The food was really good, and our server Ricky held it down. He held it down like LeBron did against the Warriors on that 3-1 comeback. He held it down like a nail holds down a wooden slab. Was disappointed they no longer have the bouillabaisse offered before they changed the menu. They also keep the restaurant far too cold to sit and enjoy a meal. Having said that the meal was excellent and the muffins are still a great treat! The service was fair, need to pay better attention to the customers. We had to move tables due to a group of ladies being extremely loud behind us. The waiter explained to us how they had been there for 4 hours really loud and multiple parties had to be moved because of them and the manager Jenny wouldn't do anything about it. Jenny came to our table and told us to move and said she couldn't do anything about them being loud. Wow just wow! She is not a good manager for this restaurant. Mimi's Cafe is your typical "mom and pop" American food restaurant. They have a very large menu, I was overwhelmed which is a good thing. I ordered the breakfast tacos with a side of broccoli (an attempt to get my greens for the day). I also split a mimosa flight with my friends. The flight comes with three drinks, you choose the juice which is accompanied by a very small bottle of champagne. Service was great and the ambiance was chill. No complaints here. read more

Come in on Christmas Eve morning for brunch, our waitress was amazing! The food was great and came out hot and fresh for this busy morning. My husband got the corn beef hash with malt waffles, very good. I had the Cinnamon roll french toast with Turkey sausage and eggs, very good too. Group of 5 met here for dinner on a Tuesday evening. Restaurant was not busy, service from Nestor and other wait staff was attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the Cobb Salad, with crispy bacon, avocado, egg, bleu cheese, ham, and more. It was delicious and enormous. A little pricey, but I don't go there often. My husband, toddler, and I had the most wonderful breakfast here this morning! The hostess/server was friendly and professional. We were quickly seated. The food was fantastic!! I got the Chipotle Breakfast burrito and it came with breakfast potatoes. It was absolutely delicious! My husband got the fish and chips! That was great too! Their Tatar sauce tastes so fresh. My toddler got the Chocolate chip pancakes. He liked them a lot. The only slightly negative thing I would say is about the Red Velvet Latte. We enjoyed a hearty Sunday family breakfast at Mimi's! We called ahead and there was no wait... Pedro was our server and he was amazing! He was attentive, kind and made sure we had all we needed. Well, in the past, I would say that this would be one of our go-to places when we visited the Dallas Fort Worth area. On our trip, we found out that this place is absolutely gross. Our service was awful, the carrot, raisin bread is no longer free, and the food tasted absolutely disgusting. For four of us, our bill was close to $90, without drinks! Would not recommend, at all. I was quite pleased with this place. The decor and location were very pretty. Our waiter was exceptional, very friendly and attentive. The menu has a nice variety of what I would call classic American comfort foods such as Mac and cheese, sandwiches, and roast meats. The bread basket was a delicious crusty bread that tasted very fresh.I had the mushroom and brie patty melt, and the flavor combo was very satisfying. We came in, well called an hour ahead to let them know we had a party of 21, 15 adults and 6 kids. We were so awe struck at the service provided by Anastasia. She knew how to take care of the kids. She made sure she got approval from the parent on what drinks to provide the kids, even if the kid wanted something else. Our orders were accurate and the food came out in a timely fashion. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! This was my second visit to Mimi's first time was for lunch (was just ok) this time dinner. Our waitress was awesome and offered exceptional service; the three stars are for her and a really great cup of coffee!! ($3.80..yikes) I had liver and onions w/ mashed potatoes and garlic spinach. The liver was very tough and the spinach not seasoned well, i could not taste the garlic. The gravy tasted mostly of wine which did not pair well w/ liver & Onions ( in my opinion)-i would have appreciated a basic brown gravy. My next trip will be for breakfast; hopefully it will be much tastier. I remain hopeful! read more

We had a pretty good experience here. Re: Food - Both got dishes featuring the corned beef hash. It is really good and flavorful. Heavy on the onions which is no problem for me! I got a cappuccino, it's not worth it.. get regular coffee. Re: Service - Small complaint.. We were originally seated at a table next to a family with toddler and they were playing cartoons for him on the iPad (probably necessary to keep the peace at their table) but the volume was LOUD. We requested a different table and the host staff accommodated, but I could tell they were a little annoyed. I know it's a bit of a pain, but part of good service is hiding your annoyance in that situation. We had friendly service from our server though. She was fine, waited a while for some refills, but not the worst. We'll keep it in our breakfast rotation but I wasn't blown away or anything. read more

This location is in the Arlington Highlands Shopping Center. It has a nice, cozy interior. I wasn't much of a fan of our sarcastic server. The best part of the meal was the pot pie, the dinner rolls and the iced tea. I do appreciate them for having sweet tea on their menu. The fish and chips should be removed. Maybe it's just this location since they're a chain. The fish was like school cafeteria fish. I'm not kidding. Some of the pieces were chewy and rough. The coleslaw lacked flavor. They could check in at Long John Silver's or KFC for how coleslaw should actually taste. The frites were the best part and I'm not even a fan of skinny fries. I would just probably go back to this chain for the breakfast menu or dessert and drinks. read more

This review is a 4-star ONLY because of our server: Christine. So...a friend and I were seated on the patio. Two servers came out to the patio twice and did not acknowledge us at all. They waited on the other people/tables that were there when we arrived but never acknowledged us. After being ignored twice, I went in to let the hostess know and the hostess apologized for two servers who refused to acknowledge us or take our order. The hostess brought us water and as she was doing that, another server appeared (Christine). Christine apologized for the behavior of the two servers who ignored us. I was able to dine at Mimi's for breakfast. We were seated right away and had a wonderful server. I ordered the Madris Gras omelette, which came with breakfast potatoes and a huge muffin. The omelette was just okay...nothing to write home about. I'm sure there are better omelette options on the menu. The person dining with me ordered the Perdu with mixed berries. She let me sample it and my goodness it was amazing! She was highly pleased as well. A must visit spot!! We sat at the bar because it was open seating and we got a spot quickly. We were greeted by the bartender and told our waitress would be along shortly. Bartender took our drink orders and along came this breath of fresh air...Ke'Onna!! She was charming, sweet, informative and a delight! Amazing service! Our meal was just as wonderful! Husband started with a blueberry muffin (baked every morning and served warmed). He couldn't get enough! It was light and cooked to perfection with a crumble topping. The butter just melted. He ordered a salmon omelet with potatoes and I ordered the marbled waffles. Both meals were homemade and delicious!! I understand this is covid times, but that means to me that your cleaning should be on point. The restaurant was disgusting. The bathroom floor was sticky, toilet paper rolls everywhere, and no papertowel. We sat at our seat and it was disgusting, we had to leave. The closed tables just had stuff strewn on them, and everything was sticky. If this is how they keep where people can see, I can't imagine how the kitchen looks. I literally saw a waitress walk outside with a handful of cutlery . This used to be one of my favorite places, but I will not be back. read more
