This place is a real jem. I needed to find a Christmas gift for my mother and I've probably walked past this place a million times while going to the liquor store next door and I always 100% of the time, marvel at the beautiful, beautiful clothes. However, I'm plus-sized so generally most fancy-smancy clothing stores are off limits for me, but I decided to go in and explore, for my mother's sake. I was extremely impressed with the beautiful clothes I found inside. Very modern and fun--I also liked that there weren't only 3 things hanging on each rack--instead I found lots and lots of clothes which unfortunately, being a size 18/20, I couldn't wear. I wept internally and started having visions of going to the gym so I could fit into these pretty clothes. However, there was something amazing that caught my eye. CUTE purses--very modern and cool but with a sophisticated put-togetherness about them. I loved the bright colors in the entire store--and many of the outfits/accesorries/purses used bold, bright prints with a refined look about them. I found something for my mother which had a more serious tone to it, however this is the young professionals secret lair--very young, bright, and often flirty. This is the single social girls haven.
The girls in the store couldn't be nicer. They said hello and let me browse and when I picked up the purse which really spoke to me as a gift for my mother I felt sort of proud holding it--like wow--this is an EXCELLENT purse which I wish wasn't a gift. However, I did snag a gift for myself a beautiful necklace with a giant red tear drop shaped jewel that was only about 28 dollars, an excellent price, I thought considering that many boutiques have things that cost twice that price. The purse I bought was a beautiful print--sophisticated with a bright edge to it without being overly-there. I loved all the scarves, accessories. I'll definately be back for gift shopping and for myself.
LOVED the warm, friendly feeling. You could tell that they loved the store--which really shined through the clothes and the items they selected. I saw other girls shopping happily--and the owners/retail clerks seemed so glad to help. The girl who helped me even wrapped the bag for my mom, which was a big help--but they were quick, too. All very good things especially when I'm tired after work.
You must check out this beautiful little boutique in Coolidge Corner. I'm sad I never visited until now. I know that these girls read these Yelp reviews because I asked them toward the end and I think it would be awesome if you could get some plus-sized selections for your store so I could shop there--but I'll be back a million times over for the accessories. read more
