    Coors Light draft
    Ruthie W.

We stayed close to home and went to @roopubsa for dinner. We made it to happy hour, which ends at 6pm on weekdays. The happy hour were only including the drinks. Hubby had the Coors light draft and I had a well drink (pineapple, orange, and vodka). We shared the Onion Rings and Texas Honey BBQ Wings. Dad had the Cheese Quesadilla. Hubby and I shared the Ripper Burger. We ordered the Chop Salad with the intent to share it but we were so full. We ended up taking food home. There are plenty of large screen TVs to watch the sports of your choice. Visit soon!

I've been to this establishment many times because I live nearby and genuinely enjoy the food--especially the wings. The food quality and ambiance are the only reasons this place still has my business. Unfortunately, the service is consistently poor, with one major exception. Summer is outstanding. I've had her as my server twice, and both times she delivered exactly what hospitality is supposed to look like: attentive, friendly, professional, efficient, and genuinely pleasant to interact with. She is the only server here who consistently does her job well, and it is painfully obvious by comparison. If management cares at all about customer experience, retention, or fairness--she deserves a raise, a promotion, or at the very least to not be penalized by pooled tips alongside staff who are clearly disengaged. Every other service experience I've had here has ranged from inattentive to outright unacceptable. On one visit, a server began taking my order and then abandoned the interaction mid-order to socialize with coworkers and customers, leaving me sitting there ignored. This is not an isolated incident--this is a pattern. I work in the service industry myself, so I don't say this lightly: This is a training and management failure. The staff (with the exception of Summer) appear uninterested, unmotivated, and visibly unhappy to be there, and it shows in how guests are treated. When tips are pooled, that lack of effort doesn't just hurt customers--it unfairly hurts the one employee who is actually doing excellent work. This place has too good of a vibe and too strong of a food offering to be dragged down by consistently poor service. If it weren't within walking distance of my apartment, the food alone would not be enough to keep me coming back. To be very clear: I will continue to request Summer when possible and recommend her specifically. But if the service issues continue with other staff, I will continue to reflect that honestly in future reviews. Regular customers notice patterns--and so do prospective ones reading these reviews. Management: this is fixable. Train your staff. Support your good employees. Protect the ones who are carrying your business -ISRAEL DOVE‍

Food: I expected more "Australian" food since it's an Aussie Pub. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case and the only thing "Aussie" is the crocodile bites. Wings are the way to go! Double it up for $19.99. Ambiance: There are bar seating, seatings on couches, etc. The vibe is fun with lights and tons of tvs. Service: The service is good! The waitress is friendly and topped our beers. This would be the place to go to have drinks with friends.

It has been a long time since I have been here, and I missed this place. Heidi was our waitress and she was very nice, polite, and helpful. My sis and I had the "Cheese quesadilla" and "Philly Cheesesteak Fries". The Pico was delish, I asked for extra since my sis and I finished the cup with 3 bites. I saw the "Wemby" shirt hanging on the bar and I knew I had to buy one. I asked Heidi if she had extras and she said yes but all she found were "XL's". Bummer...that one size fits all gag. Why is it so cold in this bar!?

Came straight from work. WE NEEDED DRINKS.We had no intention of closing the place down. The couch against the wall turned our conversation into a therapy session. After we played darts and pool. The crowd is much younger than the bar next door.

Great fresh cut fries, the beer was nice and cold, the service was absolutely fantastic (Heidi) and the whole place was very clean. Don't blink or you'll miss it. It's in a strip mall just off of 281 North, not too far from Loop 1604.

This isn't a usual spot for me but I'd say a lot of sports regulars go to hang out here. It's a big spacious inside with multiple bars and screens. They have large tables which accommodate larger groups to hang together and enjoy a game. The tenderloin wrap was delicious, smaller portion but very tasty! I'd go back here for the food or games!

We went here to get a beer on a weekday night. We were going to go to the Angry Elephant but it seemed to be living up to it's name a bit too much. This sports bar was right next door and a quieter place to have a beer. True to it's name, there were lots of cute pictures of kangaroos on the wall. They had a good selection of draft beer. They have food as well but we only had a beer. When you check in with Yelp you get 25% off of food that you can use immediately or at a later time.

Drinks were AMAZING! Bartender Rob made the best Negroni I've ever had. I asked him to use whatever gin he thought best--result was an artistic smooooooth full-bodied drink. Told him when I was done I'd lick the glass if it wasn't considered so uncouth for a 'mature' lady like myself to do so Hubby's Buffalo Trace bourbon old fashioned was also outstanding. Rob was the bartender last night who did such a great job, and his work was even better tonight. We highly recommend The EsquireTavern for excellent cocktails. We love the long wood bar and high copper ceiling upstairs, but love the intimate speakeasy atmosphere downstairs even more. We'll definitely be back every time we're in San Antonio! First review, Friday night: Drinks were great (Manhattan and Bourbon Old Fashioned). REAL drinks, no complaints at all about those. And the bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Those aspects of the Esquire get 5+ stars from us. But the appetizers were not good, close to inedible. It was about 8:30pm or so, so maybe they were getting ready to close out the kitchen but the chalupitas with chicken tasted like rubber, and no flavor at all. The seafood platter had something in it that was breading with shell inside, but no meat of any kind. We couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be. The shrimp was good and the fish was good but those other things... We'll always love the drinks, the long wooden bar, and the ambiance at the Esquire Tavern, but we'll eat somewhere else and come here for before or after dinner drinks. (See update above to this review for when we returned the next night for after dinner drinks.)

However, if you come in from the street, you need to walk to the other side of the restaurant to get a table.. We ordered a limonada with prickly pear, fried quail, lamb burger, and bison burger. The burgers were quite big and taste really good but the bison burger meat kind of fell apart too easily. The ricotta cheese on the lamb burger was quite strong. They came with a few spicy pickled veggies as a side. The limonada was as expected . I highly recommend a fried quails legs. We enjoy eating quails, but it's usually bittersweet relationship because of all the small bones however their appetizer for fried quail legs is super user-friendly. If you are scared of choking on small bones, these will not give you that kind of worry at all. We were impressed on how well-made and easily eaten they were. Our waiter was very friendly and he checked on us a few times. He was also the one that suggested the fried quail legs. We walked here .

The place was located in a small plaza off the side of some main roads, and we gathered for a class team building event. By that I mean beer and burgers. There's plenty of seating and every night has something else to offer. I enjoyed the breakfast burger which was delicious. I liked the quality of the bread and the contrast of a well-seasoned patty. The fried egg was prepared beautifully, and the yolk covered the fries waiting below on the tray. The place is military friendly in terms of the bill and our sever, Rebecca, was not only fast and friendly but very welcoming and knowledgeable. To make matters worse, the food was overpriced and similar to food court food. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this restaurant. Morrissey hadn't graced San Antonio in over 10 years, with past cancellations and postponements haunting fans along the way. So when he finally returned, San Antonio Moz fans showed up and showed out. Despite multiple after-party options across the city, fans from Brazil, the UK, Canada, Japan, and all across the U.S. chose Bang Bang Bar as the place to be on a cold Saturday night. Hosted by local emcee Ricardo Moz and Apollo DJ, the night turned into one for the history books. Bang Bang Bar is easily one of Texas' best dive-lounge bars...the perfect blend of gritty and cozy. Great cocktail program, solid beer selection, and a vibe that just works. The décor leans heavy into a 1950s-60s lounge aesthetic, with intimate spaces like the Blue Room and Yellow Room, perfect for groups of 7-10. Low lighting, warm atmosphere, and zero pretension exactly what you want for a night like this. Bang Bang Bar consistently supports local and touring acts, spanning punk, alternative, and DJ-driven nights, and this Moz Smiths Disco was no exception. It was wall-to-wall classics all night long. Major credit to Phanie and the Bang Bang Bar management they rolled up their sleeves, brought in extra bar staff, and handled an overwhelming crowd like pros. Fans waited up to 45 minutes in the cold, with a line wrapping around the building, and the energy inside never dipped. As the host of Panic On The Streets, I'm incredibly thankful to Bang Bang Bar for helping us pull off one of the best after-parties we've done in years. Fittingly, 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of both Bang Bang Bar and Panic On The Streets of San Antonio and what a way to celebrate.
