** Do Not Go To Minor Auto Care ** Failed in basic Automotive Electrical Wiring, not only did they not know how, they ruined a high quality automotive wiring kit, they cut wires that they had no clue about, failed to install wires in the kit, and did not read the installation instructions. Drilled a hole for wiring in the floor board and no grommet. Left the ECM on the fender rather than mounted in the vehicle. Got the vehicle running at shop, but when vehicle arrived it did not run. Fried and blew the ECM (computer) Fried a Custom performance chip. Said he filled the fluids, and did not. Said he fixed the brakes, but leaking brake fluid and missing parts. Chipped the paint in numerous areas (Also see Nick T review 09/28/18) Eric appears to be a straight shooter, except when his shop fails and delays due to their professional errors. We all have bad stories about mechanics that did us wrong. Well, that is over. You have found the right guys. We have a business and a large family so we need help from time to time. A good friend in the auto business recommended Eric at MAC to me. We tried him out. They offered better, faster service parts and were less than than the competition. Not to mention they are sooooo nice. Its a shame I can only give 5 STARS. For us they have replaced a motor and fixed the heater on a 2009 Mustang, Power steering hose for a 2005 Passat (Impossible to reach), Transfer case on my 4x4 truck and just saved our 2014 Challenger that sucked up rain water into the motor and completely vapor locked when my daughter drove through a giant puddle. I had a bad experience with minor auto care. I left my 32 ford for them to run a/c lines and they scratched my hood, did not make the hood line up correctly and did a terrible job on running the condensation tube for the a/c unit. I was told it would be 1 week but ended up being 2 which is not a big deal to me but the scratched hood and tube were deal breakers. The car runs hot now and fans do not come on when they are supposed to. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because they offered to put touch up paint on the scratches but I am not interested in bringing my car back to them. I see a lot of good ratings so I must have caught them on a bad week. I will not be back . read more

wow, this place is the real deal I came here on the recommendation of a friend who sells autoparts (ccp) I'd been burnt by mechanics in the past, but this place was honest as can be and at a fair price. I went with my cousin to pick up her moped from this shop. She brought it here more than 6 months ago. She had been calling to check in on it with no response. Finally she called to just pick it up and again, no reply. We finally went to get it. His response... "Oh, I wasn't expecting you." Really? He brought it out and it was in worse shape that it was brought in. The engine casing was off, we had to ask them to find it, as it was brought in with it on. He told us that the carburetor was missing parts. The carburetor was not the reason it was brought in for and had previously not had a problem. Said he was only able to look at it on his "off" time, even though it wasn't a charity project and he was going to be paid for his work. Very unprofessional. The best part was as he was helping us load it in the truck he says... "If you want to unload it, I'll buy it off you." Seriously? What about that story about how the parts are unavailable, and how you couldn't fix it?? How about you do your job. Or let your customer know you are not capable. And return a phone call. I would never bring my car or anything else here. read more

I have a 1998 Corolla that had an issue with the brake lights not turning off after the brake pedal was released. Took it to a couple of auto shops to get their opinion. They said that it must be an electrical issue and they don't do electrical. They suggested to take the car to a Toyota dealership. Knowing how expensive the dealership work is going to be, I decided to try this local mechanic shop MCA. I gave them a call first thing next morning and they said bring it in and we'll take a look at it the same morning. Eric looked at the car himself and after a couple of minutes, determined that there is no electrical issue: the brake pedal was simply bent too much and so in a released position it was not making contact with the switch that turns off the brake pedal. He suggested that there is a simple solution for it and it will take about an hour and $100 and the car should be ready before noon to pickup. He asked me if I want him to work on it and I said yes. A couple of hours later I got a call that the car is ready. In short, he is an HONEST, knowledgeable, helpful, and polite mechanic with fair prices. I will take any of my cars to him next time they had any issues. read more

This place is awesome !! Trust me, if my wife likes this place then you don't need to shop around. Since she has gotten burned by reputable dealers, she is the mother of all researchers and is very careful. We heard about this place from someone who highly recommended them. I called and talked to Eric who was fantastic. Then my wife called him and pretty much conducted an interview...if they were in the same room she likely would have had a bright light shining on him LOL. When there is nothing to hide and your honest, it was easy for Eric to answer all her questions and pass my wife's interrogation. The 2008 Honda that my wife bought brand new has had it's share of issues. The dealers are simply to expensive and frankly not as good. She got tired of high prices, waiting to get the car in, and often problems that were not fixed causing the hassle of another trip back to the dealer. Since we started using Minor Auto Care, Eric has gotten us in surprisingly fast, provided a quote, and then repaired the car getting it back to us quickly...and they do it RIGHT They are fair, honest, great to deal with, have quality technicians, and they always do the right thing for the customer ! They ooze with integrity and I love supporting a business like this!! My Chevy Equinox was on it's last leg - perhaps beyond that point. I was referred to Eric at Minor Auto Care and he quickly and transparently diagnosed it for me, free of charge. The car had a bad transmission and head gasket. Not your typical mechanic's assessment of trying to earn the business while it might not be your best move. He candidly told me my options and actually suggested selling or junking the vehicle. I have never seen such honesty in his business and always felt he was acting with my best interest in mind. I trusted him and appreciated the advice he gave. He even allowed me a day to keep the car in his lot until I figured out a sale or where I would move it from there. By far the BEST mechanic and customer service!! I was at a light and my car started shaking and it was jerky. Of course I freak out because I have no idea what was going on (not a car person) so I drove to auto zone and they referred me to Minor Auto Care. I called and Eric said to bring it over, I didn't think I was going to make it so I just went to Firestone. They charged me $99 JUST to see what was wrong with it. then gave me paperwork and told me I needed work done that was going to cost me $2,000. there was NO WAY I was going to pay that. I called Eric again and he said to bring the car to him so I ended up getting AAA and towed it there. and let me just say that he pretty much cut that price in half!They kept me updated with what they were doing and finished sooner than I thought.
