On Dec. 18,2025 I came to this small restaurant and I was very hungry. I ordered the special lunch menu of roast pork, steamed broccoli and brown rice and paid $6.72. These are my comments: although the service was fast, and the presentation was kindda nice, the roast pork was old and tough. The 2 flowerets of broccoli was tough too. But because I was very hungry, I consumed it even though I have to use my bare hands to pull apart the roast pork. I was not happy at all. I gave my comments to a Chinese lady and she denied that the meat was old. She recommended that I should tell the chef to make the meat tender. But isn't that strange? They should serve food that is palatable even though its a special item. Because of this experience, I will NEVER return to this restaurant again and I DO NOT recommend this to anybody. Ordered delivery through DoorDash. Seemed fine. The food is probably a little better than average for a basic Chinese takeout restaurant. Portions are maybe somewhat smaller, though it's hard to tell sometimes with DoorDash since some of the fees are hidden (they usually increase the price of each item vs ordering in-person). I do know of a better place nearby, but if I didn't, I would order from here again. read more

Ordered curry fried rice for delivery and specified--No seafood--low and behold it had shrimp. Thankfully the shrimp was right on top so I didn't take a bite. When I call the restaurant, the lady claimed I didn't specify "no seafood" and that the dish comes with shrimp so I should specify. My family and I have been patronizing this restaurant for over a decade back when it was called Mr. Zheng's kitchen. I have order this dish as well as the Singapore Mei fun without seafood and never had a problem. I threw out the chicken in garlic sauce as well because my tongue and lower lip started tingling--possible cross contamination--or it could be the pepper, I guess I'll find out which if I start to vomit. Call to place an order. Woman answers and put me on hold. She talking to a customer. Sounds like she got their order wrong. I hang up, I now in front of the location. Place my order, she repeats it correctly. 20 mins. later my order is not correct, she's arguing with me. I know what I ordered! Annoyed now, I want my money back. The woman says "take your stinking money, I don't care"! Seriously?! If my parents had not raised me right, she would've been punched in the face. I've been ordering from Ming's for several years now and I can honestly say it's a cut above the rest of the "fast food" Chinese take out joints in the area. The lady that picks up the phone is always in a good mood even when swamped with orders especially on crappy weather days. They save your phone number/ address so you save time and aggravation from repeating yourself over and over again. Ming's is great because their food is always consistent in their taste and quality. I normally order their Sesame Shrimp over White Rice , a Chicken Corn Soup and a Singapore Mai Fun which comes with a Free Soda since it's over $15. The entire meal plus a good tip comes out to 20 bucks. The shrimp comes breaded perfectly and are huge. I recently stumbled upon their Shrimp Lo Mein and I can honestly say that it's the best I've had for a while. The order isn't drowned in oil and it comes with lots of clean, deveined shrimp. On a rainy/ snowy/ lazy I can not cook and I don't care about eating healthy day, order from Ming's. read more

So generally speaking, "everybody loves Chinese food," right?!?! WRONG!!! I'm Chinese and obviously I've eaten Chinese food all my damn life. I remember days when i used to look forward to eating a box of Chinese food. But the quality of Chinese takeout has declined so much over the last few decades: 1) there's never any love/skill in the cooking 2) always too much bad oil (sometimes oil can be good and mighty tasty!) 3) the food is always super sweet 4) the food is always super glazey like it's radioactive (could be from the oil?) As for Ming's, it's a mediocre establishment. The best thing would be their cheap lunch specials which start at $5. Okay..so this isn't exactly the kind of food you would get from Flushing. Ming is just your local shrimp w./ broccoli and seseame chicken joint. Ever since I've moved to the Corona / Elmhurst area I've been trying to look for new menus to add to my collection. This one definitely makes the cut. Why I love Ming's : 1. They use less oil than any of the Chinese takeout places nearby. 2. Brown rice is an option on its lunch special. 3. They deliver to my apartment when I order a lunch special ($5.95) even though the delivery minimum is $7. (show your gratitude..tip well) 4. Food is NOT drowned in sauce. 5. Diet special (no salt, oil, sugar, or starch) is included in the lunch special. 6. The lady picking up the phone is always happy to take your order. 7. They received an A on their health inspection. There needs to be more places like Ming's Chinese Kitchen in Manhattan. Granted, it's your typical Chinese takeout, HOWEVER, this is the only Chinese takeout I know where my food isn't drenched in sauce. All the food is done here perfectly, and the people at restaurant are ridiculously nice! It's been doing well for awhile now, and I'm really proud of its success! No seriously, though, they need to teach other Chinese takeouts how to NOT drown the Chinese food in sauce. Definitely recommend any lo mein order there! read more

Love this place. If you're into spicy food as I am, just order Chicken with Hot pepper. They put whole red peppers in it and it tastes fantastic. Get the lunch special with soda or soup. Their Hot and sour soup will cure you of your stuff nose. All for 5:50. I definitely recommend this place. Lots of other great stuff for a good price. No seating- but really if you're eating chinese food that's not authentic, it's better for takeout. Things to avoid though: Chicken with garlic sauce, and wonton soup. read more

Just ordered for delivery and so upsetting that the clear signs in my apartment building were not enough to guide the delivery guy to bring my food. Therefore I watched him from the balcony about to drive on his blue scooter away with my food! this place is very cheap with the meat. If you order pork fried rice it literally only have a few pieces of meat. You barely see it in the rice. If you order shrimp fried rice you may get three small pieces of shrimp, four if you lucky. Chicken and broccoli is mostly broccoli, very little chicken. The food is a bit bland. And they are cheap with the sauces as well. I'm surprised they are so cheap since there is a lot of competition in the area. They used to be better. I used to order from them all the time. Never disappoints. Extremely quick delivery, not once did I wait more than 15 minutes even though I live fairly close, I still appreciate the quick response.
