This was my second time here. The first was years ago shortly after they opened. It's very cute, in a nice strip center. The service is friendly, but we waited an hour for our food and then another 20-30" to pay. The food is okay. I had the BLTA and loved the sourdough bread, but the eggs were over hard. I thought the whole reason for a fried eggs were for the saucy yolks? Overall, the group liked their food. Plus, it was Mother's Day, so maybe that added to the very long delay. But it really made me think that I'd rather cook it myself with that long of a wait. Yes, there were mimosas and gossip, but mom's gotta eat!
We visited today to celebrate a birthday. I ordered the burrito which is on special. This NEEDS to be added to the menu. It was amazing. I didn't even get a picture of it. I just dug straight in!
My husband and I love to try new places. We're foodies!!! He is a big breakfast person, so occasionally we opt for brunch. We picked a good one!!! Everything was fresh, well made, delicious and ,thank you Lord, we'll seasoned!!! The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The atmosphere was laid back and cozy. I didn't even know that I was talking to the owner until I asked who owned the joint. She was very personable and friendly. Now, be prepared for a wait or call ahead to be added to wait list. Don't show up with an attitude because they can't seat you right away or until all of your party is present. They can't help it if everyone wants to eat there...lol...Enjoy!
The menu gives inaccurate descriptions. The appetizer "mini chicken and waffles" is an entire full size Belgium waffles with 3 chicken strips (vs 1 per menu description). Not remotely an appetizer. The food is mediocre at best. The drinks I ordered for my flight were incorrect,the correct ones were tasty but weak and a few drinks that were ordered were forgotten. I don't recommend. I won't be returning.
Great for the drinks but the food left a lot to be desired. Average meal was about $15 for what felt like very standard breakfast dishes without any flair. The mimosa flight was super worth it, at $17.99 you get four mimosas of your choice from their basic/standard list so chances are I'd be back just for the drinks. The space is pretty small, just a square dining area with tables pretty close together, high ceilings, and mostly bare walls. There were women scream laughing and yelling to each other throughout so the noise really carried across, they really need to get some tapestries or something on the walls to dampen the sound. They haven't been open for long so I'll def be keeping an eye on their socials and hope for decor and menu improvements.

Second, your claim about still seating guests isn't accurate--we were clearly the last ones there, and staff began stacking chairs around us while we were still eating. It absolutely felt like we were being rushed out. I also wasn't going to mention this, but since we're now sharing "full context" like family, I feel it's necessary to say: my server personally directed me to a restroom--then proceeded to walk in on me not once, but twice. That's not only embarrassing but completely inappropriate. Additionally, the food runner did throw my plate down in front of me with noticeable attitude. My girlfriend had to calm me down before we said anything to avoid a scene. So once again, I encourage you to actually check your cameras and be honest about what really happened. I had originally intended to leave a more polite and minimal review, but since your reply paints an inaccurate picture, I feel obligated to respond truthfully and fully.

At first glance from outside Mimosa Gossip, the place does look a little bougie. Then when you walk in, it's definitely bougie and the ladies in our party loved it. Pink neon signs, chandeliers to light up the dining area, champagne glasses on the wall and a beautiful chase for you to wait until a table is ready for you. It's a small establishment so unless you are in a booth, get comfortable being close to other parties. Mimosa Gossip is very clean and I liked that they thought about having hooks under the table for you to hang items, such as a handbag. The service was okay. Not bad but not above and beyond either. Was made aware that max time for sit down was 2 hours. They have a big selection of different mimosas to try and if you can't decide, get the Mimosa Flight. 4 mimosas for about $20 at the time of this review and they taste great. I got tempted to try their Peanut Butter and Jelly plate that is fried and powdered, French Toast style. Very sweet and so hard to put down. I do recommend if it's a "cheat day". Great place to go with friends
First of all, I want to preface that I am a sucker for a bubbly and talkative server. Our server, Carry, was just that! He was such a delight to talk to and extremely nice. The food was amazing and the chicken was well-breaded. I will be coming back for more!
My wife and I checked out Mimosa Gossip today for lunch and it was fine. The atmosphere is lively though it does get loud as others have mentioned. The service was fine but not exceptional. They have 4 menus, which I realized immediately that it was not a food place nor very organized. We started with the fried deviled eggs and as some mentioned before me, they lack flavor. I'd say seasoning in the batter would elevate these to something special, which would be great since it's a great food idea. Otherwise, they're just a bland fried food. I had the All meat omelet with hashbrowns and a fruit cup. The plate itself was average at best. The meat in the omelet was good but the egg felt overdone and not fluffy like an omlet usually is. The hashbrown was good but I must've had one near the bottom of the packaging as there was a piece of plastic wrap cooked into the corner of the hash brown. I received more of a bowl for the fruit, and it made the fruit seem sad as you'll see in a picture. My wife had the club sandwich with fries and again, not much better. The sandwich was pretty good, but the fries were peppered yet bland and felt like an afterthought. I think this place really puts quite a bit of effort into its mimosas and could be special if it put the same effort into the food. I'd return with friends to happily enjoy mimosas but definitely not a place that I'd seek out or recommend eating at.

We went to @mimosagossip for brunch this past Sunday. We had tried previously and the wait was too long but today, I called and found out that we should text their number to get on their waitlist. That was so helpful and we had a minimal wait to be seated. It had a been a year ago since I visited with a friend here. I had the Island Getaway (strawberry, pineapple, and mango), Hubby had The Gossip (pineapple and mango), and Dad had Lemonade. Dad had the All Day Breakfast with 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausages, bacon, hash brown, and fruit. Hubby had the BLT with hash brown, and fruit. Cute restaurant in the strip along Redland Rd and 1604. We had reservations which I would highly recommended based on how busy they were on a Sunday. Our table was waiting for us when we got to the restaurant and our server immediately took our drink and appetizer orders. We started off with the fried deviled eggs which was good. We then went with several entrees which consisted of pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, omelette ams sandwiches. We all enjoyed our selections. If there was one negative, it would be the acoustics of the restaurant. It's pretty loud in there so we found ourselves having to raise our voice in order to hear each other. Great experience! Can still use some improvement, but otherwise more like a 4.5 stars. The service was good, food is not fast, so be prepared for that. The fried deviled eggs are a must have! The mimosas were good and they have NA versions too. The Belgian waffles were delicious, nice and thin which is great, closer to a stroopwaffel. The hash browns were okay, as well as the bacon (both could be improved for my liking). The ambiance is super cute! Lots of mimosa decor, even in the bathrooms. Overall, definitely worth checking out and making a reservation. read more

I went here in November for brunch with my girlfriends we were in San Antonio for a Bachelorette weekend. When we walked in to this place they were so sweet. Our waiter was so great we loved him. The food was so yummy I had the chicken and waffles so delicious. The decor of this place was so adorable. I don't think it's fair to be overly critical of them since they are still super new, that being said, I did have a wonderful time here! I went with my girlfriend and roommate and it was nice, I do kinda feel like they haven't found their "identity" yet if that makes any sense, but it's a nice vibe. Sorta loud, but people are drinking and they are enjoying each other so it's not necessarily a bad thing, ya know? Now for the real... I wasn't a huge fan of the food, it just lacked any personality in my opinion and was kinda a bummer. BUTTTTT WE WANTED MIMOSAS, the mimosas were so good! I kinda wish they were stronger, but vortex had my girlfriend and I in a CHOKEHOLD! Overall: I don't think I'll get food again, but I'll definitely 100% be coming back for the mimosas! Mimosa Gossip is hands down one of the best brunch additions to the north side of San Antonio. This place is a whole vibe with Instagramable features that include neon lights, exquisite chandeliers, and an overall fun and inviting atmosphere. The drinks though! My friend and I each had a flight of mimosas that were generous in size which we both very much appreciated. Together we tried about half of the mimosa menu, and you cannot go wrong with any of them. Some had orange juice and some had lemonade. All were delicious and fruity with a great juice to champagne ratio. Don't pass up this food! The pancake tacos are filled with scrambled eggs with bacon mixed in, and were to die for. The side of house potatoes had the perfect crunchy outside and soft warm inside for this potato connoisseur. The service was also as excellent as the drinks and food. All of the servers and managers we interacted with were so friendly and attentive. They will most definitely help make your Instagramable experience top notch. We will absolutely be making another trip to try the premium mimosas that are made with different liquors. My mom had came here once and told me the next time I come to visit we HAVE to go and she was so right! Let's start with the mimosas, they have so many options that you can choose from! The twilight one 10/10. All the ones listed in the picture from the flight also 10/10. Although the dole whip one wasn't my favorite, I was expecting sweeter nonetheless was still good! The food, we both got breakfast was SO good. My mom got the all meat omelette which was HUGE and she liked it. I got the all American breakfast with double bacon instead of sausage and the bacon was cooked perfectly along with everything else. Now for the biggest highlight, we can go anywhere to get mimosas and good food but it was the hospitality we received from Romy that was the cherry on top. He was attentive, he was quick, had great suggestions and good conversation. The owner (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) was in today as well and she was great too. Checking on tables and working alongside her employees! The music playing was fit for a brunch place and had me dancing in my seat. We had a reservation for 6 people and had 5 people with us but they said they would not seat us until the whole party was there. Meanwhile there was a party of 15-20 who were seated as they walked in (walked in at different times). We did not get our drinks until at least 30 minutes after we ordered them, and food another 45mins-1hr after that. Not only that, they ran out of eggs (they were unprepared knowing they had accepted reservations for big tables) and did not tell us until ~30 mins after we ordered. The BLTA (bacon lettuce tomato & avocado) didn't come with lettuce but instead with spinach. Not too big of an issue because I like spinach, but the name & description is misleading. Our server forgot items for three dishes and we had to remind him. Food was decent-ish. Service is terrible. They charged us full price & included 18% gratuity because of the size of our party. read more
