This place certainly lives up to its name of 'pearl', it is hidden in a building on the 2nd level. You can either take the stairs or the elevator (left one only). Finally, I have found a dim sum place that I would be proud to recommend to people. I prefer this place to Sea Palace, Oriental City in Amsterdam and Kee Lun Palace in The Hague.
Food: 4/5
This is the first dim sum place in the Netherlands that has dim sum that meets the standards of what I would expect back home (NYC). The dishes are tasty and they even have a few new ones as well. No longer do I have to say "this is better than nothing", I actually came back here because I wanted dim sum.
Service: 3/5
It is quite standard Chinese service, which means they are curt and efficient. You order everything on a piece of paper and they bring you the food, which means that you do have to wait a bit for it. However, none of this is any different from other Dutch places.
Atmosphere: 4/5
This place is bustling during the weekends, even in the early afternoon when dim sum would usually be done. It is clear that coming here is a weekend tradition for many Chinese families, like it should be. This is exactly what a dim sum place is like and should be.
Value: 3/5
Dishes were around 3-4 euros a plate, which is about average for most dim sum places here. read more
