    Coconut Rice ($7)
    Risa H.

The ambiance inside this restaurant is lovely - nice open area with a clean decor. The food was good - Burmese cuisine is similar to Thai with a twist. My favorite was the Roti Platha ($10) and an extra charge for the chicken curry dipping sauce and the Rainbow Spring Roll ($14) The Chilean Seabass (Inle Fisherman - $36) was a little lacking in flavor. We could have skipped the Garlic Noodles ($23), which tasted a bit funny - a bit sweet? The fact that they charged $6-7 for rice was overdone - some of these dishes should have just came with a bowl of rice. The Eggplant with Garlic Sauce ($18) was good - hard to mess that one up! Overall a good spot for Burmese cuisine in the Menlo Park area!

I haven't tried this restaurant yet, but so far I have received very good service from this place. I found out about it through their website when I was looking at it to find out more about where I could get their tea leaf salad dressing. I was hoping to get the traditional and spicy version of their sauce because I have only found the vegan version in stores. When I arrived though, they only had the packaged vegan version on hand, so they offered to hand-pack the traditional dressing they had at the restaurant to make a kit for me. I put in an order for the spicy version, and I decided to take their hand-packed traditional version to go. If you come here to buy their Tea Leaf Salad Dressing Kit, this is the advice that they gave me: call ahead to see what they have available, and if they don't have any, place a request, and it should arrive by the following Friday. The sauce at the restaurant is cheaper than what grocery stores that carry the product charge, so it's definitely worth the detour. The ambiance is upscale, and I look forward to trying the food that the restaurant prepares at a future date.

Dinner for 3 at Burma Love was enjoyable! Service was attentive and the ambiance was cute. It's also a plus that there's an underground parking to the left of the restaurant that is free for the first 2 hours. We ordered to share: - scallion pancake with kabocha dip (4.5/5) - garlic noodles with added shrimp (3/5) -- black pepper was the prominent flavor - coconut chicken curry with a side of coconut rice (4/5) - eggplant with garlic sauce (5/5) -- favorite! umami-bomb - steamed sea bass (3/5) -- was a bit bland Additionally, we can't forget the Litchi Express cocktail, which was super aesthetic and delicious. Overall it was good; though not the best Burmese food I've had, it's definitely still worth revisiting.

Came to Burma Love and enjoyed the meal. Of course we started with some cocktails and of course we went with the holiday specials. Both were good, but the Butter Moon was definitely better than the Emerald Heart. For an appetizer we decided to go with the Roti Platha. Personally, I thought the curry was too salty and a bit heavy on the spices. Personal preference, I like my chicken curry dips to be a little more coconut forward. For mains, we shared the Mohinga and the Pork Belly. Both of these were really tasty! The Mohinga had a good amount of noodles and I really enjoyed the play on textures and flavors everywhere. The pork belly was also unctuous and super tasty but the coconut rice was really overcooked unfortunately. It was basically mush. Overall, our meal was super tasty. Burma Love is a very convenient new favorite with all its locations.

We arrived here on a mid Sunday afternoon and were able to be pleasantly seated for our party of 6. The interior decor looked quite nice with sparkling chandeliers and everything looked clean. Roti 5/5: fresh, crispy, although oily. we chose the coconut chicken curry as the side which was a solid choice. It came with small chicken chunks which was a plus! Coconut chicken curry 4.5/5: the curry was so creamy and tasty! It had a slight refreshing lemongrass taste, with plenty of chicken pieces. Mohinga 4/5: this meal was definitely a generous portion size! The fish filets were well fried but remained soft on the inside, it was a bit bland though. The soup itself was very flavorful with a decent kick of spice. There were plentiful rice noodles in the dish! The prices are a bit steep, but the quality of food and service make up for it!

It is located at the new building complex across Menlo Park downtown with free underground parking which is very convenient. Their interior was modern but the tables are a but crowded. They have a good selection of cocktails and food. We love Tea Leaf salad and Mohinga.

Really great food! Cute vibe! Service was attentive but not overbearing. There is a parking garage close by. The tea leaf salad is amazing! We ordered noodles, curry. and green beans. The green beans were so flavorful I could honestly eat that entire plate myself. They have a full cocktail menu as well, but we didn't try anything on this particular visit. Definitely would come back!

Came here with a group of 5! We only got to sit outdoors and got the heat lamps. If you want indoors, definitely book ahead of time. We ordered a number of things, and even though the portions look small, but everything is rich. We were very full by the end of this. I would probably skip out on apps (but get the tea leaf salad!) and would also get the drinks. Drinks are yummy and creative, esp the mango lassi (vegan?). Service was pretty attentive despite us sitting outside. Nothing to complain there! They also valet your ticket if you park downstairs and go beyond 2 hours.

Everything was amazing ! From service, ambiance and especially food. It was my first time experiencing Burmese cusine. And i'm glad that I did. I would definitely come back with friends and families since you can easily find something for anybody. From vegan to soups, dry pots etc.

The restaurant was beautiful with plenty of parking nearby. We got 3 cocktails and they were all pretty good, except the clarified milk wash one. Make reservations online because it gets pack! Our server Camille was amazing! She was so helpful when it came to giving suggestion on drinks and food items to choose from.

Came here for Valentine's Day with my girlfriend, and we both had an incredible, romantic experience. The servers were delightful and offered their recommendations. We had the Valentine's Day Special that came with a 4-course meal for $125 - this included a tasty salad, two appetizers of your choice (we got oysters and samosas), two main entrees (we got duck curry and sea bass), and a chocolate mousse dessert. This was a great value and every dish was a 10/10; we even got a free rose and the recipe for their salad at the end of the meal. If this were any indicator of what Burmese food can be, the bar is set extremely high.

My kids took me here for my bday celebration and first of all - the staff was SO NICE and friendly. I believe it was the manager that came by to wish me a happy birthday! And checked on us during the meal... Very welcoming and friendly! And the aesthetics here was so beautiful and relaxing. Loved it... We started with drinks - middle and hubby got their ube thai which definitely had the ube flavor... I got the Temple of Tamarind! SO GOOD - the rim the glass with tamarind so if you want more of the tamarind flavor you can sip from the rim vs just drinking from the straw. Was tempted to get another - definitely if you love tamarind - this is a must try!! For our meal, we started off with the Tea Leaf Salad. My all time FAVORITE. I wish they offered different sizes like Burma Superstar - I would've gotten a LARGE for sure!! But probably better not to overstuff given all the food we ordered! LOL... We also got the Burmese Fritters which has kabocha! We LOVE kabocha and this did NOT disappoint! With their spicy tamarind sauce! SO GOOD!! And then my youngest (who couldn't make it but recommended this dish) got the Crab Rangoon dip! MY oh MY. Cheesy and crabby with their fresh chips - I can see why she loves this dip - as now we do as well!! For the mains - we got the coconut chicken curry with coconut rice, hawker garlic noodles and eggplant with garlic sauce. EVERYTHING was flavorful, delicious and my mouth is watering just thinking about it all!! The portions are HUGE - the coconut chicken curry had a little sweetness to it - not spicy - with little potatoes and tender chicken. But that SAUCE!! I ended up getting extra coconut rice to go with my leftover curry and am looking forward to eating it again!! The garlic noodles - WOW - the noodle texture was perfect and I realized after - they used EGG noodles! Really took it to the next level in texture and I love that they put the spicy sauce on the side so those who like the extra spicy can add to their noodles! Comes with fresh cut little cucumbers so you get a bit of crunch with the chewiness of the noodles! SO GOOD!! And then there's the eggplant. We all LOVE eggplant and while this was a bit spicy (but you can pick out the red chili peppers out) - the eggplant itself was cooked PERFECTLY. Chunks that were meaty and flavorful - didn't fall apart - still had the bite AND the flavors! Amazing and perfect for eggplant lovers... And because it was my bday - i got a complimentary chocolate cake with a candle. That cake was SO tender and chocolately - it was very good and just the right amount for us all to take a bite BECAUSE we still ordered the coconut pandan cake! HIGHLY recommend. The texture was perfect and flavors on point! Not too sweet and you can taste the pandan! LOVE Burma Love and this is definitely our go to for Burmese food! Service, atmosphere, food... all exceptional! I can't wait to go back and try more of their other dishes!! OH and they have a parking lot at the complex. Free for the 1st 2 hours and restaurant validation if over 2 hrs. Because we were celebrating my bday we passed the 2 hr mark and they validated for us so it was FREE parking in an underground parking! Can't go wrong there!! So happy to have found this place and can't wait to come back!!

    Hawker Garlic Noodles
    Ata M.

Came for a quick lunch and was wildly underwhelmed. We ordered the friend chicken and garlic noodles with shrimp to share. The food was tasty, except for the fact that the noodles came with chicken instead of shrimp. This leads me to what made the experience meh. We sat at the bar and the bartender could not have been bothered. They barely greeted us, when we opted for regular water he brought the glasses but didn't give us water until we asked once our food arrived, and when the noodles came with chicken instead of shrimp, I confirmed that I had ordered shrimp to which he said, "oh yea, I guess I out chicken" and he just stared at me. At that point I just left it as is and ate the food that was out in front of me. We asked for the check and again, just no sense of urgency or hospitality. Given that the location is convenient and the place is super cute, I feel like it could be a better experience if service improves.

As a speakeasy enthusiast myself I definitely agree to the fact that it is "hidden" but also it does kinda give corporate vibes a little bit - maybe we can say they "gentrified" the speakeasy experience which is honestly so funny for Palo Alto. But anyways I don't think a classification should stop you from visiting it. The food is actually surprisingly really good. We came with a pescatarian and honestly while the offerings for snacks were a bit slim, every option was really good. I feel like this was the first time where I understood the price even the the quantity is no where close to be desired. One shrimp is like $6 and I was like whoah. Service is definitely more laid back and it's overall just like a more chill atmosphere. I'm fortunate to work nearby so I'll definitely visit this place a few times after work to blow off some steam... And the drinks! Yes they are good! They are also quite strong! Would come back again but also if you're conscious of budget then I'm not sure if you'll find the same value proposition.

The space is sleek, modern, and light-filled, making it a perfect spot to gather with friends for lunch or evening drinks and bites. Here is a breakdown of what we tried: Deviled Eggs: A must-order appetizer! Topped with tobiko/caviar, crispy shallots, and chives, they are incredibly creamy with a nice pop of texture and savoriness. Korean Fried Chicken Wings: Crispy, perfectly glazed in a sweet-and-spicy sauce, and topped with sesame seeds. Served with a cool dipping sauce that balances out the heat wonderfully. Tacos (Carnitas & Shrimp): Both taco options were served on warm, fresh corn tortillas topped with pickled red onions, cilantro, and served with a side of slaw and spicy salsa. High quality and super flavorful. Roasted Cauliflower: A gorgeous mixture of purple and white cauliflower tossed with a rich green pesto and drizzle of spicy red pepper sauce. A phenomenal vegetable side with a great kick. French Fries: Golden, crispy, well-seasoned, and served in a massive bowl--perfect for sharing across the entire table. Overall: Excellent presentation, generous portions for small plates, and a super welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for creative craft cocktails or grabbing a bite with a group near campus, Horsefeather delivers. Highly recommended!

Owned by a winner of a reality cooking competition, it makes sense why it is priced at a premium, and with that follows pleasantly attentive service, innovative dishes, and comfy seating. I found the food to be generally pleasant, and the only thing that is unpleasant is their proximity to the train station that interrupts conversation on an intervalized basis. Old Siam - I see the vision of this luxury take on an old fashioned, which is flavorally accurate. I think the garnish is a bit too simple beyond the block ice to properly convey that look. Roti Mataba - Intriguing dish as I've never seen roti used to encapsulate before, but its smart as it creates a flaky exterior that pairs incredibly well with the curry sauce. Pad See Ew - Large portion of a classic dish that is served on the lighter side but still tasty. I would clean up on the presentation though. Mango Sticky Rice - Beautiful arrangement of mango sticky rice that shows great knife skills of the mango. You can see the heart shape starting to form of the sticky rice as well, which is beautiful.
