Ordered delivery through DoorDash. Seemed fine. The food is probably a little better than average for a basic Chinese takeout restaurant. Portions are maybe somewhat smaller, though it's hard to tell sometimes with DoorDash since some of the fees are hidden (they usually increase the price of each item vs ordering in-person). I do know of a better place nearby, but if I didn't, I would order from here again.

Ordered curry fried rice for delivery and specified--No seafood--low and behold it had shrimp. Thankfully the shrimp was right on top so I didn't take a bite. When I call the restaurant, the lady claimed I didn't specify "no seafood" and that the dish comes with shrimp so I should specify. My family and I have been patronizing this restaurant for over a decade back when it was called Mr. Zheng's kitchen. I have order this dish as well as the Singapore Mei fun without seafood and never had a problem. I threw out the chicken in garlic sauce as well because my tongue and lower lip started tingling--possible cross contamination--or it could be the pepper, I guess I'll find out which if I start to vomit. I will NEVER AGAIN patronize this business!

I have been eating from this restaurant for a while now. Not too bad but look what I found. A plastic wrap wtf. Very disappointed never eat from it again.

    Great people work here.

It's a great restaurant that's fulled with good people, so I enjoy stopping by for something to eat, and the food makes the trip worth it.

Tiny portion of meat and vegetables. Mostly rice.

Their food is okay, but their portions are small compared to other Chinese takeout spots.

I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

It has a nice interior and I suspect may get busy during peak hours, although I was able to slip in at the bar just fine. I tried the Lucky Coin tofu. It was good! We had the lucky coin tofu and the mala squid and chives (not pictured because I forgot lol) I loved the texture each and it made a great combo. The only con is that they charge for rice, which to me is a very cheap move. You know that nobody is going to eat this without rice! Why are we charging? My local takeout Chinese doesn't charge, so why should an upscale restaurant charge? I've been meaning to come to this place for a while and was not disappointed! The service was great. My friend wanted an IPA, but they ran out of the beer. She asked for a recommendation and the server ended up going to the kitchen and specifically finding an IPA for her. I had a sip and it was quite good! The restaurant was beautiful with lots of space! The seats were very comfy. I appreciate how they actually gave us good seats. Usually, restaurants will put you in the corner even if it's a full restaurant because it's convenient to them.

The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. Yeah, a rather disappointing visit. Not the worst I've ever had but could be so much better.

I got the wonton soup and pork juicy buns. The soup was different from other wonton soups with the addition of cilantro and some nice balancing flavors for the salt, and the juicy buns were your classic soup dumplings with a very nice rich sauce to dip in. The dandan noodles my friend ordered were maybe my favorite, they were the perfect level of spicy and so flavorful without being overwhelming. I'd go back just for my own plate of those. The service was quite fast, and it's a cute little shop that feels like a small town Chinese restaurant. Very reasonably priced as well. Some of my favorite Chinese food I've found outside of Lower Manhattan !

Especially after seeing more videos promoting it on social media. It is located in a food hall and is the first stall on the right side. I ordered an array of recommended items: Marathon Signature Pork Cutlet over Spaghetti with Black Pepper Sauce ($20) - The spaghetti was cooked al dente and coated in a decent black pepper sauce. I appreciate that the cutlet was not thin there was enough sauce, and there was a good portion size. Hong Kong Style Macaroni in Tomato Soup with Beef and Onsen Egg ($16.50) - I was not a fan of this one. I'm used to the traditional HK macaroni soup with ham and a fried egg, so maybe this version of the dish just did not work for me. And the beef slices were tasteless and dry. Bolo Bun Cod Fish Burger ($14) - This was my favorite of the items. The bolo bun gave a bit of crisp and sweetness to the fish cutlet. There is a little too much sauce for me, but you can easily wipe some off. Crispy Chicken Wings (4pc for $11) - The wings were pretty tasteless on their own, but I enjoyed pairing it with the sauce. I did have to take it home and heat it up a little more though because the inside seemed a little pink and I wanted to be safe. Sweetened Ice Lemon Tea ($6) - I ordered this with less sweetness, but I think I should have ordered the normal level. It was decent, but something felt missing due to it. Overall, I would only go back for the fish burger. I've had better at other HK Cafes for everything else. But I like how the food hall had more seating down stairs and it's very clean. There is a 2-stall bathroom for men and women, as well.
