I'm hyperventilating and projectile vomiting from the food I bought at this road side gas & eat place in Paia.... Who would have thought the chicken would've been enough to die from? Certainly not me that's for sure so that's why I ate here and the chow didn't agree with me. I don't usually get food at a gas station convenience store, but it was early morning on the Road to Hana, and we wanted to make sure we had something to eat. They were making food fresh, so we got the ham musubi and a croissant sandwich. Both were really good and hot. Prices seem high, but it is to be expected in Maui, and especially in a convenience store. read more

Visited this minit stop today to get something to drink. It's a little convenience store with many things to choose from. There parking lot had stalls ti code from as you enter from hana highway. Walk in and they have chips, candy, canned goods and so much more. They have a coke machine so yay coke products. They have fried chicken, bentos, potato wedges and musubis. They also have alcoholic beverages you can get here with a bag of ice. Friendly staff. I love you minit stop. I tell everyone that this is my favorite 5-star restaurant. Cheese tornados- absolutely fire; pizza flying saucer- a god given gift; hurricane potato wedges- unmatched. If you're on a budget, get some chili and rice. There is always an option at minit stop, and minit stop Paia is the pinnacle of all minit stops state wide. I will visit this delicious location until the day I die. Employees are friendly, and know frequent customers by name. I stopped here for a breakfast at 5am while passing through on my way up the Haleakala climb. Friendly service and great coffee, fried chicken, banana bread... everything you need to get fuelled up for a day exploring the mountain. It's perfectly located at the base of the road up Haleakala - literally at the bottom of mountain. I will be back! read more

After reading reviews here it looks like I'm not the only one popping in for fried chicken and snacks. I have bought other things here over the years but it's usually the fried chicken that keeps bringing me back. Sometimes you have to keep on moving and there's no time for a proper meal. Not really a store I would go shopping at, as there are better options in this town. But yes, the staff are usually very prompt and friendly. You can buy gas here still. Only two gas stations in Paia these days. Why only three stars? I'm still not over the fact that this franchise has taken root in Paia. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you're a visitor to Maui and on a road to Hana AVOID this place. We where in a van with 3 kids and my wife forgot her charging cable. We came in and bough a cable and I guess whomever was working overheard my wife that shes going in a nearby store to get a coffee. We where told that we could not park in the customer parking lot! Seriously.. we just bought something.. While we where getting things situated a customer came out and said that the store is calling a TOW truck! We left and reparked a few blocks away. Sad place! This review will be real brief and here is why.....they wanted 18 bucks for a STYROFOAM cooler.....18 BUCKS. One of the only places to eat cheap in Maui! After spend hundreds during the week on food, I discovered Minit Stop as a place to get gas. As I walked in, I realized that not only did they have gas, they served food as well! Fried Chicken and Spam Musubi. What more do you need? I bought a bunch of Spam Musubis at 50 cents a piece. Now, I was weary at first but it took one bite to realize that this was probably the best Spam Musubi I've had all trip long. If you are anywhere near the nice town of Paia, stop by the Minit Stop and grab a couple of Spam Musubis. Maybe it was because I was hungry and broke so for less than 5 bucks anything would have been good. A second opinion would be great. read more

We stopped here to grab a bunch of musubi before driving to Hana. Unassuming gas station store, but has a good selection of musubis. We bought a bunch and the staff was kind enough to give us a small box to transport them. The flavors we saw were: 1. Spam musubi 2. Sweet Chili spam musubi 3. Bacon egg spam musubi 4. Chicken katsu musubi Highly recommend #2 and #4. They also had other types of bento, but we did not get it. Parked in their parking lot and went in to purchase some items. I returned to my car and was sitting in my vehicle looking at maps. I was trying to figure out my next route and a customer tells me that the cashier is calling a tow because I'm parked in their lot?! Their lot says private parking for customers. I was a customer. I call this store 10-Minit stop. Always seems to be a line of customers with one employee at the check out and the other 2 or 3 talking story in the back. The chicken is good, just make sure you have time to wait while the ppl who work there pretend you're not there read more

The food quality is poor. It's gas station food, fried somewhere else and wrapped up in plastic and stuck in one of those cheap plastic display cases they use on the top of the counter in bakeries. It's open late and *there* but you can walk across the street to eat something far better and healthier. But otherwise, you can get plenty of beverage, ice cream, candy, and junk food options ... as with any gas station. :) read more

We gas up, fill up our cooler with water and ice and a couple of bags of Maui Potato chips. Don't forget their ono fried chicken and rice, spam musubi and cone sushi. The prepared food here is even cheaper than buying groceries! They pre-pack it perfect for beach chow! read more

LUV the chicken and potato wedges here. If you're old enough to remember Chico's Chicken and Pizza in Kaimuki, Minit Stop has virtually the SAME chicken and potato wedges they served back in the day. Yum!!! Plus, with many locations all over Maui, you're bound to run into one just when you get those on-the-road munchies. Now, if they'd just come over to Oahu...sigh. One can only wish. read more

I can't believe this place. The workers are horrible. When I walk in to the store and buying some groceries I hear the workers start speaking different launguge and laughing. So I turned around and looked at them then they stop talking. I could feel that they were talking about me. They should not be doing this to the costumer. I bet these workers do those things alot. Best place for cheap food but big portions. Chicken Katsu was a must get when you stop here in addition to the hamburger patties with gravy over rice. Oh and we also got the chicken skin. Best crunch and flavor. Give it a try. read more
