It's been years since we have been to a Mimi's. This was just awful, not only did it feel really dirty (blinds, windows) but it felt outdated and cheesy. And the food was not edible. Pineapple was old and tasted like it was rotting, corned beef hash was the worst I've ever tasted, all of the food was Luke warm and my sausage was gray. We came in about half an hour before close and Johnny welcomed us enthusiastically. Our food came out very quickly, and tasted delicious! Jambalaya with pasta, crab cakes, French onion soup, and breakfast at night for my dad! Johnny, our server, was amazingly friendly, efficient, and made us feel very welcome. Ya gotta check this out! Would just like to post some constructive criticism. When people walk through the door, even if the hostess is not at the station, someone should at least acknowledge people. After five minutes, asked for a table and was told there would be a 10 minute wait and the message was delivered like we were annoying her. Looking around, the place was 80% empty. Without an explanation of why we we needed to wait in the feeling that we were a major inconvenience, my friend, and I decided to walk out. You have everything you need drinks are filled to the rim all the time napkins are there. Food is perfect. You check on you. Ivan's services top bathrooms are sparkling, clean with many of women's room always working on the floors the tables everything is spotless in this place because of Ivan If I own a restaurant, I would definitely hire Ivan wish I could. Our Thanksgiving was terrible. We have dined at Mimi's the last two Thanksgivings and we're pleased with the experience. Today we had a terrible experience. We were seated at a wobbly metal table with nothing on it. No place settings, nothing. The waiter took our drink order and then our meal order. We asked for utensils and were told they were coming. I asked the waiter for some napkins to fix the wobbly table. He said sure and left. He brought our drinks and started to leave, I asked him again for the napkins to fix the table he said sure sorry. Our main course was brought to the table. We had no utensils and asked for them again. The utensils finally arrived and right after that our starter course finally showed up. No bread or rolls. The turkey dinner was average, not great not bad - except for the green bean casserole which had no taste whatsoever. Our waiter was was very kind but I think inexperienced or in way over his head. Drinks with no straws, starter course delivered after after the meal , and the napkins to fix the table (which a waiter should do when told about the problem) arrived right before the check. Everything was kind of a mess at that point so we asked for our pie desert to go. When we got home, I took out my pecan pie and was surprised to find the thinnest piece of pie I've ever gotten at a restaurant. The slice was a little more than an inch wide. Another disappointment. Mimi's turkey dinner is not cheap. It's not expensive but it's definitely pushing it to say that it's a $32 meal. The whole affair felt very assembly lined, move em in move em out. I've always appreciated the fact that there's a staff willing to work on Thanksgiving. But for goodness sake if you're going to use warm and cozy pictures that are inviting for a Thanksgiving Day meal at least make an effort to live up to those pictures. This was a terrible experience for my wife and I and for our guest. It was embarrassing for us because we had good experiences in the past. We had to take that long walk out to the parking lot with our guest and say we didn't know what happened it was always good in the past. I've dined in at Mimi's a couple of times in the past and we even picked up Thanksgiving dinner here whenever Thanksgiving was at mine or at my parents' house. This year Thanksgiving was at my house so we returned to Mimi's and ordered the feast, which was ready for pickup the day before. The feast consisted of your average Thanksgiving dinner. A good ol' turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberries, which was enough for my family of seven people, including myself. The food was on point, but the reason why I'm giving four stars is because of the gravy and the cranberries. The gravy was chunky, almost like it had an applesauce texture to it, and it tasted like it came out of a can. They also only gave us a half a cup of cranberries. Despite this, the rest of the feast was still worth our time, preparation, and satisfaction. I wouldn't mind having another Thanksgiving feast from Mimi's again next year. read more

Mimi's Cafe has been one of my go-to places for comfort food for the last few years now, though with the pandemic I admittedly hadn't stopped in for a long time. When I had the opportunity to sneak out of the house to grab breakfast, Mimi's was the first place I thought to go! When it comes to Mimi's, it doesn't matter what time you come in, as you're guaranteed a good meal regardless. That said, I've always been partial to their breakfast offerings because they have items that you can't quite find anywhere else. My go-to order here is the pain perdu, which is basically French toast stuffed with cream cheese and marmalade, and served with eggs and a breakfast meat. For me personally, I consider it worth it to splurge a little and get corned beef and their roast potatoes as well -- all of this together makes for quite the hearty breakfast! Of course, I will point out -- I have been to many other breakfast places that have just as impressive a menu and offerings, as you might see in my other reviews. When it comes to comfort fare in a relatively relaxed setting, though, you can't go wrong with Mimi's! If you're in the area, swing by for some warm and relaxing food with a French-style flair! We were hungry for lunch and we near the Sunset Station. We heard good things about Mimi's Cafe, so we found it and went in. Very nice, kind of like an old style inn, very rustic looking decor. We were seated prompt and perused the menu. We ended up ordering Cuq Au Vin (chicken in red wine sauce), NY Steak and eggs, and Chicken Pot Pie. Prices were fair for three kind of food that they serve. First, the Coq Au Vin was very good, juicy and tasty, and the wine sauce was delicious! The NY steak was a bit over done (ordered medium rate but got medium well) but didn't want to bother sending it back. The steak was still tasty and juicy. The eggs were perfect! Third, the chicken pot pie. It looked delicious, but the chicken was dry, and there was very little sauce, which didn't help either. Overall, the food here is very good, and we will be back to try other dishes. read more

When we walked in no one was at the hostess station waited a few minutes and was greeted with a smile and seated very promptly. 2 more parties were seated after us. We waited for our server and she did not take our drink order or food order until after the other 2 tables after us had ordered and brought there drinks. When she arrived she greeted everyone at the table took both drink and food orders and proceeded to fill them. I did not catch her name did not see a name tag nor did she introduce herself. Our drinks came promptly along with bread, soups and salad. When the main meal arrived all were lukewarm except for fish and chips came hot and fresh were a definite 10/10 only thing that was not good was coleslaw 5/10. Both pot roast dishes were average tasting 6.5/10 one pot roast had tons of carrots, the other had tons of mushrooms. No consistency. The meatloaf was 5/10 extremely dry even with the gravy and green beans not cooked long enough still hard, mash potatoes only thing good on the meal. Our drinks ran out, she refilled once but never came back to our table to check on us again until check was given. After payment she thanked us and never saw her again. While sitting in the booth we all noticed how dusty and filthy the blinds and window sill were, the furniture needs a little touch up paint, this location definitely needs a little tlc. read more

There were only 1 customer on a Friday around 6:00 when we came in and another guy came after us. The lady greeted us and was friendly and escorted us to the dining area. The restaurant was not what I expected and needs TLC! The Menu was everything from Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner which kind of confusing why Menu should be dinner only. In any event for us that was a red flag. My husband and I don't usually dine at chain food restaurants because they are mostly not fresh made and not healthy. It's just our opinion. My husband ordered Cordon Bleu and for me to be safe ordered Turkey dinner which is just okay and it was too salty except the Turkey. My husband did not like what he ordered a bit greasy and salty as well. It was my idea to try Mimi's Cafe because a few of the ladies in my fitness class mentioned that it was good. Over all it was okay but will not dine here again. Everyone is different when it comes to a choice of what a good restaurant is about. Very, VERY disappointing. It used to be so good. Im not quite sure what has happened ? Our server was very nice though,however, the food was not a very high quality. When you serve margarine instead of butter, that should have been our first indication. My pancake tasted like a flour tortilla without syrup. Even the syrup didn't taste like real syrup. The pancake had the texture of rubber. The restrooms had such a powerful odor of sewer that I recommend the health dept pay a visit to this location. I would recommend Mimi's in Henderson. The food was great! Having ordered one three course Pot Roast meal, a French Quarter hamburger, and the Bacon Avocado Omelette, we thoroughly enjoyed everything. The pot roast was like butter, which is not always the case in restaurants. The service was great with efficiency and knowledge. Had it delivered, fruit cup was spoiled, with sour fruit and smelled awful, the waffle was sour as of the batter was old as well. Didn't try the rest for safety issues. The food is excellent and prepared very well. The presentation is superb. We ordered the salmon and the pot roast dinners and were very pleased the service was great and the staff very friendly. We attended a stem cell presentation so the food was free. Even so we look forward to trying other meals here. It is a bit pricey but well worth the experience. The cheese on the onion soup tasted burnt yet had no pull. The best part was the tempura cauliflower. Don't make it seasonal. The toffee butter cake was great, but needs bigger scoop of vanilla ice cream. And if you have peach tea on your menu for a specific price you don't get to charge more. I just left Mimi's Cafe on Stephanie in Henderson Nevada about an hour ago. Waitress is nice but whoever is cooking tonight is horrible. I received the fattest ribs that topped mash potatoes. No bond all fat meat that wasn't cooked all the way. I am not picky but couldn't eat food that was not a rib as ordered. So I asked for the chicken Parmesan and received more fatty chicken that was crusted at all as the photo showed on the menu. I will include menu photo compared to what I received.
