our kitchen and the other in our tenant's unit. Both had taken a beating over the decades and were severely discolored and chipping. But replacing them was too expensive and would have ruined the surrounding historic tile. We're also aiming, whenever possible, to uncover and restore the house's original charm, not replace it w/new, often more cheaply made, products. That said, we had a hard time finding a company or plumber who would restore the sinks. We found Miracle Method on the Berkeley Parents Network, our trusted guide for just about everything. They were friendly and responsive on the phone and amenable to working with our tight budget. They also scheduled us w/in two weeks and not only showed up, but showed up on time and completed the work within a day. I can't tell you how many different companies, repairmen, etc. just never show up after I've spent so much time securing their services and taken work off to meet them. The Miracle employee was super friendly. He meticulously protected the surroundings and cleaned up the house well when he was done. The sinks look brand spankin' new. He was also very informative about the toxicity of the process and what cleaning products to use from here on out to preserve the work. They also extended our warranty. This was my second time using miracle method. I have several rental properties so this is something I need to do often. Unfortunately this time around wasn't as good as the first. The tub and tile like look ok but have small holes and scratches all over. They said they would protect everything but when the job was done there was white dust all over everything. All over my new floor, new toilet, new light fixture, and new vanity and counter. They also tape around the handle and escutcheon so I'm worried if I want to replace or update the parts I will pull the new coating off, or it may have a different color if the size is not exact. This is just cutting corners. It's 1 screw to remove most handles and the escutcheon slides off or has its own screw or two. Pretty disappointing, thankfully it's a rental. read more
