I started going here when my 'standby' went out of business. I was pleasantly surprised at not only the great food, but the unbelievable prices. I Really enjoy the Chow Mei fun from here. Everything I have tried has been good with the exception of the brown gravy, it's lacking in flavor. After an hour and 4 phone calls later by delivery drive being at 4 different houses that was not mine, called Ming Garden to cancel order and they dont even have a record of our order. Had to call delivery person who still had not delivered food and was lost that we didnt want the order no more and that Ming Garden said order didnt even exist. first time ordering...the food was really good! the wonton crab ragoons were crunchy and the filling amount was just right !....the house special lo mein was delicious! veggies mixed with shrimp and chicken. the best of all were the wings. they actually cut it which is perfect when you're a wing kinda person. the only reason why I didn't give a 5 star was due to how rude the women was when I called to add extra duck sauce. So. Before you read any further...This is not an attempt to RECIEVE something free. Because even something free from this establishment is not wanted....We had a bad experience before but we let it go figuring things happen...The first time....We ordered online and put for a future order....When I got there...I still waited close to twenty (20) minutes for food that was pre ordered for a certain time two hours before...But we let that go...And mind you upon arrival to pick up our food they were not busy at all!!! So today my husband and step daughter are at home and he wanted the curry shrimp...That's usually what he gets...(might I add we have never had a problem with the food from here only the service) so today I order for delivery through beyond menu....I click to pay with my card and the order shoots through and says you are all set...Confused by this as we did not want to pay cash I call beyond menu to cancel the order...I figured I clicked something wrong and hit cash on accident so I was going to re order....He proceeds to tell me oh I'm sorry they don't take payments online....So why in the heck do you have the option to pay by card.? As I'm on the phone with beyond menu the woman from Ming garden calls to ask me for my credit card number as I had ordered online to pay by card...I tell her you shouldn't have the option to pay online if I can not really do this...( She says it's safer for our customers to give us the card directly) from working in a Japanese restraunt that also uses beyond menu I know this is not true...It's safe for you because your card is not given to the business. Any ways I'm annoyed by this point so I give the card number ask how long and we end the conversation...About 15 minutes later I get a call on my cell from the driver of Ming garden....Telling me " I'm outside come get your food" (in a ride manner may I add) so I tell her excuse me? Please go ring the bell as I am not home and my husband can not leave his young child in attended...She argues with me and tells me I told her to call when I got there( I placed the order online...No where did I write call upon arrival) and I know this because I am the one who ordered.....So I hang up call my husband and tell him the food is there a minute later I get another call from the driver saying " I told you to open the door " by this point I'm so annoyed that I tell the lady ring the buzzer I already told my husband he is coming. She is telling at me telling me I need to come outside and get the food. I'm trying to explain as she talks over me I'm not there I'm working my husband is home with a small child and will be to the door in a moment...I call the establishment because I'm in awe of how this lady is demanding me " who paid for a delivery service" to come outside and get my food and how rude she was...I ask to speak to the owner...I'm told I'm speaking with her...She then proceeds to try to tell me the same hung the driver did and I'm telling her...Your driver is rude etc....That conversation ends...I call my husband to make sure his food is correct and he says " she did not give us a receipt for the credit card and she was very rude to me...She never rang the buzzer and told me she did" we had a delivery yesterday the buzzer works just fine...Any ways...I call back...And apparently the driver who delivered the food is the owner...Because I call to tell them I have no credit card receipt you didn't give one to my husband and she is very rude to my husband as well. She puts the delivery driver on the phone I said are you the owner...She says yes I am..I said is it standard practice for your employees to tell customers they are the manager/owner when they are not...She says I am the manager...She is not...I said she told me she was....She says we both are owners I says you just told me she is not the owner you are...I proceeded to tell her she did not give my husband a receipt...She say yes I asked him..He said he didn't want one...I know that is a lie also because he knows how close an eye I keep on our check book and keep all the receipts we use for our card. Any who...She argues with me..doesnt appoligze for anything...And is still arguing and being rude...Needless to say WE WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THERE AGAIN. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. THEY LIE ABOUT WHO THE OWNER IS AND AFTER YOU ORDER FOR DELIVER (15.00 MIN PLUS 1.5 DELIVERY CHARGE) THEY EXPECT YOU TO GO OUTSIDE TO THEM AND GET YOUR FOOD FROM THEM INSTEAD LIKE ANY OTHER NORMAL DELIVERY COMPANY COME TO THE DOOR RING OR BUZZ TUE DOOR BELL. we are appalled by the customer service here. By the owner if that's who I even spoke to arguing with me about this whole situation...I would recommend their food. But save your self the headache...And find somewhere else to go...They are a little dingy hole in the wall....With poor customer service..Doesn't matter if you order ahead you will still wait for your food as well. I would give them zero stars if I could the food is absolutely disgusting horrible and just no. I didn't order their food once I ordered their food THREE times really hoping I could get myself a Chinese food place right next door but every single time my chicken was crusty and hard and not fresh at all, literally to the point where some pieces I could not bite into at all. The crab rangoon tasted very fishy and not like I've ever tasted it before and not in a good way .... And the pork fried rice was your average. All three times the food came out the same way. I stopped in for lunch here last Saturday around 3:30 pm. I waited to be greeted, but all I received was a "yes" so I assumed that meant "what would you like?". I asked if the lunch specials were still being served, and the lady said "yes". I ordered the sesame chicken lunch combination. I also asked if I could get some boneless ribs and an egg roll with that. She said it would be an extra charge because my combination only came with fried rice. I said fine and she said to come back in 15 min. I arrived back there closer to 20 min. I noticed that there were 6 or 7 male employee's with kitchen aprons on sitting around a table having lunch, and the 2 female employee's were hanging around the dining area. When they finally noticed I had arrived for my food it was very obvious that my order had been forgotten. The lady who took my order went to the kitchen and without even saying a word to me proceeded to cook my order. This place has an open kitchen and I could hear and see her cooking, and NOT ONE of the cooks at the table got up to help her. It took her about 7 min to finish my order. She called me over and WITHOUT ANY AKNOWLEDGMENT that my food was not ready even after 20 min.. handed me the bag. I looked inside and there were no utensils, napkins or any condiment's of any kind not even a fortune cookie...NOTHING! I asked for the said items and I was directed to a table where everything was in boxes with the tops cut off and proceeded to pack my own utensils, soy sauce, duck sauce, napkins and the obligatory fortune cookie!! At this point It had been just about 30 min. Now ..the frosting on the whole "Ming Garden Cake" was when I got home and opened my food. What I got was dried up re-fried chicken bites covered with a bit of sweet and sour sauce with a few sesame seeds sprinkled on. Not even a mushroom or a scallion in the sesame sauce just pure high fructose red #9 sauce straight from a bottle. And NOT EVEN ONE BONELESS SPARERIBE that I PAID EXTRA FOR!!!!!!. If I could have given this place zero stars I would or even better.. NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
