This restaurant was an unexpected treat. We were looking for a last minute dinner spit and they were able to squeeze us in. The owner and staff were very nice and gave very attentive service even with a full restaurant. The Sin-Do Soup, Sichuan Style was so delicious and packed with meet and veggies. The flavor was unlike a typical sweet/sour soup. The meat on the Sizzling Beef was extremely tender and cut like butter with a nice bite to it. Great portion of pork fried rice and it wasn't too salty or overcooked/tough, which is a common problem. Will definitely be back next time we're in Amsterdam.

The BEST Sichuan food i've ever had. We had the meal for two & it was plenty of food. Everything was fresh, seasoned well, and the right temperature. I don't remember the names of the dishes, but definitely remember the experience. The dishes came out separately; so, the table was never crowded like some restaurants. The entire staff was extremely welcoming while introducing each dish. A must stop for anyone who enjoys sichuan food.

Food is average. Menu is limited. Price is expensive, portion is very small. Decor is tacky trying to be classy. Will not come back.

Delicious sichuan food in amsterdam. The decor is a little beat up, but the food is outstanding. Staff is super friendly as well.

Authentic Dim Sum in the Heart of Amsterdam If you are looking for authentic Chinese flavors near…read morethe Red Light District/Chinatown, Oriental City is the place to go. It's a multi-level restaurant that stays packed during prime hours, which is always a good sign for the food quality. They serve Dim Sum all day, which is a huge plus. The flavors are very traditional. While the Dim Sum was solid across the board, the Beef Chow Fun was the absolute standout--perfectly prepared with that signature "wok hei" (breath of the wok). The staff isn't necessarily warm and fuzzy, but they are efficient. Don't expect a long chat, but you'll get your food quickly. Be prepared for a bit of a climb; the restaurant spans several floors and it appears to be stairs-only. It gets very crowded, so timing your visit is key. A must-visit for Chinese food fans in Amsterdam. Just be ready for a lively, busy environment!

This particular restaurant satisfied my craving for Asian food, located next to the Red Light District. Service was very helpful and friendly, food was just as good! Was also interesting to see the Asian staff speak Norwegian also to other customers. Great place to get your Asian food fix when traveling here.

In all honesty, the food was good and they got to our table quickly. The only reason I gave a 4 out…read moreof 5 was because it was uncomfortably hot in the dining room. We thought about leaving before placing our order but decided to bear it out since we were craving Sichuan. The chicken and the green beans were my favorites. It was really nice being able to taste the Sichuan peppers on the dishes. All together, great food but uncomfortable dining experience.

Their menu is impressively large and the dining room is small but inviting. Prices are quite high, but you are in a tourist area. We ordered a Kung pao chicken and a chicken fried rice to share. We both had a very weird 'chemical' taste that would occasionally occur with the Kung pao but neither of us could figure out what it was. The chicken fried rice was fine but contained very little chicken. My house white wine at 4.5 was fine as well as hubby had a Heineken. The biggest issue was the many Gnats that just descended on us once our wine arrived. If you zoom in on the picture, there were quite a few just hanging out after our plate we removed. We have been to many restaurants since we arrived here and this is the first with this issue. It got even worse once our food arrived. Very irritating. Service was just ok. We were here at a weird time because we are very jet lagged and trying to get on the time zone (needed dinner early). The staff were having their dinner so we felt a bit of a nuisance. Bill was about 50 euro.
