Terrible service. Average food at best. Not a place worth your visit - especially with kids.

This is definitely an authentic Cantonese restaurant in the Netherlands. As a Chinese living in the Netherlands, I will for sure come back!

Authentic Dim Sum in the Heart of Amsterdam If you are looking for authentic Chinese flavors near…read morethe Red Light District/Chinatown, Oriental City is the place to go. It's a multi-level restaurant that stays packed during prime hours, which is always a good sign for the food quality. They serve Dim Sum all day, which is a huge plus. The flavors are very traditional. While the Dim Sum was solid across the board, the Beef Chow Fun was the absolute standout--perfectly prepared with that signature "wok hei" (breath of the wok). The staff isn't necessarily warm and fuzzy, but they are efficient. Don't expect a long chat, but you'll get your food quickly. Be prepared for a bit of a climb; the restaurant spans several floors and it appears to be stairs-only. It gets very crowded, so timing your visit is key. A must-visit for Chinese food fans in Amsterdam. Just be ready for a lively, busy environment!

It seems like they properly used woks and the right high-heat temperatures for cooking and everything was made fresh rather than made from manufactured / pre-prepared food! - Shrimp rice roll - the rice roll is thick and has a nice chew, shrimp was nice and nearly wrapped into the center of each piece - Chow fun - solid chewy texture , could have had more beef but good amount of oil, some of the noodles clumped together and were undercooked but the dish was still very tasty - Veggies - really nice! mushrooms were flavorful and cooked all the way through and other veggies had decent flavor / texture too, timed the cooking right so they weren't overly mushy or crunchy

Disappointing, sad and hopefully no future ahead…read more For a 37€ p/p surprise menu (4 courses) you may get 1 chicken breast soaked in oil, 2 dim sum and 2 fried undescribed items, 2 small pancakes with 2 slices of duck skin and for main course stir fried meat, a few shrimps and a few vegetables. On the top of this uncreative cuisine, all the service took ages. If you are hungry you won't leave the place satiated but angry! Any banal Chinese would do a better service than Asian (in)Glories. Darwin theory will apply to this restaurant.

Em, let's start from the initial feeling entering the restaurant, heavy smell of oil made it cheap atmosphere, but I said to myself to wait for the food. Horrible wine list and obviously a 'China town' level restaurant, but the interior are nice :) non of the menu items attracts a real Chinese, I ordered chicken in shacha source, Mapo tofu and erg fried rice. Plain rice also came as free, what a nice surprise! I really appreciate the offer to cook anything I want as a Chinese, but I have to say the Mapo tofu has nothing about Mapo tofu, even I cook better. Shacha chicken was literally tasting like chicken fry with shacha source from the supermarket, very very very normal. We also order desert 'osmanthus flower cake with lychee ice cream', that was special - I mean the lychee ice cream.the home-made osmanthus flower cake was too disappointing! Well, what worst is that Michellin gave this restaurant 'recommended' from 2007-2014. I am so disappointed by Michellin's standard and just wonder if there's any proper Chinese restaurant in Rotterdam?!
