    Take-out!!

I'm really happy to see this one's already reviewed and loved :) I loved this place. Cheap, yummy, quick: everything my chicken-rice-loving person hadn't found yet in Amsterdam. The sambal was amazingly spicy, which was great for my Indian colleague and I. The rest of the gang had completely underestimated the spice, so we had enough lunch-time entertainment. The inside is tiny. The 6 of us were sitting way in the back, right next to the entrance to the cellar, the kitchen and hella close to each other. In that sense it's everything I expect in a good Chinese place: food comes first, decor is an afterthought. It adds to the ambiance if you ask me. The portion size is huge, so I took away what I hadn't been able to finish. It tasted great still and fed me for a day or two.

Singapore fried rice with prawns and roast pork! Not on the menu but worth ordering!

This place is on my list of lunch favourites. It's fast. It's basic. It's pretty damn tasty and it's cheap. Honestly, the menu is baaaaaaaaasic, fried rice a few different ways (best to try it Singapore style, it's curried flavoured, delicious and off-menu), fried noodles a few different ways, soup noodles (tiny selection) and a number of rice dishes. The starters are small and tasty but I wouldn't bother with them if you're in a rush. Because of how quick these guys are on the wok, you'll be well and truly done with your main before you even see your starter! Also, the servings are huuuuuge, so with rice or noodles, it's carb city! Speaking of quick, my colleagues and I always come here if we're in a rush. Why? Because hands down, guaranteed, from order to eat, your main dish is ready in a flash! Want it even faster? Call up before hand for a pick up, they're super accommodating! So if you're after a no-fuss super fast Asian meal, that'll fill you up fast, go here! It's the ultimate comfort food that's rearing to go before you are! One more thing, they don't serve tap water here, you have to buy bottled water or soft drinks.. it wasn't always this way but I guess given the prices here, it doesn't seem too crazy to shell out an extra €2 to quench your thirst!

Really fresh, really fast, really clean, really small and gets a crowd. Would never recommend for a group larger than four. Had the Shrimp Kung pao. The shrimp was very fresh and I had the pan-fried noodles. Very good and nice portions.

We found this place by pure luck. It is a small well priced place to eat authentic great food. Can't wait to be back in Amsterdam.

Happy to find a cheap option downtown. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. Prepare yourself for greasy noodles.

This particular restaurant satisfied my craving for Asian food, located next to the Red Light District. Service was very helpful and friendly, food was just as good! Was also interesting to see the Asian staff speak Norwegian also to other customers. Great place to get your Asian food fix when traveling here.

First, let me say the carpets are filthy dirty, and we didn't realize this until we were seated. There are small flies, flying around on the second level where we were seated. While we waited for our food they were everywhere. We both swatted flies on our legs and arms. We ordered the ribs with bone in black bean sauce to share, and when it arrived, it was tasty but there were small chips of bones in the sauce that made it very unpleasant to eat. We sent that entrée back. We had the shrimp and chicken satay which we only ate half because the satay pieces on the bottom of the plate were just sitting in grease. So we paid for our soda and beer and the satay and departed. This is the definition of a tourist trap restaurant. I find it hard to believe any self-respecting Amsterdam person couldn't find a better Chinese restaurant to eat in.

Seeing a place like this would normally give you pretty substandard food and banking on the Chinese aesthetics but not here. The food was way above average with terrific taste and a large variety. And the aesthetics were very pleasant - especially being on the water! FOOD: So good. We ordered a BUNCH of food knowing we would take some back with us to the hotel. Now, I know I'm coming back whenever we visit Amsterdam. We had the 3 meat plate which had roast pork, cha siu pork, and roast duck. All so good. Really loved the cha siu (which is a Chinese version of BBQ pork). Usually overcooked, this wasn't. We also ordered kung pao chicken which was delicious. Usually kung pao is filled with veggies and other fillers but this was tons of great chicken! And then there was the dim sum. So good. Just yum. And good rice. SERVICE: Good and certainly better than expected. We had a nice English speaking guy helping us out and he was great. The food was served in nice sized portions and it came out relatively quickly. They serve it as it's ready and not in any particular order. Actually made it more pleasant. COST: Reasonable for what you get which is high quality food in a beautiful setting. Definitely worth a return visit.

Our tour guide said it's a replica of one in China. We went late on a Monday and the place was packed! She said it was over an hour wait, but we only waited 20 minutes for a party of 6. Cool ordering process.. you scan a QR code and order from your phone. Service was really fast! Now the food... oh my goodness SO GOOD!!! Lots of choices and everything tastes so fresh. Their menu is impressively large and the dining room is small but inviting. Prices are quite high, but you are in a tourist area. We ordered a Kung pao chicken and a chicken fried rice to share. We both had a very weird 'chemical' taste that would occasionally occur with the Kung pao but neither of us could figure out what it was. The chicken fried rice was fine but contained very little chicken. My house white wine at 4.5 was fine as well as hubby had a Heineken. The biggest issue was the many Gnats that just descended on us once our wine arrived. If you zoom in on the picture, there were quite a few just hanging out after our plate we removed. We have been to many restaurants since we arrived here and this is the first with this issue. It got even worse once our food arrived. Very irritating. Service was just ok. We were here at a weird time because we are very jet lagged and trying to get on the time zone (needed dinner early). The staff were having their dinner so we felt a bit of a nuisance. Bill was about 50 euro.
