    Cool tea.

It's been awhile since we ate here and decided to return to some good Burmese food. The Mango salad was way too tart for me. It's not the mango season yet so I should know better that it's not gonna be sweet. The Beef Rangoon was lovely. The parantha with curry sauce for appetizers was hands down and always the best. Always save the sauce for great accompaniment for other dishes. The Prawns Seafood was a bit spicy and too tangy to my liking, I did like the okra addition but the dish didn't please me overall. The Thai iced tea was delightful. The dishes we ordered wasn't consistent with ones I enjoyed in the past. Maybe I should stick with the dishes that I'm used to. You are forgiven because I know some of your dishes are amazing. The service was polite and accommodating.

tldr: Mostly delicious and well presented Burmese cuisine with Chinese flair. Very good overall experience. We got four items with two Parathas from the menu to share. Total: $113 before tax and gratuity Paratha 4.5 It was soft, flaky, with a rich buttery taste. Paired with a curry dipping sauce it was an appetizer winner. Burmese Style Curry Beef 3.5 We really wanted to like this dish. It was flavorful but sadly the beef was a bit too tough and chewy. Basil Spicy Chicken 5 The STAR of the show! The chicken was not only flavorful, but it was super juicy and cooked to perfection. Not an easy feat to achieve with chicken breast meat. Pan Fried String Bean 4 As what you can expect. The strange beans were cooked well and it didn't have that usually muddy flavor from undercook string beans. It was also well seasons and had a light crisp to it. Needless to say, we will be returning soon to try other dishes.

I am in town for some business meetings, one of our ex executive leaders, lives in the area and recommended. We try Burmese cuisine... Gosh, we were not disappointed. The recommended dish is any of their basil sauce, dishes several of us at the table enjoyed the basil dishes. They definitely had some bites that were a little spicy, but in a very good way... I enjoyed the spicy basil chicken and it was very good and I love how fresh the vegetables are... You had a choice of three ways of Rice... selected the coconut rice.... oh the flavor is coming together were so good We also enjoyed some appetizers that were really delicious. I think the key is in the sauce that comes with all of the side dishes. Service was really quick. We were definitely not waiting long for any of our meals and they came out piping hot. The ambience is really cozy. The space is small but that's what makes it so awesome and it's right in the center of a little bit of a shopping district that was cozy. I think the biggest treat of the night was the jasmine tea... I love the concept of how it comes out and you wait for the bloom of the flower to know your tea is ready to drink... That was the star of the evening... But the food was good too

Overall, thought the food was pretty good here, but the portion sizes were a little on the small side for sharing with a decent sized group (6). Ordered these items - Paratha Regular Catfish Chowder without Noodles Large Coconut Chicken Soup with Noodles Tea Leaf Salad Burmese Style Curry Lamb Pan Fried Okra Tofu House Special Noodle with Chicken Rangoon Beef Thought the standouts were - Paratha - hard to go wrong with this one at most restaurants Rangoon Beef - kind of reminiscent of Peking-style Pork Chops Coconut Chicken Soup - coconut curry noodle soup bowl

Food quality and flavor was okay. Some of the dishes were overly salty for my taste. I know Burmese food to be full of spices, but I don't remember things tasting this salty at other Burmese places that I've been to? We ordered many dishes to share and most of what we ordered were the most popular dishes as mentioned in other reviews. Portion sizes were really really small, except for the lamb curry which was decent size. Ambiance and service were fine. But overall an underwhelming experience for me.

What a delicious delicious meal! I've found my new fav Burmese restaurant and I couldn't be more excited. Every item was so well spiced and tasty - we got the paratha, noodle coconut chicken soup, basil pork and tea leaf salad. U went home with a full and happy stomach. Big shout out to July for her incredible service and warmth - cannot wait to be back!

Burmese Chinese food is comfort and flavor. Of course tea leaf salad is a must but all the dishes were flavorful and varied. It's a little pricier for Burmese-Chinese but in a great location and no surprise it's packed to the gills during peak dining times.

I went here with coworkers, after a team activity and we got lucky: we were seated almost as quickly as we got there, and right before there was a clear line out the door 15 minutes later. There's a tablet for waitlisting by the door, but it's fairly out of shape and probably best if you tell the staff inside that you have a party you want on the list. Interior is cozy, and tight but bigger on the inside than what the storefront looks like. Good selection of food and we were able to accommodate the variety of dietary restrictions my coworkers had between several dishes and the wait staff were fantastic with helping identify what would work well for the group. The dish sizes were large. Definitely go for family style with the plates.

Four stars (for now) only because haven't been here in person. I have enjoyed the food via delivery and it was so tasty and the portions were generous - I felt like I needed to document it! I plan to visit in person soon.

I've been coming here for years, and if I'm craving Burmese food, this is the spot. The food has always been consistently delicious, and while prices have gone up (hello 2020s), I still think it's absolutely worth it. Came by with a friend around 6:30pm on a Thursday and we were seated quickly since it wasn't too busy yet. The service here has always stood out to me - genuinely friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. You can tell they care about making your experience a great one. My friend got the mango lassi, and I had the lychee coconut basil drink; both were super refreshing. For food, we shared the lap pat dok (tea leaf salad, always a must!), house special noodle with tofu, Burmese-style beef curry, and a side of coconut rice. The curry dish looked small at first glance, but the bowl was deep and it was plenty for the both of us. Tender meat, bold flavors, and just overall amazing. The vibe here is casual and welcoming so this is a great spot to catch up with friends over a hearty, flavorful meal like I did. I'll always recommend this place - it never disappoints!

I came here on a weekend and it was packed! The wait wasn't too long. The wait was about 15-20 minutes. I ordered the pancake, tea leaf salad, house noodles, and pumpkin curry. My favorite was the pancake, house noodles and pumpkin curry! They were full of flavors and the texture was so soft and chewy. Definitely a busy place, the workers are always quick and on top of things.

It's alright. I only had Burmese food a couple times so I'm not confident in dictating what's authentic and not. I thought the food was pretty good here but damn is it expensive and the portions are TINY. Whenever you get Burmese food, the tea leaf salad is a must which was yummy. We also got the Burmese style noodles which were flavorful and refreshing. Service was quick and attentive. We got seated right away. I don't know if I'd come back. My boyfriend and I purely came here out of convenience.

TLDR : Great food, nice ambience, quick service. Not recommended if you are looking for an elaborate dinner experience and want to spend time with your friends over dinner as there is a 90 min time limit per table. We loved the food! Tried their salads - mango, papaya and tea leaf salad and each of the salads were amazing! The mains were good with amazing flavors. The Singapore noodles was the best. Overall loved it!

The eggplant we got was also insanely flavorful and well-seasoned, and I would get this again in a heartbeat. The minty jalapeno chicken made me want to try to recreate this dish at home. The spring rolls were also very good, but pretty standard, so it's not a must-try, but they're great if you're craving something deep fried and crispy. Omg, the coconut rice. The Burma house noodles were too sweet and funky for my family and my taste, not savory enough or nutty enough (it did reheat better the next day and somehow tasted a bit better). Tea leaf salad was decent, nothing wow about it, probably from a decent quality salad kit if I had to guess. Especially considering how quickly the two we ordered came out. Curious, as I've always bemoaned the general lack of Southeast Asian options around, but, for whatever reason, I would always pass by without a second thought. However, after finding out from one of my old coworkers that this was where she'd go to whenever she had cravings for her childhood favorites, I knew I had to check this place out...and come back to try even more! Ironically enough, while Ipoh's location makes them super convenient to get to (there's lots of street parking around and SamTrans, BART, and Caltrain are all a short walk away), their nondescript appearance can make them easy to miss if you aren't looking. However, inside, this place is great! The vibe is super cozy and they have tables for groups large or small. As for the menu, it's extensive and chock full of options, from staples like Hainanese Chicken, Laksa, Mee Goreng, Nasi Lemak, Char Koay Teow, and Roti Canai. With nearly 70 other appetizers, soups, noodle soups, vegetarian, poultry, seafood, beef, lamb, stir-fried noodle, rice plates, and desserts to choose from, though, that's far from all they have to offer! -- (#A01) ROTI CANAI - Malaysian Crispy Pancake with Curry Sauce I've had this a few times now (and still no photo) and it's been really tasty every time. The roti is flakey with a lot of layers to it and I LOVE the curry dipping sauce that comes with it. Definitely worth getting! -- (#NR01) CHAR KOAY TEOW - Stir-fried Flat Rice Noodles with Shrimp, Squid, Bean Sprouts, Chives, Eggs, and Soy Sauce I've had this twice and I'm a bit torn. The first time, it was terrific - the noodles were cooked well, they didn't skimp on the seafood, and the dish was straight up delicious. However, the second time, the noodles were overcooked and the dish felt light on seafood. -- (#NR07) NASI LEMAK - Coconut Rice with Peanuts, Chicken Wings, Hard Boiled Egg, Chicken Curry Acar, Onion, and Chili Paste Ehh...this was just okay. The chicken curry was rich, the chicken wing was crispy and moist, and the rice had a strong coconut flavor. Sadly, though, the rice felt a little grainy/undercooked, the acar was really tart, and I wish the chicken had more curry. -- (#N02) LAKSA MEE - Spicy Red Coconut Curry Soup with Yellow Noodles, Shredded Chicken, and Mixed Vegetables Not the best laksa I've had, but it was one of the better ones and easily one of the heftiest. Not only was there a generous amount of chicken, but there was a ton of veggies in this, too. That said, it did make this feel like it didn't have enough noodles in it. -- (#D1) MALAYSIAN ICED TEA Not quite what I expected, but not bad either. I thought this was going to be more like a regular iced tea, rather than a milk tea, but at least it wasn't overly sweet nor overly milky. -- (#P01) HAINANESE CHICKEN with Chili Ginger Sauce A bit different from Chinese Hainan Chicken, but I liked this a lot. The chicken felt meatier, was far more tender, and it didn't have a bunch of bones. I also liked that they drizzled on some soy, but it did make it a little on the salty side. -- (#V03) STRING BEANS BELACHAN - Sauteed Green Beans with Garlic, Onions, and Malaysian Shrimp Paste Sauce To be honest, this was pretty unremarkable. On the plus side, the sauce on this was good and the string beans weren't overcooked. On the other hand, the string beans could've been blistered more and could've used more of the sauce. -- (#BL03) BEEF IN GREEN CURRY with Potatoes, Eggplant, Okra, and Green Beans Other than the choice of meat (I would've preferred chicken), this was great! While I wish the curry had been richer/creamier, it tasted spot on, there was a fair amount of beef, and it was loaded with veggies. Beyond the food, service here is pretty good as well. The workers are all really nice and happy to offer suggestions/help with the menu, the kitchen gets dishes out relatively fast, and I love that they don't really try to rush people to leave even at the end of the night. Since there just don't seem to be many Malaysian restaurants in the Bay Area, it'd be easy to say that Ipoh ranks among the best. However, the things I've tried have legitimately been pretty good. Nothing in particular may have amazed, but it's more than solid and I'd absolutely come back for their Hainanese Chicken, Laksa, and the first version of the Char Koay Teow I had!

We didn't wait long for our food, we could tell from its aroma that we were in for a treat (food was delicious)! The sweetness of the coconut rice complemented the heat of the Fiery Spicy Catfish. The portion size of the White Fungus Salad and Coconut Chicken soup big enough for all 4 of us to share. The friend tofu was crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Tommy was very hospitable! He even gave us complimentary ice cream because our friends took us here. Found out that he may be relocating his restaurant soon (by Dec 2025) as the Mercedez Benz dealership beside them would like to expand which means that MB would take over the building space his restaurant is currently occupying. Very clean restaurant, make sure to stop by soon whenever in the Westborough area!

I had the crispy egg rolls and the yellow curry and both were delicious. I also had a piece of the kid's fried chicken and it was really good. The servers were courteous and always on time. Though it was Saturday noon, we found free covered parking at Menlo Center Plaza off Santa Cruz Avenue. True to online postings, this restaurant had vibrant & faux flowery decor. Our large group of 8 was seated in the main dining hall with another large group. The menus of specials and cocktails with colorful F&D photos reminded me of touristy European restaurants. I had the hot Japanese sencha while my wife got the Thai Iced tea served with a crushed iced ball on top. Roti Mataba, Crispy Egg Rolls, Farmhouse Wings and Crispy Calamari were our starters for this gang of eclectic diners. I shared with my wife the Panang Neua (braised beef in curry sauce) and Pad See You which came gorgeously plated with generous servings. We were able to sample the Crab Fried Rice and Tom Kha from our dinnermates. Ruk Na (love you) Platter was the underwhelming dessert combo of Thai Vacation, Sticky Rice (no mango), Chocolate Cake with fresh fruits and a macaron. To be described as IG worthy in the menu wasn't accurate IMO. It must've been an off-day in the kitchen when they were prepping this "leave the choice up to us" plate of sweets. Food was way flavorful than regular Thai restaurants we've been to. The common complaint is the very pricy food. The staff was nice though. They even acknowledged our request for photos. Even with the setbacks, this was a nice lunch with this group.
