Service here was more efficient than at other restaurants we visited during our stay; our tea and beer were brought out relatively quickly, and the longest time that we had to wait was for the cheque at the end. Lots of seating available, so we could've easily dined mid-evening without making a reservation in advance. The Indonesian items on my better half's set were all very flavorful, especially the meats. I enjoyed my al dente, liberally sauced noodles almost as much, and harbor no complaints about the wonton soup. The dim sum combinations seemed popular, but we ran out of time during our trip and were unable to return and try those and more of their extensive menu (the sieuw ya fan, kam lo wan tan, yuk chi tofu, and regional sets certainly caught our eye). The portions are quite generous for the cost, so it's a good pick if you're looking to have leftovers for breakfast.

One of the strong points is their menu of Dim Sum. There are several of those that seem unique (a favorite of mine is one with Abalone - Pau yu siew mai). The staff are friendly and the location is a comfortable one. The decor is not remarkable. There is, in good weather, the possibility to sit at tables on the sidewalk (on what is a quiet street for at least part of the day).

I got the teriyaki ramen noodles and spring rolls. You get quite a big bowl and the teriyaki chicken was delicious. I am quite an eater and even I got full from the bowl. The springrolls were just the same as regular ones. The place is quite big and comfy, when you order your food they give you this funny looking thing that vibrates when your food is ready. You then go get your food and give them the funny looking thing. The workers are super friendly and helpful. You can see them working in the kitchen. Also they serve halal food which is not so common in asian restaurants.

The concept is simple, you order and pay, pick-up your order and eat. You can also choose to do take away and bring your order home with you. Due to the fact that it is designed to serve quick and filling meals, the menu is focused on main dishes and noodles. Food: 4/5 The food here is tasty and familiar, it is the standard dishes I would expect from a place like this - HK BBQ meat such as crispy pork, soy sauce chicken. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is that there isn't really anything else like it around. Of course, you can get the same take away from St. Anny Food but the difference in quality is tremendous (this is much better!!). Full Moon Express is the sort of place that I would go back to when I want typical Cantonese food. My recommendations: Anything from HK BBQ grill Service: 5/5 Super fast, this is the McDonald's of Chinese food. Atmosphere: 4/5 Cantonese cooking creates a lot of grease and I was surprised by how clean this place was. The counters are made of stainless steel and it just felt like everything was sparkling clean... I wished my kitchen looked like this! Value: 5/5 This is clearly subjective... In comparison to what you would pay for a meal anywhere else, this place is cheap, tasty and filling. However, I can't help but think about how much I would have paid in New York and how much it would cost to make it myself (though clearly my version would not be as tasty...)

Authentic Dim Sum in the Heart of Amsterdam If you are looking for authentic Chinese flavors near…read morethe Red Light District/Chinatown, Oriental City is the place to go. It's a multi-level restaurant that stays packed during prime hours, which is always a good sign for the food quality. They serve Dim Sum all day, which is a huge plus. The flavors are very traditional. While the Dim Sum was solid across the board, the Beef Chow Fun was the absolute standout--perfectly prepared with that signature "wok hei" (breath of the wok). The staff isn't necessarily warm and fuzzy, but they are efficient. Don't expect a long chat, but you'll get your food quickly. Be prepared for a bit of a climb; the restaurant spans several floors and it appears to be stairs-only. It gets very crowded, so timing your visit is key. A must-visit for Chinese food fans in Amsterdam. Just be ready for a lively, busy environment!

This particular restaurant satisfied my craving for Asian food, located next to the Red Light District. Service was very helpful and friendly, food was just as good! Was also interesting to see the Asian staff speak Norwegian also to other customers. Great place to get your Asian food fix when traveling here.
