Nice that it's always open later than most other nail salons. I booked a mani/pedi for a girlfriend and I so we could get pampered and catch up. Her technician was great. Mine was friendly but aggressive with cuticles and filing. I was cut three times total and it was a huge disappointment. One cut was like a paper cut right across the tip of my fourth finger. Plus, my nails look sloppier than other manicures I've had. As my girlfriend and I were chatting, my technician would regularly interject in the conversation. I've had wonderful experiences at other Miniluxe locations but I doubt I'll come back to this one. read more

I want to start by saying I've been to both the west village and uptown locations multiple times for pedis/manis and have never had an issue. I've always found miniluxe extremely clean, professional and been happy with each artists work. I went to the North Park location today for an event but didn't need my nails done so I decided on a wax & tint. As you can see in the photos, there are layers ripped off my skin. The waxer did mention she works at another location typically but I don't think it was necessarily her fault. I'm not sure if it's the wax they use, my own skin's reaction or a combination but wanted to share. Again, I've loved all my previous experiences with other services but felt I needed to put this out there. PS - I usually go to Benefit for my regular brow waxes and tints and have never had a reaction. read more

This location is inside the mall near the food court and Macy's. I've been here twice for gel pedicures (and I've been to the west village location once as well). I love going and I've been very pleased with the quality. Good music, very relaxing, they have complementary white wine, water, and tea. I love that you can book online in advance, and that there are multiple locations. They are open pretty late, which is super convenient for weekdays! I love this place, will 100% be back. read more

I scheduled an appointment day of on a Sunday afternoon. From what I observed, you pretty much have to have an appointment. They stick to a pretty tight schedule and don't have a lot of room for walk-ins. I got a performance polish manicure and was very pleased. The polish has held up with only one small chip for 9 days so far (they said they'll fix any chips within 5 days of the appointment). The white color has started to discolor a little bit, looking a little off white. I would consider doing a darker color next time that maybe wouldn't discolor as much. Overall I am very pleased with the final product. The manicure itself was fine- not necessarily worth the extra $15 over what I would pay at other salons. But I think the extra charge for the performance polish was certainly worth it given that I don't usually do gel/dip elsewhere. read more

If I could give this place 3.5 stars, I would. The place is very clean, cute, and has very kind staff. They give complimentary tea, water, and white wine. The girl was super friendly and nice to talk to. My issue however, is that it just isn't THAT good of a deal. I paid around $80 for a mani pedi. The mani is supposed to last up to 2 weeks. It lasted about a week and a half with no chipping, so that is pretty good. The toes are still going super strong. But the problem I have is that the girl didn't push my cuticles back at all! It looked like I need a fill after just a couple of days before it started chipping. My thumb nail had bubbles in it and the squoval cut just looked bad. I don't get my nails cut often, but the price seems a bit extreme. read more

As a nail technician myself living in Austin, I have high expectations the moment I walk in the door. I know how appointments work, I know certain salons such as this one have to do what they can with the amount of time they are given. Because I was a little late and am not from Dallas, they accommodated my length of time and still were able to give me a full service. I must say I am a picky picky client when I get my nails done. I had Lauren as my technician and I must say she did an amazing job. Although it may not mean much to people, I as a technician am a perfectionist and am very meticulous and she did great and made sure to provide my every need. Sweet lady, as well as kept I her talking (hehe). I absolutely love my gel manicure and love the color choices the salon had. As for front desk, I loved that she called me once she noticed I was running late and as always explained why I wasn't making it on time. I didn't catch her name but very sweet girl as well as being offered something to drink right away. I felt welcome. I've been to two different locations and haven't been let down. I have always wanted to get my nails done here. So I was at NorthPark and went here. I met Anna. She is very calm and has cool glasses and great ideas to help ur nails and hands look their best. First, she had us both sanitize our hands. I mean that is a good idea and I have never had a manicurist do that. Then Anna looked at both my hands carefully and then gently filed them and then soaked my fingers in a lovely silky milky bath. At Mini luxe, their nail and hand lotions and cleansing products are vegan and they aren't smelly. Anna then proceeded to clip file massage and paint my nails. It was amazing. I thought it would be expensive but not really. I mean it's pricier than most manicures but not ridiculously high. I'd go back. If you go there ask for Anna!! Enjoy your MiniLuxe vacation! read more

Where has this place been all of my life??? I was at the mall shopping and stumbled across this place. It's such a welcoming environment, clean and so chic! I love me some rose gold EVERYTHING!! My friend and I both got pedicures and decided to upgrade to their quick-dry polish, I think they call it their Performance Polish.. and OH MY GAWD!!! It really dries in 5 minutes!! We were able to put our boots on and skip on out of there!! Very reasonably priced and everyone is so friendly! We will definitely be back! P.S. They also serve wine!! read more

I've been here several times and always had a fantastic experience! I can book my appointments online with my preferred Nail Designer, there's no language barrier here, and my services always start on time and end with perfect nails! It's the same price or better as those other places but I have never left here with a smudged nail or cut. It's definitely worth the extra money to get the fast drying Performance polish! It dries in about 5 minutes without a light or dryer and last on my nails for more than a week! I got a gel manicure for my wedding and it lasted for 3 weeks before the polish started showing wear! Even though my nails started growing out I did not have that annoying gap that caused anything to snag on my nails. AMAZING! If you had a bad experience here I would recommend you try again here or another location just because I love the concept of Miniluxe. read more

It's been awhile since I've had a manicure honestly. My cuticles looked and felt like like they were caught in a blender full of razor blades and lime juice ready for a side of tequila. Or when that honey badger knawed on my hands last weekend after passing out on McKinney street. I don't know which ones worse. You know when you go to stick your hand into your pocket and your cuticle gets caught on it and rips (also bleeds) then reminds you how you should always moisturize your skin after taking a hot shower? Yeah I dont ever remember to. Thankfully the lovely lady named Karemil (yeah, kinda like the candy) was able to resurrect my hands from this cold dead world. I now have all feelings in my cuticles and I am not afraid of any pockets anymore. KAREMIL YOU HAVE OPENED MY EYES TO A WHOLE NEW WORLD. So, I'm giving this salon a 5. Not a strong five. But not a weak five either. The sort of 5 that actively worked out for the high school football team, but then spent college taking it easy, drinking Irish Car Bombs, and now, years later plays Ultimate Frisbee on the weekends and sometimes runs on the Katy trail in the evenings, if not doing Yoga in uptown. read more

I got the performance polish "pumped in purple" that lasts for 3 weeks and no UV light. It is 10 dollars more but worth it. A modern little spot to relax have a drink and get pampered. They accept walk ins but are always booked so call ahead and get an appointment to secure your spot. There are no massage chairs but the seating is comfortable and relaxing. read more

They did a nice job, but was not worth the $120 for JUST manicure gel extensions. I have been to other nail salons that can do more than what this place offers for much less than what I paid for. It also took 2 hours because they didn't have the proper tools to remove my dip extensions. I love Miniluxe and I've been following them since they first started and how their business plan is to treat their employees right and give them a living salary. Even though it cost more than your average nail place, I support them and their ideal work environment. However, this location falls short of that plan. I can hear the supervisor belittling their workers. That is not the culture of Miniluxe. If the investors knew how this location is run, they would pull out immediately. With that being said....the service is nice. The girls who worked on me are also nice but .... here is the big but.... but they are told to rush every job. I can understand that time is money but repeat customer and happy customer is money too. If you treat your customer like they are just a number then this place is no better than the thousands of cheaper nail place in the city. I feel that the other location on Preston Center or Uptown or even Highland Park offers a much better environment and experience. Here's a secret....your customers can tell if the employees are happy and if you are treating your employees right. read more

Rude, dismissive staff. Didn't care about keeping appointment time. I had an appointment and was there on time, said hello to the receptionist twice but was ignored until she finished her text. I was then kept waiting for 20 minutes past my appointment time, parked in the back, "soaking" in cold water. When I finally got tired of waiting, I dried off, went around to her again, and told her it was twenty minutes past my appointment. She waved her hand in the direction of the manicure tech and said, "She's still with another customer." I said, "I had an appointment for 9.30, its 20 minutes after that now."
