We love this restaurant, the staff is so friendly. They are not from Massachusetts for sure! The food is top notch!

I come here often because it's near where my daughter works and goes to school so I like to stop in especially if I can make the buffet. The food is good and although the business info lists no alcohol they do offer a full bar with the traditional chinese cocktails. Perhaps someone can correct this omission. read more

Not remarkable - at least not my combo selection. I thought that lo mein was usually wide noodles, these were not. Fried rice was lots of rice and not much else. My friends dinner was much better with sir-fried chicken and vegetables. Spiting roll was good and hot. Hot and sour soup was good but I've had better. I went back and asked for the hot chilli oil/paste. That helped. Food was hot and good. Filled the desire for a Chinese buffet.

Because of the good reviews on Yelp we decided to order take out luncheon combos from Ming Du today. Turned out to be a great decision! The restaurant looks nice on the inside with lots of room. The cashier was very nice. We had yummy lunch plates that included Kung pao chicken, crispy lemon chicken, and orange chicken. The fried rice was fresh and hot. Also because of reviews we wanted to try the egg foo young. It did not disappoint! Ordered the veggie style with no mushrooms and it was prepared exactly as ordered. We will definitely be back to try more items on their menu. read more

Since it changed to Ming Du: The first two deliveries I got were very good, and I especially loved the taste and freshness of the house fried rice. Then on my third delivery about a month ago, the rice was horrible -- it definitely was NOT fresh and must have been sitting around for a few days. I was very disappointed and just threw it out; I haven't ordered from this place since. I agree that the delivery driver is excellent, a very nice guy! read more

I ordered today on my way home from work, I spent a good amount of money. I went in to grab my order. As I was walking through the door a gentleman was walking in right before me with a open bag obviously something was wrong with the order he had. The lady at the front desk grabbed the bag from him & began to reseal the bag. Low and behold it was my order she was resealing, once I told her my name she tried to hand me the bag. I told her is need a new order i just saw that man before me come in with the bag wide open i don't know what he could have done with it & with Covid & everything else going around i'm not taking any chances nor should you be trying to give anybody something that somebody else handled. She took my whole bag and brought it to the kitchen & I know she has the woman in the kitchen reseal my bag. I told her to just cancel my order she said I would have to go through grub hub. I didn't want to go through all of that as I had been up sense 1:45am & was just coming back on the train from work. The woman from the kitchen came out from the kitchen & I could tell the desk woman told her in their language what I said she started yelling as if outraged. ( this is the problem about speaking another language while waiting on a customer) I usually have great experiences when coming here but after today I mad my last & final visit. read more

Place is ok. Went in with my girl and they sat us at a table, gave us a piece of paper that said specials on it with a few food combos printed and they Also they gave me a paper take out menu. We looked at the special paper and saw nothing good so we order from the other menu. The waitress came back and as I'm reading what I want says you can't order from that menu.... I asked why not? She said because it's paper and COVID rules. I he'd both the special paper and paper menu and told her both the things she brought to us are made of paper and why would you give me a menu I'm not allowed to order from? Went there the Saturday night before Christmas with my boyfriend for karaoke and initially sat at a table and Susie was our waitress and she was always asking if we needed a drink then moved to the bar and sat there with an empty beer bottle and glass and could never get the bartenders attention, she was too busy going thru the receipts, after an hour didn't want a drink anymore just wanted waters which she served to us with such an attitude!!! Food is great but getting a drink at the bar is next to impossible!! On another note the karaoke DJ had 26 singers that night but he thought it was a good idea to play videos and sing himself therefore time was wasted and the people that where there could not sing as there was not sufficient time, they should have Gail there all the time!!! read more

Have only done takeout thus far but am very impressed with the ease of ordering, speed, and the quality of the food. I ordered a combo dinner, and the general gao's chicken was hot, fluffy, and the sauce had the perfect amount of "kick" to it. The rice was fresh, with plenty of leftover chicken sauce to dip the rice into. The crab rangoons were some of the best I have had in recent memory. They were rolled tight, with hot cream cheese filling that had just enough scallion without being overpowering. For the price I paid the portion sizes were perfect. I will be back for sure, especially for that much touted lunch buffet. If you had issues with this place under the old ownership, no need to worry as it's a brand new ballgame. read more

Ming Du has great food!! I could go to any number of Chinese food restaurants in the area that are closer to my house but the food makes the trip absolutely with the extra travel time!! Crab Rangoons are a staple of any order I ever get from Ming Du!! A+ every time. read more

I ordered food online for delivery an hour in advance. I had waited almost two hours for my food and it still didn't arrive until I called back again. They had said there was only one delivery driver on tonight and that they were busy so they 'held our order.' I found this ridiculous because they should of at least called me back stating they were backed up. Like I stated- we ordered online, and tipped online as well. Highly regret this decision. This is a good to very good Sichuan Mandarin style restaurant with a large menu of Chinese dishes you would expect. It changed owners and the name a few years ago and has mostly delivered the same quality of the various dishes they offer. I want this restaurant to succeed and I think it will.Some nights the quality of the items show a deft hand by the chefs that show a real mastery of techniques and the sauces that can be sublimely delicious. Other nights they can be good enough but fall short of the mark on seasoning and preparation of the dish. Don't take your customers for granted as many have traveled to some of the best Chinese Restaurants in the US and internationally and know the differences. Use the best ingredients and techniques and your customers will reward your efforts. Small things like tasting the Hot and Sour Soup before you serve it matters. It should be peppery and acidic from vinegar etc. Some nights it is but others it is bland and flat. Toss the shrimp if it Is soft and mushy, you should know better. One of the chefs must be great but some need more training or oversight I think to keep the quality elevated as they have shown it can be from their kitchen. read more

When this was Cheng Du it used to be great. Now quality has gone down considerably and nothing tastes as good as it used to. There's no shortage of better options in the area and you'd be better off just about anywhere else. read more

Don't know what has happened to this place after it was sold. Ordered food last night. Beef with pea pod, Fried Shrimp, Subgum Chow Mein with hard noodle and Crab Rangoon. When I got home, No gravy with the beef with pea pod order, fried shrimp were underdone inside was still mushy, subgum chow mein was not subgum with normal waterchestnuts etc as I am used to having. Was more a vegetable chow mein which I don't like. They also give fat hard noodles which I don't care for either. Food was much better when it was Cheng Du. I will not be returning. read more
